1. Programme de livraison -

2. Branchement électrique
Contrôler si les caractéristiques de tension
et de fréquence correspondent aux indica-
tions portées sur le convertisseur HF.
3. Montageetmiseenservicedela
broche HF EWL 4010
3.1 Les orifices d'entrée et de sortie de
l'air de refroidissement doivent absolument
être tenus libres.
3.2 En aucun cas, des corps étrangers
ou des lubrifiants ne doivent être aspirés en
même temps que l'air de refroidissement.
3.3 La broche HF EWL 4010 ne doit
pas être inondée par les produits de refroi-
dissement ou de lubrification.
3.4 En montant la broche faites atten-
tion à un logement complètement cylin-
drique.
3.5 N'employez jamais de la force.
3.6 La broche peut être serrée sur tou-
te la longueur de son enveloppe. Il est re-
commandable de serrer à grande surface
et si possible au milieu de la broche.
3.7 Faites attention au sens de rotati-
on (voir la flèche sur la plaque de type).
3.8 Actionner la broche HF EWL 4010
seulement si un outil ou une tige d'essai
y a été fixé. Il faut absolument éviter les
secousses ou les coups contre l'outilfixé.
On doit se servir du moteur broche qu'avec
des outils absolument bien équilibres.

Il faut que observer les prescriptions
de prévention des accidents.
Il faut respecter le maximum de la vitesse
de rotation, l'avance et d'autres règles spé-
cifiques prescrite par le fabricant de l'outil.
3.9 La responsabilité de KaVo EWL
n'est pas engagée lorsque les dommages
et leurs suites résultent de manipulations
ou de modifications du produit effectuées
par le client ou des tiers non autorisés par
KaVo EWL.

2. Conexión eléctrica
Verificar que la tensión y la frecuencia
indicadas coinciden con los datos del
convertidor AV.
3. Montaje y servicio del husillo del
motor AV EWL 4010.
3.1 Mantener imprescindiblemente li-
bres la entrada y la salida del aire refri-
gerante.
3.2 Junto con el aire refrigerante no
deben ser aspirados ninguna clase de cu-
erpos extraños ni lubricantes.
3.3 El husillo del motor AV EWL 4010
no debe quedar inundado por los agentes
refrígerantes o lubricantes.
3.4 Al montar del husillo hay que ob-
servarunalojamientocompletamentecilínd-
rico.
3.5 Nunca emplear la violencia.
3.6 Se puede sujetar sobre todo el
largodel revestimento. No obstante es reco-
mendable de sujetar a gran superficie y si
posible al medio des husillo.
3.7 Hay que observar el sentido de
giro según la flecha sobre la placa indicdo-
ra de tipo.
3.8 Hacer funcionar el husillo del mo-
tor AV EWL 4010 únicamente teniendo
sujetado en el mismo una herramienta o
espiga de verificación. Evitar imprescindi-
blemente toda clase de golpes o impactos
en la herramienta sujetada.
Trabajar únicamente con herramientas que
no estén desequilibradas.
!
Hay que observar las prescripciónes
de prevención de accidentes!
Es imprescindible observar el máximo del
número de revoluciones, el avance y otras
instrucciones específicas del fabricante
de las herramientas.
3.9 La garantía caduca si defectos o
repercusiones de éstos son consecuencia
de modificaciones o reparaciones por ma-
nos no autorizados por KaVo EWL.

Check that voltage and frequency match
the data given for the HF-converter.
3. Fitting and commencing operati-
on of HF-Motor-Spindle EWL 4010
3.1 Cooling air inlet and outlet must not
be obstructed.
3.2 No foreign bodies or lubricants must
be sucked in with the cooling air.
3.3 The HF-Motor-Spindle EWL 4010
must not be flooded with coolant or
lubricants.
3.4 When mounting the spindle pay
attention to a completely cylindrical sea-
ting.
3.5 Please apply no violence at all.
3.6 The spindle can be clamped on its
whole casing length. It is recommended to
clamp a large surface, and if possible in the
middle of the spindle.
3.7 Mind the direction of rotation (see
arrow on the type plate).
3.8 Operate the HF-Motor-Spindle EWL
4010 only with a tool or test pin fitted. It is
essential not to subject the fitted tool to jolts
or impacts.
Use only tools free of unbalance.

