Changing the language
Connect to a 12V baery and press OK If the language is in
German then press |<< and then press
Display reads AUSWAHL - SPRACHE WAHLEN
Press OK and then The display shows English
Press OK and then |<< then OK again
You can now perform a baery test

Quick Start Guide
Use the and arrows to answer quesons and OK to
proceed.
SELECT TEST scrolls between:
 IN-VEHICLE
 OUT-OF-VEHICLE
SELECT CHARGE scrolls between:
 BEFORE CHARGE
 AFTER CHARGE
SELECT TYPE scrolls through:
 REGULAR FLOODED (normal acid baery)
 EFB (Enhanced Flooded Baery)
 GEL (Use also for Lithium)
 AGM SPIRAL (Absorbed Glass Mat in spiral tubes more
commonly car or leisure)
 AGM FLAT PLATE (Absorbed Glass Mat between conven-
onal at plates)
Depending on type you may be asked to scroll through:
 TOP POST - REMOTE -SIDE POST

SELECT INPUT* scrolls through:
 CCA (Cold Cranking Amps enter Amps)
 CA (Cranking Amps enter Amps)
 BCI (Baery Council Internaonal calibraon enter Amps)
 MCA (Marine Cranking Amperage enter Amps)
 SAE (Society of Automove Engineers reference enter
Amps)
 GB (Chinese Baery Standard enter Amps)
 IEC (Internaonal Electrotechnical Commission rang en-
ter Amps)
 EN (European Norm rang enter Amps)
 JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard rang enter Type)
 DIN (German Instute of Standardisaon enter Amps)

SET RATING enter the relevant A rang by using the or
arrows

TESTING the BAT 800 enters its test cycle
The nal display will indicate the result with the following
abbreviaons
 SOH (State of Health)
 SOC (State of Charge)
 V (voltage)
 A (cranking amps)
 Intern R (Internal Resistance)
GOOD BATTERY – REPLACE - RECHARGE
TESTING IN VEHICLE
May show BATTERY TEMP ABOVE 32 F press OK
Goes through a stac test
Press OK
Follow on screen instrucons to go through the full test in-
cluding a ripple test on the regulator/recer, test the re-
quired amps to start to highlight starter motor issues, the
charging rate at idle and the charging rate under load.
