(2004-Up Nissan Armada, without the power
lift gate)
This Stealthbox is a product which
requires professional installation skills and
tools.
Please read this installation guide thor-
oughly before beginning the project. It
will guide you step by step through the
installation.Several of the steps in this
process may require two people to
accomplish.
It is absolutely vital that the enclosure
be properly mounted to the vehicle
according to these instructions. Failure
to mount the enclosure properly pres-
ents two problems: 1)The sub-bass
performance will suffer due to the
movement of the enclosure caused by
the force exerted by the woofer(s) and
2) A loose enclosure presents a serious
safety hazard in the event of a collision
or sudden deceleration.

STEP 1:
Clear out any contents from the
cargo area.
STEP 2:
Fold down the third row seating.
STEP 3:
Remove the driver’s side rear stor-
age door and remove the jack.
STEP 4:
Remove the sill plate,floor storage
door and cargo area carpeting.
STEP 5:
There are a pair of tie-down cleats
that need to be removed from the driver’s
side.
Pull the metal loop up and with a flat blade
screw driver pop up the plastic clip.
STEP 6:
Lower the metal loop and feed the
plastic clip through the metal loop.
With a 10mm socket,remove the bolts from
each cleat.

STEP 7: With a 14mm socket, remove the dri-
ver’s side third row seat belt.
STEP 11: With a second person, carefully remove
the lower portion of the driver’s side rear panel.
When removing the bottom panel,
Do not let the guides that are found at the top of
the bottom panel scratch the upper panel.

STEP 8: With a 14mm open end wrench,
remove the driver side second row seat belt.
STEP 12: With a 10mm socket,remove the 5
bolts that secure the jack bracket.
There are two bolts that are hidden,look down into
the bracket area locate them.
Remove the jack bracket out of the SUV.
STEP 9: Remove the driver’s side rear door sill
plate. STEP 10: Remove the cargo net loop, that is
found on the driver’s side rear cargo side panel.
With a small flat blade screw driver, pop the front of
the button out. Remove the net loop assembly com-
pletely out of the panel.

STEP 13(A): Cut out the pocket and the jack pass through from the side panel.
Cut below the storage door guide slots.This way the door will still fit,if Stealthbox is
removed.Use tape for a cutting guide.

STEP 13(B): You can use different cutting tools.
Here we used a cutting wheel.
STEP 15: Back inside the SUV, Look into the area that the Stealthbox is going to
reside.There is a metal lip to the left. On this lip there is an exposed hole. Measure 3/4”
from the middle of this hole down and mark.

STEP 14: Use a sanding wheel or just sand paper
to clean off the edge off the cut.
STEP 16: There is a metal lip to the right. On this lip there is also an exposed hole.
Measure 1-1/4” from the middle of this hole downward and mark.

STEP 17: *CAUTION*
Before drilling, make sure that you are not going to
be drilling into any electrical wiring or anything else
that might cause a reduction in your weekly pay.
Always wear eye protection when drilling.
With the use of a 1/2” drill bit and drill. Drill at the
marks from STEPs 14 & 15.

STEP 18: Place the supplied slotted mounting bar
into mounting area.The bar will go behind the open-
ing.
The slot needs to be facing up.
STEP 22: Place the supplied socket cup set screw
into the Stealtbox.
Leaving about 1-1/2”exposed.

STEP 19: With the slotted mounting bar into posi-
tion. Place a supplied 1/4”lock washer, 1/4” flat wash-
er onto each supplied bolt.
Slide each assembly through the drilled hole and
through the slotted mounting bar.
Place another flat washer and a hex nut onto each
bolt. (As in picture above)
STEP 23(A): Under the driver’s side rear section
of the SUV.You need to remove the black vent.
Place a large flat blade between the vent lip and the
metal.There are two areas that have push clips. Push
these clips with the flat blade and pop out the vent.

STEP 23(B): With the vent removed, this is
going to allow access to the Stealthbox. STEP 24: With help from a second person, place
the Stealthbox into mounting area.
STEP 21: Run speaker wire from the amplifier
location to the Stealthbox.Make sure that the
speaker wire is running over the mounting bar.
Double check the woofer for proper operation.

STEP 20: Replace the driver’s side rear cargo
panel, rear belts, driver’s side rear door sill plate back
inside the SUV from STEPs 5 - 11.

JLAudio recommends using a high quality amplifier such as the JLAudio 500/1. The diagram below shows the recommended
crossover,infrasonic filter and equalizer settings for the 500/1 when being used to power your Stealthbox®.

STEP 25: Reach up through the removed vent
area from STEP 22. Place the supplied fender
washer, flat washer, lock washer and hex nut onto
the socket cup set screw.
Again, through the removed vent area. Using a
15mm deep socket and long extension, secure the
mounting assembly to the slotted mounting bar.
Replace the vent.
STEP 26: Replace side carpet, cargo cleats, carpet-
ed storage flooring and floor storage door. STEP 27: Secure the jack with the pair of straps
that are found in the floor storage.
