erating state of the machine. Operating messages are identi‐

1.1.1 A diagnostic message shuts the machine down. Diagnostic
messages provide information regarding the status of the con‐
troller and the connected input/output modules. They also as‐
sist authorised service partners with troubleshooting. Diagnos‐
