JVC D-ILA DLA-RS45 Quick start guide

for DLA-RS45
Th s manual descr bes how to update the f rmware for the DLA-RS45model.
**CAUTION** Do not unplug unit while firmware is being updated.
Please carry out the update n the order shown below:

１. Install Software
F rst download the projector update software from the JVC webs te to your desktop on your computer.
Th s example uses the DLA-X70R
(1) Double-cl ck the downloaded f le on the desktop. Th s w ll start the nstaller.
(2) The d alog box shown on the r ght w ll appear.
Cl ck the [Next] button.
(3) The d alog box shown on the r ght w ll appear.
Cl ck the [Next] button.

(4) The d alog box shown on the r ght w ll appear.
Cl ck the [Next] button
w th the dest nat on unchanged.

Cl ck the [Next] button.

Cl ck the [Install] button.

After nstallat on s complete,
cl ck the [F n sh] button to ex t the w zard.

2. Projector LAN Sett ngs
(1) Connect the projector to a PC w th a LAN cable.
(2) Connect the power cord to the projector and turn on.
(3) Set "Commun cat on Term nal" under the "Funct on" tab n the menu to "LAN".
(4) Open "Network" tem under the "Funct on" tab n the menu.
(5) Projector Network Sett ngs
Set the "DHCP Cl ent" to "Off".
Set the"IP Address" of projector to an address d fferent from that of the PC.
Recommended No.

Set the "Subnet Mask" and "Default Gateway" of projector to the same values
as the PC.
Press "Set" followed by OK to apply the new sett ngs.

Press [SET] by followed OK. The d alog box shown below w ll appear.
Press [Yes] to apply the new sett ng.
*Please make sure that the IP address chosen for the projector is unique.
This is essential for correct operation.

Please make sure the PC is connected directly to the projector.
Except for the PC and the projector, there should be no other devices on
the (LAN) network.

3. Projector Software Update
The software s accepted when the projector n STAND-BY Mode.
For example DLA-X70R
(1) Cl ck "Start" on PC →Select "ILA-FPJ X70R" from "ALL programs"
Th s w ll start the ILA-FPJ Updater.
Note:
Press [Update F rmware] Set IP Address to projector's IP address f requ red.
(2) The software update w ll start. Please wa t unt l t s f n shed.
Caution:
Do not unplug the cable while
the update s n progress.
The STANDBY nd cator d splay l ghts Orange when start ng the update. Then the three LEDs will light up.
Close Up LEDs
If a Windows Firewall warning message
appears, please select "Unblock".
The first part of the update (Main Firmware)
will proceed quickly.
The second part of the update (Sub Firmware)
will proceed very slowly.
The entire update process will take over
10 minutes. Please continue to wait.

After the progress bar reaches 100%, the three LEDs w ll begin flashing. Please continue to wait.
After a wh le, the STAND-BY l ght w ll l ght Red. The others w ll be off.
(3) The update has been completed. Close the update program.
(4) After updat ng, remove the power cable from the projector, wa t unt l all l ghts go out, then reconnect power.
Please check that the software vers on: 28.056 has been updated after f n sh ng the update.
The vers on number s ava lable n the Informat on tab of the projector menu.