Regulations for the prevention of
accidents are to be observed!
Permitted max. speed, forward feed and
further specific instructions indicated by the
manufacturer are to be observed.
3.9 Any liability shall be excluded if de-
fects or the consequences thereof are due
to manipulation of or modification to the
product by the customer or by any third
parties not authorized by Kavo EWL.

2. Elektro-Anschluß
Prüfen, ob Spannung und Frequenz-
angaben mit den Daten des SF-Umrichters
übereinstimmen.
3. Einbau und Inbetriebnahme von
SF-Motorspindel EWL 4010
3.1 Kühlluftein- und -austritt sind unbe-
dingt freizuhalten.
3.2 Mit der Kühlluft dürfen keinerlei
Fremdkörper oder Schmierstoffe ange-
saugt werden.
3.3 Die SF-Motorspindel EWL 4010 darf
nicht von Kühl-oder Schmiermitteln überflu-
tet werden.
3.4 Beim Einbau der Spindel ist auf voll-
kommen zylindrische Aufnahme zu achten.
3.5 Bitte keinerlei Gewalt anwenden.
3.6 Es kann über die gesamte Mantel-
länge gespannt werden. Jedoch ist zu emp-
fehlen, großflächig und möglichst in der
Spindelmitte zu spannen.
3.7 Auf korrekte Drehrichtung gemäß
Drehrichtungspfeil auf Typenschild ist zu
achten.
3.8 SF-Motorspindel EWL 4010 nur mit
eingespanntem Werkzeug oder Prüfstift
betreiben. Stöße oder Schläge gegen das
eingespannte Werkzeug unbedingt vermei-
den.
Nur mit unwuchtfreien Werkzeugen arbei-
ten.
!
Unfallverhütungs-Vorschriften sind
zu beachten.
Diezulässigen Höchstdrehzahlen,Vorschub
sowie weitere spezifische Vorschriften des
Werkzeugherstel-lers sind zu beachten.
3.9 Der Garantie-Anspruch erlischt,
wenn Defekte oder ihre Folgen darauf beru-
hen können, daß der Kunde oder nicht von
KaVo EWL autorisierte Dritte Eingriffe oder
Veränderungen am Produkt vornehmen.

4. Changing chucks
!
Attention!
Tools and/or chucks must be changed (by
pressing change knob ) only when the
HF-Motorspindle EWL 4010 is at a complete
stand-still. HF-Converter must be made
safe against accidental switching on, for
example by pressing the power switch to
"OFF".
4.1 Inserting the chuck 
4.1.1 Press in the change knob and
insert chuck with tool or test pin  in the
chuck holder. The guide pin in the chuck
holder must line up with the groove in the
chuck(thecorrectpositioncanbe obtained
by turning the chuck ).
4.1.2 Tighten the chuck  by pressing in
the change knob and turning it in the
direction of the arrow with a tool or test pin
inserted.
4.2 Releasing the chuck 
4.2.1 Release the chuck by pressing in
the change knob and turning it in the
direction of the arrow until the chuck 
can be removed in the forward direction.
5. Changing tools
5.1 Open the chuck by pressing in
change knob and turning it in the direction
of the arrow until the test pin or tool can
be removed in the forward direction.
5.2 Insert a new tool into the chuck  as
far as it will go. Tighten the chuck  by
pressing in the change knob and turning
it in the direction of the arrow with a tool or
test pin  inserted.
4. Remplacement de la pince de
serrage
!
Attention!
Changement d'outil ou de pince de serrage
(le montage par pression du bouton de
serrage ) doit être seulement effectué
quand la broche HF EWL 4010 est
complètement arrêtée. Il faut protéger les
convertisseurs HF contre la mise en circuit
involontaire, par exemple en appuyant
l'interrupteur réseau sur la position ARRET.
4.1 Mise en place de la pince de serrage

