Care andmaintenance
Wood Furniture
Wood displays different grain patterns depending on which way theycut - for example, the ‘medullary ray’ which can
appear onoak furniture isa mark ofgood quality timber - these are just characteristics ofthe natural beauty ofthe wood.
Some furniture isalsodeliberately aged andrustic.
Wood veneers alsoallowdistinctive patterns tobe created onflat surfaces, such as table tops anddrawer fronts by the way
the slivers are arranged.
All timber surfaces will change colour andmellow over time. New furniture will initially varyinshade from items that have
been previously purchased.
How to care for your wood furniture
Furniture with a hard lacquer should be dusted with a dry cloth.
Spray polishes are best avoided astheycontain silicones which may spoil the furniture’s surface by building up over time.
Make sure all surfaces are protected from heat andliquids bymats andcoasters. Wipe upspills immediately and ensure that
a mat or pad isplaced under paper if you arewriting.
Our furniture will endure most temperatures inthe home but it is best to avoid placing furniture next to heat sources such
as radiators or fires. Beparticularly careful with solid wood asthe lack ofhumidity caused bycentral heating can cause
damage such as warping.
Safety instructions
This product is suitable for children in the age range of 3 - 12 years.
Periodically check all fixings toensure none have come loose andre-tighten where necessary. Do not use this item if any
components are missing or damaged.
Please take care when handling ormoving the furniture as careless handling may cause damage or injury.
Furniture can bedangerous if incorrectly installed. Assembly should becarried out by a competent adult only.
During assembly children should be kept away from the product due to possible risk of injury.
Maximum suitable weight load: 15kg.
No liability will be accepted for damage or injury caused by incorrectly installed or assembled furniture.
