GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS
Thisproductmustbegrounded.Ifitshouldmalfunctionorbreakdown,groundingprovidesapathofleastresistanceforelectric
shock. This product is equipped with an equipment-grounding conductor and a grounded plug. The plug must be plugged into an
appropriate outlet that is properly installed and grounded in accordance with all local codes and ordinances.
DANGER: Improper connection of the equipment-grounding conductor can result in a risk of electric shock. Check with a qualified electrician
or serviceman if you are in doubt as to whether the product is properly grounded. Do not modify the plug provided with the product—if it will
not fit the outlet, have a proper outlet installed by a qualified electrician.
This product is for use only on a nominal 120V circuit and has a grounded plug that looks like the plug illustrated in Figure A below.

SAFETY DURING INSTALLATION
• ThisproductusesanormalAlternatingCurrent(AC)circuitandhasagroundpinasdisplayedinthegureto
theright.Alwaysmakesurethatthechairisconnectedtoanoutletthathasthesamecongurationasthe
plug,andisfullyinsertedintotheoutlet.Ifthechairshouldmalfunctionorbreakdown,thegroundingwill
provide a path of least resistance for electrical current to help reduce the risk of electric shock.
• This chair must be plugged into an appropriate outlet that has been properly installed and grounded in
accordancewithalllocalcodesandordinances.Itisrecommendedtoalwaysuseasurgeprotector.
• Do not use with any type of transformer device.
• Do not use the chair with a power supply other than those shown in the image on page 5
(Model,PowerSupplyAC120V).
• Make sure the main switch is in the OFF position before inserting the plug into the outlet.

• Do not move the chair while someone is in it.
• Do not stand on this chair.
• Do not sit on any part of the chair other than the seat.

• Do not wrap the power or remote cord around your body or place the chair on top of the cord.

• Do not use this chair with the back pad removed.

• Topreventdisconnection,besuretodoublecheckallconnectionsbygentlypullingontheelectricalconnectorsandairhoses.
• Ifnotconnectedproperly,theaircellswillnotinateasdesigned.
CAUTION
STEP 1
Unbox chair and place in designated area.
STEP 3
Lift the leg rest so the brackets on it aligns with the
connectiononthemainbody.Loweron/pressinuntilyou
hear a click and the limit level pin is securely holding the
leg rest in place.
STEP 2
Place the leg rest in front of the chair. Connect the one
electrical connector and the one airline from the leg
rest to the base of the chair. Ensure that the electrical
connector’s tab faces the correct direction and is fully
snappedin,andthattheairlineispushedonasfarasit
will go.

Secure the Velcro on the leg rest to the Velcro on the front of the seat.

Power the chair.
• Plug the power cord into the back base of
the chair (Figure 5A)
• Turn on the main power switch (Figure 5B)

• Never move the chair while it is operating or when someone is in it.
• Asthechairisheavy,pleaseexerciseextracarenottoabruptlydropit.Thismaycausedamagetotheooraswellasthe
internal components of the chair.
CAUTION
Beforemovingthechair,turnoffthemainpoweranddisconnectthepowerplugfromthe
wall outlet.
Bind the cables and put them in the seat to avoid damage when moving the chair.
Option 1—Carrying the Chair:
• Haveonepersoncarefullyliftthefootrestend,whileasecondpersonliftsatthe
head of the chair.
• Carry to desired location.
Option 2—Rolling the Chair:
• Push down at the head of the chair until it is angled and resting on the casters located
on the back base of the chair.
• Pushthechairtothedesiredlocation,thencarefullysetdown.
NOTE: Do not angle more than 40 degrees or the plastic base of the chair
will rub on the floor.
NOTE: For risk of scratching the floor, do not roll the chair on wooden floors,
or other easily damaged surfaces.
