Vielen Dank, dass Sie sich für einen Helm von KED entschieden
haben. Schutzhelme gehören zu den persönlichen Schutz-
ausrüstungen und tragen dazu bei, Kopfverletzungen zu
verhindern oder zumindest entscheidend zu mindern. Bitte
nehmen Sie sich etwas Zeit für die folgenden Hinweise und die
Einstellung Ihres Helmes. Es dient Ihrer Sicherheit und einem
größtmöglichen Tragekomfort.
Detailinformationen und Illustrationen finden Sie auf den
vorderen Seiten.
1. Allgemeine Informationen
Dieser Fahrradhelm stellt nach dem heutigen Stand der Technik
den bestmöglichen Schutz für den Kopf gegen äußere Beein-
trächtigungen dar. Er kann jedoch niemals die Garantie für den
Ausschluss von Verletzungen sein. Dieser Fahrradhelm erfüllt
die europäische Norm EN 1078. Der Helm entspricht der euro-
päischen Verordnung (EU) 2016/425 und trägt damit das CE-
Zeichen. Im Rahmen dieser Norm werden die Helme auf das
Stoßdämpfungsvermögen, die Wirksamkeit der Trageinrichtung,
sowie der Schutzzonen und das Sichtfeld geprüft.
2. Auswahl der richtigen Helmgröße
Ein Helm kann Sie nur dann schützen, wenn er richtig sitzt.
Messen Sie Ihren Kopfumfang an der breitesten Stelle und wäh-
len Sie dann die passende Größe aus. Die Größenangabe be-
findet sich bei diesem Helm auf einem Etikett im Helminneren.
Der Helm muss sich auf dem Kopf sicher und bequem anfüh-
len. Probieren Sie mehrere Helme, Sie werden bereits die ersten
Unterschiede merken. Schauen Sie in den Spiegel, der Helm
sollte auch zu Ihnen passen.
3. Anpassen des Größen-Verstellsystems
Eine gute Passform ist Voraussetzung für bestmöglichen
Schutz. Deshalb ist der Helm mit einem K-FIT Verstellsystem
ausgestattet. Durch Drehen des Verstellrades kann die Kopf-
ringgröße passend eingestellt werden. Drehen Sie das Rad in
die „-“ - Richtung spannt sich der Kopfring, drehen Sie das Rad
in die „+“- Richtung lockert sich der Kopfring (s. Bild 2.1).
Der Helm ist ebenfalls mit einer Höhenverstellung ausgestattet
(s. Bild 5)

4. Richtige Positionierung
Setzen Sie Ihren Helm immer waagerecht auf den Kopf auf, so
dass Ihre Stirn geschützt, aber Ihre Sicht nicht beeinträchtigt
ist. Ihr Helm sollte auch nicht nach hinten verschoben auf dem
Kopf sitzen (s. Bild 1).
5. Fester Sitz
Die Prüfung eines festen Sitzes erfolgt durch leichtes Kopf-
schütteln mit geönetem Kinnriemen. Dabei darf der Helm sei-
nen Sitz nicht ändern. Eine optimale Passform ist erforderlich,
damit der Helm seine Sicherheitsfunktion zu 100 % erfüllt.
6. Riemeneinstellung
a)
Schließen Sie den Rasterverschluss (s. Bild 3.1). Verschieben Sie
die Gurtstraer (s. Bild 4) so, dass der vordere und der hintere
Riemen unterhalb des Ohrs zusammenlaufen und zentrieren
Sie das Rastersteckschloss unterhalb des Kinns. Falls die
Riemen nicht stra und eng anliegen, müssen Sie die über-
schüssige Länge des Riemens am Steckschloss nachziehen.
Dazu die Verrieglungsplatte am männlichen Teil önen und
die Riemenlänge einstellen (s. Bild 3.2) Wiederholen Sie diesen
Vorgang solange bis das Gurtsystem stra und eng anliegt. Ver-
rieglungsplatte am Steckschloss wieder fest verschließen. Das
Rastersteckschloss darf nicht direkt am Kinn aufliegen.
b)
Der Kinnriemen sollte eng anliegen, es darf aber nicht zu
Behinderungen beim Atmen oder Schlucken kommen.
7. Extras
7.1 Beleuchtung
Das K-FIT Verstellsystem, ist mit einer Blinkleuchte ausgestat-
tet. Durch Drücken (s. Bild 2.1) können Sie das Blinkleuchte
ein- bzw. ausschalten. Es stehen folgende Funktionen zu
Verfügung:
1 x drücken Dauerlicht,
2 x drücken Blinklicht,
3 x drücken Licht aus
Batteriewechsel: Önen Sie mit einem schmalen Schlitz-
Schraubendreher das Gehäuse (s. Bild 6), entnehmen Sie die
Platine und tauschen die Batterie.

