Sound driver installation
1. GENERAL INFORMATION

2. ASSEMBLY AND INSTALLATION2. INSTALLATION
The following steps are necessary to install the sound driver.
Enter the following commands in sequence:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install git
git clone https://github.com/shivasiddharth/GassistPi
cd GassistPi/audio-drivers/AIY-HAT/scripts
sudo chmod +x ./configure-driver.sh
sudo ./configure-driver.sh
sudo reboot
cd GassistPi/audio-drivers/AIY-HAT/scripts
sudo chmod +x ./install-alsa-config.sh
sudo ./install-alsa-config.sh
sudo reboot
The installation is now complete and you can test your device.
To test your speaker, enter the following command in the terminal:
speaker-test
To test your microphone, you can start a 5-second recording with the
following command
arecord -f S16_LE -d 5 test.wav
You can listen to the file you have just recorded with the following com-
mand:
aplay test.wav
To adjust the volume of your speaker, enter the following command:
alsamixer
Now you can adjust the volume with the arrow keys.
Press ESC to exit the settings menu.
