Before first use
• Wash Blending Unit 2in warm soapy
water, rinse and dry: the Blending Unit
2is Dishwasher Safe. Beware Sharp

the Motor Unit 1with a damp, soapy
cloth and dry thoroughly. DO NOT

Assembly
• Ensure that the Motor Unit 1is
disconnected from the electricity supply
before assembly.
• The Motor Unit 1drops into the
Blending Unit 2, and positively LOCKS
when rotated clockwise.
How to Use
• The Hand Blender should be used with
a suitable bowl which is sited on a dry,
level and stable surface, away from
direct heat. Start blending by using the
Low Speed 4to avoid splashing.
• Allow cooked solid food to cool a
little before blending - recommended
maximum temperature is 65°C. The
maximum temperature of liquid foods
that can be processed is also 65°C, but
it is better to process all foods at a lower
temperature if possible.
• Food to be blended should be cut into
approx. 2cm / ¾” pieces - if you want an
even blend, start with pieces of about
the same size. If ‘stringy’ ingredients are
being processed such as celery or leeks,
regularly clean the Cutter Head 3.
Cleaning
• Unplug the Hand Blender from the
electricity socket before cleaning.
Thoroughly wash the Blending Unit
2in warm soapy water and dry with
a soft cloth. The Blending Unit 2is
dishwasher safe.
• Wipe the Motor Unit 1with a damp,
soapy cloth and dry thoroughly. DO NOT
IMMERSE THE MOTOR UNIT IN WATER.
• Store the Hand Blender, with blades
protected, in a safe place to prevent
accidents - out of the reach of children
Cautions
• Before use, check that your Mains power
supply corresponds to the voltage shown
in this Manual (also shown on the Rating
Label of the Hand Blender, located on
the Motor Unit).
• Do not connect the plug into your socket
with wet hands.
• Do not operate the Hand Blender with
wet hands.
• Unplug the unit whenever it is not in use,
and before cleaning or dismantling.
• The Power Cord should not hang over
the side of the worktop, where it could
accidentally snagged or pulled by
children.
• Pull the plug (do not pull Power Cord)
to disconnect from mains socket. Do
not move the Hand Blender around by
pulling the Power Cord.
• Do not allow the Power Cord to touch
any hot surface.
• If the Power Cord has been damaged in
any way do not operate the appliance -
contact Judge Customer Services at the
address given in the Warranty section.
• This appliance is not intended for use
by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or lack of experience or
knowledge, unless they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use
of the appliance by a person responsible
for their safety.
• Always keep the Hand Blender out of
the reach of children.
• The Hand Blender should only be used
as instructed: there is potential for injury
from misuse.
• Care must be taken when handling
the sharp blades in the Blending Unit:
always unplug the Hand Blender before
cleaning or clearing the Cutter Head.
• Do not use fingers to scrape food away
from the sharp blades - keep fingers well
away from rotating blades at all times.
A plastic scraper may be used, but only
when the electricity supply has been
disconnected.
• The bowl used must be located in a level,
stable position before operating the
Hand Blender.
• Do not switch on or attempt to operate
the appliance if it appears to be faulty
in any way - contact Judge Customer
Services at the address given in the

Hand Blender yourself - contact Judge
Customer Services at the address given

• Do not immerse the Motor Unit in water
to clean.
• Make sure that all surfaces that
come into contact with food are
kept scrupulously clean. Wipe work
surfaces before and after use with an
antibacterial cleaner.
• Please keep your Purchase Receipt.