4.1.1 Presser le bouton de serrage en
enfonçant et faire glisser la pince de serrage
équipée d'un outil ou d'une tige d'essai 
dans le logement pour la pince de serrage.
La goupille de guidage, dans le logement de
la tige de serrage, doit coïncider avec la
rainure de la pince de serrage (en faisant
tourner la pince de serrage , on peut
déterminer la position correcte).
4.1.2 Bloquer en tournant la pince de ser-
rage en pressant le bouton de serrage 
et en tournant dans le sens de la flèche ,
l'outil ou la tiged'essai étant montée.
4.2 Desserrage de la pince de serrage

4.2.1 Enpressant sur le bouton deserrage
etentournantdanslesens de la flèche ,
desserrer la pince de serrage jusqu'àce
que la pince de serrage  puisse être
enlevée en la retirant vers l'avant.
5. Changement d'outil
5.1 Ouvrir la pince de serrage  en
pressant sur le bouton de serrage et en
tournant dans le sens de la flèche , jusqu'à
ce que la tige d'essai ou l'outil puisse être
retirévers l'avant.
5.2 Faire glisser le nouvel outil dans la
pince de serrage jusqu'en butée. Bloquer
en tournant la pince de serrage en
appuyant sur le bouton de serrage  et en
tournant dans le sens de la flèche , l'outil
ou la tige d'essai étant montée.
4. Cambio de las tenazas
!
¡Atención!
Elcambio de la herramienta o de lastenazas
(apretar el botón ) se deberán efectuar
únicamentealestarcompletamentedetenido
el husillo del motor AV EWL 4010. Proteger
los convertidores AV contra la conexión
desintencional, p.ej. llevando el interruptor
de la red a la posición "DESCONECTA-
DO".
4.1 Colocar las tenazas .
4.1.1 Apretar el botón e introducir las
tenazas con la herramienta o la espiga
de verificación en el sujetador de las
tenazas. La espiga de guia en el sujetador
de las tenazas tiene que coincidir con la
ranura de las tenazas (mediante el giro
de las tenazas se podráaveriguar la
posición correcta).
4.1.2 Para dejar amarradas las tenazas
apretar el botón y girar aquéllas en la
dirección de la flecha , teniendo conveni-
entemente puesta la herramienta o la espi-
ga de verificación .
4.2 Aflojar las tenazas .
4.2.1 Para aflojar las tenazas , apretar
el botón y girar aquéllas en dirección
de la flecha hasta que pueda ser sacada
hacia adelante.
5. Cambio de la herramienta
5.1 Abrirlastenazasapretandopara
ello el botón y girando aquéllas en direc-
ción de la flecha hasta que se puedan
sacar hacia adelante ya sea la espiga de
verificación o la herramienta.
5.2 Introducir la herramienta nueva en
las tenazas hasta su tope. Dejar amarra-
das las tenazas apretando para
ello el botón y girando aquéllas en direc-
ción de la flecha , teniendo conveniente-
mente puesta la herramienta o la espiga
de verificación .

