Switch-on:
Insert the SteakChamp in
the Activator riefly.
SteakChamp switches on
immediately and auto-
matically. A flashing signal
(a out every 6 sec.)
indicates that SteakChamp
is now active.
Insert the SteakChamp
sideways into the meat,
until it is completely inside
and only the wings
protrude from the meat.
For correct results it is
necessary to place the
SteakChamp in the center
of the cut.
Prepare your steak as
desired, turning several
times and watch the Steak-
Champ: A slow flashing
(every 1.5 seconds) indi-
cates that your steak must
e removed from the grill
soon.
When a fast dou le flash
signal appears, take the
steak off the heat source.
Put it on a warm plate or
wooden oard and let it
rest for a while.
The steak is “perfect” when
the dou le signal stops
flashing.
The SteakChamp has een
automatically switched-off.
Remove the SteakChamp
from the meat using the
puller.

hRead these safety and handling instructions carefully. Only if you keep all instructions and recommendations
you will enjoy this electronic, battery-driven product for a long time.
hThis tool is not a toy and should only be handled by adults as des ribed in the instru tions for preparing
steaks from beef uts. Only use when a tivated (LED is flashing about every six se onds). Do not use the
devi e, when LED does not flash after a tivation. Other uses may ause damage to the tool or its ele troni
me hanisms, or its destru tion. Children an be injured by the tip of the probe.
hThe tool may be ome very hot when used. Always use prote tive mittens when handling it. Remove the tool
from the steak only after it has ooled somewhat and always use the dedi ated pulling tool („A tivator“)
delivered with the devi e for removal.
hThe tool must be removed from the heat sour e (grill, frying pan, or oven) when the double flash sign
appears (at least 90 se onds of flashing), however no later than when the double flash signal has stopped.
Further heat exposure may damage the tool and destroy its ele troni assembly.
hNever expose the devi e to heat beyond 170° F, ex ept when the probe is entirely pla ed inside the meat.
Never put it into a mi rowave.
hNever open the tool. Batteries annot be repla ed.
hHandle this tool with are. Impa t from falling even from low heights or other blows might damage it or
impair its fun tioning.
CLEANING AND STORAGE
hClean your SteakChamp before first use and after ea h use immediately with a damp loth or a rinsing sponge.
You may rinse it with water. You may use mild detergents. For reasons of hygiene we re ommend leaning
the devi e also before ea h use. Do not put it in a dishwasher. Never immerse the tool in water.
hThe tool should be stored in the pa kaging it ame in and must be stored at a temperature between
-10°C / 15°F and maximum +50°C / 120°F.
hAvoid onta t with magnets and magneti fields. The tool an be a tivated by onta t with magnets, whi h
uses up its battery and thus redu es the battery life.
NOTES FOR DISPOSAL
hHelp us prote t the environment. Dispose of pa kaging material and out-of use-devi es a ording to
regulations. Obtain the ne essary instru tions from your muni ipal administration.
hUnused ele troni devi es may not be disposed of in household waste. They must be olle ted a ording
to the regulations of the ountry where they are used, and thrown into designated bins or delivered to
re y ling enters.

Check list:
hBuy good meat, e.g. a nice piece of roast eef with fat lining, a out 4 cm /
1.5 inches thick.
hRemove the meat from the fridge an hour efore cooking.
hOptional: now you can coat the steak with a little oil, and sprinkle over a little
salt, seasoning proper is for later on.
hAdd oil or fat to the frying pan, or coat the grill grates with oil.
hChoose your SteakChamp (e.g. medium rare), switch on and insert into the
steak.
hFry or grill oth sides of the steak for around two minutes over high heat.
hReduce heat (cooker: half a turn, grill to approx. 130 to 170°C / 260 to 340° F)
and raise over medium heat... turn the steak every 2 to 3 minutes to ensure
even results.
hWhen SteakChamp dou le flashes, remove steak from the heat and leave to
rest on a wooden oard (cover not wrap with aluminium foil)... until the dou le
flash signal stops. Your steak is now perfect.
hRemove SteakChamp, sprinkle over sea salt and freshly ground pepper, and
that’s it! Enjoy your steak.
