INSTRUCTIONS D’UTILISATION ET D’ENTRETIEN
Ce casque est conforme aux termes des normes américaines F1163.
Avant d’utiliser votre casque KASK, veuillez bien lire les instructions suivantes. Il est essentiel
d’utiliser ce casque correctement, car un défaut de suivi des procédures correctes pourrait
compromettre votre sécurité.
Le fabricant et le détaillant déclinent toute responsabilité en cas d’accident entrainant des
blessures ou le décès du cavalier à cause d’une utilisation incorrecte de ce casque.
Ce casque a été conçu, fabriqué et approuvé an d’assurer une protection optimale
pendant les activités équestres. Il ne doit pas être utilisé à des ns différentes de celles
prévues par le fabricant.
Il n’est ni certié ni testé pour protéger les utilisateurs contre les forces d’écrasement
pouvant être ressenties au cas où un cheval ou un gros animal piétinerait le casque ou
roulerait sur le casque de son utilisateur.
PORT DU CASQUE
Par mesure de prévention, il est impératif de porter le casque pendant toutes les activités
équestres. Pour une protection adéquate, ce casque doit être porté correctement et ajusté
en conséquence à la taille de votre tête ; pour cette raison, nous proposons plusieurs tailles
aux cavaliers.
Serrez la sangle en insérant une boucle dans l’autre jusqu’à ce que vous entendiez un déclic
(Fig. 2). Vériez que la boucle est bien bloquée en tirant dessus. Ajustez la longueur de
la mentonnière pour bien xer le casque sur votre tête et éviter que le casque ne tombe.
Veillez à ce que la mentonnière soit bien réglée et serrée.
La bague en caoutchouc doit être positionnée au bout de la bande pour éviter qu’elle ne
se balance.
Pour être porté correctement, le casque ne devrait pas bouger vers l’avant, l’arrière ou les
côtés (Fig. 1).
Pour enlever le casque, ouvrez la mentonnière en faisant coulisser la boucle femelle vers
l’avant (Fig. 2).
Toute modication du port approprié du casque pourrait compromettre la sécurité du
cavalier.
RECOMMANDATIONS
Avant et après chaque utilisation, contrôlez l’état de l’intérieur et de l’extérieur du casque,
ainsi que de la mentonnière.
Lorsque vous n’utilisez pas le casque, rangez-le à l’abri des rayons du soleil et ne l’exposez
pas à des températures inférieures à -20 °C ou supérieures à 50 °C.
N’essayez jamais de réparer ou de modier le casque. Suite à un impact violent, même si le
casque ne présente aucun dégât visible, il doit être remplacé car le matériau absorbeur de
chocs pourrait avoir épuisé sa capacité de protection et ne serait donc plus en mesure de
servir son objectif premier si d’autres impacts devaient se produire.
La date de fabrication est indiquée à l’intérieur du casque, sous la doublure interne. La
durée de vie de ce casque KASK dépend des soins et de l’entretien dont il bénécie, ainsi
que de la fréquence d’utilisation.
ATTENTION
La protection offerte par le casque dépend des circonstances de l’accident ; le port d’un
casque de protection ne saurait toujours empêcher le décès du cavalier ou les handicaps
à long terme.
SOINS PARTICULIERS
Nettoyez avec un savon neutre et de l’eau uniquement. Laissez sécher à l’air. Ne nettoyez
jamais avec des solvants ou des détergents chimiques (diluant, acétone, trichloroéthylène,
etc.) car ils peuvent altérer les caractéristiques et la qualité du casque. Veuillez éviter de
manière générale les substances corrosives ou agressives.
GARANTIE
Pour des réparations ou des réclamations sous garantie, veuillez prendre contact avec votre
revendeur KASK.
KASK accepte d’offrir au revendeur à titre gratuit le remplacement de tout composant
défectueux nécessaire à la réparation du casque pendant une période de deux ans à
compter de la date de la facture.
La garantie ne s’applique pas à :
- une non-conformité d’utilisation et d’entretien spéciés.
- des réparations ou des modications (impliquant le démontage total ou partiel du casque)
par l’utilisateur ou une société non approuvée par KASK.
MARQUAGE / ÉTIQUETAGE :
Informations contenues à l’intérieur du casque, imprimées sur l’étiquette située sous la
doublure, à n’enlever sous aucun prétexte (Fig. 3).

This hardhat is in compliance with the terms of the American Standards F1163.
Before using your KASK hardhat, please read the following instruction carefully. It is essential
to use this hardhat properly, as not following the correct procedures could compromise your
safety.
In case an accident occurs, resulting in injury or death and it is due to the incorrect use of
this hardhat, the manufacturer and the retailer decline all responsibility.
This hardhat has been designed, produced and approved so as to ensure optimal protection
during equestrian activities. It should not be used for purposes other than those specied
by the manufacturer.
It is not certied or tested to protect users against the crushing forces that may be sustained
by a horse or other large animal stepping onto the helmet or rolling onto the helmet of its
user.
WEARING THE HARDHAT
As a preventive measure, it is imperative to wear the hardhat during all equestrian activities.
For adequate protection, this hardhat must be worn correctly and adjusted according to the
size of your head; to ensure this, several sizes are available to riders.
Fasten the strap by inserting one buckle in the other until you hear it snap in place (Fig. 2).
Check that the buckle is locked by tugging on it. Adjust the length of the chin-strap to rmly
secure the helmet on your head and avoid the risk of the hardhat being pulled off. Ensure
that the chinstrap is properly adjusted and tightened.
The rubber ring must be positioned at the end of the tape to prevent it dangling.
To be worn correctly, the hardhat should not move either back and forth or sideways (Fig. 1).
To remove the helmet from the head, open the chin-strap by sliding the female buckle
forward (Fig. 2).
Any modication to the proper wearing of the hardhat could compromise the safety of the
rider.
RECOMMENDATIONS
Before and after each use, check the condition of the hardhat inside and outside, as well
as the chin strap.
When you’re not using the hardhat, store it away from direct sunlight and do not expose it
to temperatures below -20°C (-4°F) or above 50°C (122°F).
Never attempt to repair or modify the hardhat. Following a violent impact, even if the
hardhat shows no visible damage, it must be replaced because the shock-absorbing
material may have exhausted its protective capacity and therefore be unable to serve its
purpose in the event of further impact.
The date of manufacturing appears inside the hardhat, under the inner padding. The
lifespan of this KASK hardhat depends on the care and maintenance it receives, as well as
on the frequency of its use.
TAKE CARE
The protection offered by the helmet depends on the circumstances of the accident; the
wearer of a protective helmet will not always prevent death or long-term disability.
SPECIAL CARE
Clean with neutral soap and water only. Allow to air dry. Never clean with solvents or
chemical detergents (paint thinner, acetone, trichloroethylene, etc.) because they can alter
the characteristics and quality of the hardhat. In general, avoid contact with corrosive or
aggressive substances.
WARRANTY
For service or claims under the warranty, please see your KASK dealer.
KASK agrees to supply the dealer free of charge with a replacement for any defective
component required to repair the hardhat for a period of two years from the date of the
purchase invoice.
The warranty does not apply to:
- non-compliance with the specied use and maintenance.
- repairs or modications (involving the total or partial disassembly of the hardhat) made by
the user or a company not approved by KASK.
MARKINGS/LABELLING:
The information contained on the inside of the helmet, printed on the label under the
padding, should not be removed for any reason (Fig.3).