4. Spannzangen-Wechsel
!
Achtung!
Werkzeug- bzw. Spannzangen-Wechsel
(Eindrücken von Spannknopf  sind nur bei
völligemStillstandderSF-Motorspindel EWL
4010 vorzunehmen. SF-Umrichter sind ge-
genunbeabsichtigtesEinschalten zusichern,
z.B. Netzschalter in Stellung "AUS" drük-
ken.
4.1 Einsetzen der Spannzange 
4.1.1 Spannknopf eindrücken und
Spannzange mit Werkzeug oder Prüfstift
in Spannzangen-Aufnahme einschieben.
Führungsstift in Spannzangen-Aufnahme
mußmit Nut der Spannzange überein-
stimmen (durch Drehung der Spannzange
kann korrekte Position ermittelt werden).
4.1.2 Spannzange durch Eindrücken
von Spannknopf und Drehung in Pfeil-
richtung mit eingelegtem Werkzeug oder
Prüfstift festdrehen.
4.2 Lösen der Spannzange 
4.2.1 Spannzange durch Eindrücken
von Spannknopfund Drehung in Pfeil-
richtung lösen, bis Spannzange nach
vorn entnommen werden kann.
5. Werkzeugwechsel
5.1 Spannzange durch Eindrücken
von Spannknopf und Drehung in Pfeil-
richtung öffnen, bis Prüfstift bzw. Werk-
zeug nach vorn entnommen werden kann.
5.2 Neues Werkzeug bis Anschlag in
Spannzange einschieben. Spannzange
durch Eindrücken von Spannknopf 
und Drehung in Pfeilrichtung mit einge-
legtem Werkzeug oder Prüfstift fest-
drehen.







6. Maintenance
!
Attention!
On no account clean the HF-Motor-Spindle
EWL 4010 with ultrasound, steam jet,
compressedair,etc.Undernocircumstances
should detergents (like spray purifier, fat
solvents, etc.) get into the inside of the HF-
Motor-Spindle EWL 4010.
6.1 Clean the chuck regularly.
6.1.1 Clean chuck holder and chuck 
with an artist's brush or similar. Apply a light
film of oil to the chuck .
6.1.2 Reinsert the clean chuck with tool
ortest pin in HF-Motor-Spindle EWL 4010
(refer to 4.1 to 4.1.2).

En aucun cas, il faut nettoyer la broche HF
EWL 4010 aux ultrasons, au jet de vapeur, à
l'air compriméou avec des moyens
similaires. En aucun cas, les detergents
(comme p.ex. spray de nettoyage, solvant

6.1 Nettoyer régulièrement la pince de
serrage .
6.1.1 Nettoyer le logement de la pince de
serrage et la pince de serrage  avec un
pinceau ou avec une brosse. Huiler
légèrement le filetage de la pince de serrage
.
6.1.2 Placer la pince de serrage 
nettoyée, equipée de l'outil ou de la tige
d'essai , de nouveau dans la broche HF
EWL 4010 (voir aussi les §4.1 à4.1.2).

6. Mantenimiento

¡Atención!
Bajo ningún concepto se admite que el
husillo del motor AV EWL 4010 se limpie
con ultrasonido, chorro de vapor, aire com-
primido o similares. Los detergentes (como
p.ej. spray de limpieza, disolvente de gra-
sa, etc.) no deben de ningún modo llegar al
interior del husillo del motor AV EWL 4010.
6.1 Limpiar las tenazas  con toda
regularidad.
6.1.1 Limpiar el sujetador de las tenazas
 las tenazas propriamente dichas con
un pincel o cepillo. Aceitar ligeramente la
rosca de las tenazas .
6.1.2 Volver a colocar las tenazas ya
limpias, junto con la herramienta o la espi-
ga de verificación , en el husillo del motor
AV EWL 4010 (ver 4.1 hasta 4.1.2).

nigen.Keinesfalls Reinigungsmittel (wiez.B.
Spray-reiniger, Fettlöser, usw.) ins Innere
der SF-Motorspindel EWL 4010 einbringen.
6.1 Spannzange regelmäßigreinigen.
6.1.1 Spannzangen-Aufnahme und
Spannzange mit Pinsel oder Bürste rei-
nigen. Gewinde der Spannzange leicht
einölen.
6.1.2 GereinigteSpannzange mitWerk-
zeug oder Prüfstift wieder in SF-Motor-
spindel EWL 4010 einsetzen (sh. 4.1 bis
4.1.2 ).
