whichsoundisrecordedinexactlythesameway
ashumanearspickupsound,i.e.throughmicro-
phones(suchasJVCHM-200Eheadphone-micro-
phones)installedintheearsofanartificialhead
whichacousticallysimulatesthehumanhead.
Binauralrecordingcontributesgreatlytoan
enhancedfeelingofpresence.
BINAURALPLAYBACK
Playbackofbinauralrecordingsthroughhead-
phonesiscalled"binauralplayback".Thissuggests
thatbinauralrecordingscanonlybereproduced
throughheadphones.