8. Pflege, Reinigung und Aufbewahrung
Die Komfortpolsterung kann mit einem feuchten Tuch gereinigt
werden. Als Reinigungsmittel milde Seifenlösung oder stark
verdünntes Fein- Waschmittel verwenden. Komfortpolsterun-
gen und Gurtbänder sind bei Raumtemperatur zu trocknen.
Die Reinigung der Helmschale sollte mit lauwarmem Wasser
und einer milden Seifenlösung vorgenommen werden. Ver-
wenden Sie keine Lösungsmittel, wie z.B. Verdünnung oder
ähnliches.
Durch zu hohe Temperaturen oder starke UV-Bestrahlung kann
Ihr Helm Schäden davontragen. Lagern Sie ihn deshalb nicht
über 60 °C, was beispielsweise bei Sonne auf der Hutablage
eines PKW erreicht werden kann. Legen Sie ihn nicht direkt auf
bzw. an eine Wärmequelle wie einen Ofen. Der Helm sollte ein-
fach an einem trockenen Platz aufbewahrt werden.
Der Helm sollte in regelmäßigen Abständen auf sichtbare
Mängel hin kontrolliert werden. Kleinere Kratzer mindern dabei
nicht die Schutzwirkung Ihres Helmes.
Für die Instandsetzung sind ausschließlich Originalteile zu ver-
wenden. Bitte wenden Sie sich an Ihren Händler.
9. Sicherer Gebrauch
Dieser Helm ist ausschließlich für den Fahrrad- und Rollschuh-
sport geeignet. Für andere Sportarten wie Ski-, Motorrad- und
Mofa fahren ist er nicht geeignet.
Achten Sie vor Antritt der Fahrt auf korrekten Sitz des Helmes.
Das Rastsystem des Kinnriemens muss immer komplett ge-
schlossen sein. Die Gurtbänder müssen stra anliegen. Bitte
überprüfen Sie dies gegebenenfalls auch bei begleitenden
Kindern.
Den Helm nicht bemalen, bekleben oder lackieren! In Farben,
Klebern und Lacken können Bestandteile enthalten sein,
welche die Stabilität des Helmes und damit die Schutzwirkung
negativ beeinflussen.
Keine Veränderungen an der Helmschale vornehmen! Niemals
anbohren oder Gegenstände anschrauben.
Infolge eines Sturzes bzw. eines stärkeren Aufpralls kann die
Schutzwirkung der Helmschale stark beeinträchtigt werden,
selbst wenn äußerlich keine Beschädigung zu erkennen ist.
Wechseln Sie einen Helm deshalb danach unbedingt aus und
verwenden Sie nie einen Helm, der in einen Unfall verwickelt
war!

Ein Helm Sollte je nach Intensität der Nutzung, nach 3 – 5
Jahren Gebrauch ausgetauscht werden. Die maximale Lebens-
dauer ohne Nutzung beträgt 8 Jahre nach Herstellungsdatum,
welches im Helm gekennzeichnet ist.
SIE MÜSSEN NICHT SCHNELL FAHREN, UM SICH ZU
VERLETZEN!
Der Schutz, den ein Helm gibt, hängt von den Umständen des
Unfalls ab, wobei das Tragen eines Schutzhelmes nicht immer
einen tödlichen Unfall, oder längere Invalidität verhindert.
BENUTZEN SIE IMMER EINEN HELM BEIM RADSPORT UND
FAHREN SIE VORSICHTIG! DER HELM KANN NUR SCHÜTZEN,
WAS ER BEDECKT!
Tragen Sie Ihren Helm immer in der richtigen Position. Kein
Helm kann den Hals oder unbedeckte Stellen des Kopfes
schützen.

10. Entsorgung
Entsorgen Sie die Verpackung sortenrein.
Geben Sie Pappe und Karton zum Altpapier,
Folien in die Wertstosammlung.
Altgeräte dürfen nicht in den Hausmüll!
Sollte das Produkt einmal nicht mehr benutzt werden
können, so ist jeder Verbraucher gesetzlich verpflich-
tet, Altgeräte getrennt vom Hausmüll, z.B. bei einer
Sammelstelle seiner Gemeinde/seines Stadtteils, abzu-
geben. Damit wird gewährleistet, dass Altgeräte fachge-
recht verwertet und negative Auswirkungen auf die Um-
welt vermieden werden. Deswegen sind Elektrogeräte
mit dem hier abgebildeten Symbol gekennzeichnet.
Batterien und Akkus dürfen nicht in den Hausmüll!
Als Verbraucher sind Sie gesetzlich verpflichtet, alle
Batterien und Akkus, egal ob sie Schadstoe* enthalten
oder nicht, bei einer Sammelstelle in ihrer Gemeinde/
ihrem Stadtteil oder im Handel abzugeben, damit
sie einer umweltschonenden Entsorgung zugeführt
werden können.

11. Garantie
Sie erhalten zwei Jahre Garantie auf Material und Herstellung.
Die Garantie erstreckt sich NICHT auf normalen Verschleiß
oder Abnutzung oder Veränderungen am Produkt durch den
Kunden oder Schäden, die durch Unfälle oder unsachgemäßem
Gebrauch entstanden sind. Zur Prüfung der Gültigkeit von Ga-
rantieansprüchen ist der original Kaufbeleg mit Händlerstempel
und Kaufdatum erforderlich.

Thank you for choosing a KED helmet. Protective helmets are
personal protective equipment and help prevent head injuries
or at least significantly reduce them. Please take some time to
read the following information and adjust your helmet. It will
benefit your safety and ensure the highest level of comfort.
Detailed information and illustrations can be found on the
front pages.
1. General Information
This bike helmet represents the best possible protection for
the head against external damage and meets the latest techno-
logical standards. However, no guarantee can be provided for
the total prevention of injuries. This bike helmet complies with
the European standard EN 1078.
The helmet complies with the European Regulation (EU)
2016/425 and therefore bears the CE mark. As part of this
standard, the helmets are tested for shock absorption, the
eectiveness of the retention system, as well as the protection
zones and the field of vision.
2. Selecting the right helmet size
A helmet can only protect the wearer if it fits properly. Measure
your head circumference at the widest point and then select
the appropriate size. The dimensions can be found on a label
inside the helmet.
The helmet must feel secure and comfortable on the head.
Try several helmets and you will notice some dierences right
away. Take a look in the mirror too; the helmet should suit you.
3. Adapting the size adjustment system
A good fit is a prerequisite for the the best possible protection.
This is why this helmet is equipped with a K-FIT adjustment
system. By turning the adjustment wheel you can set the head
ring to suit you. Turning the wheel in the ‘-’ direction tightens
the head ring, turning the wheel in the ‘+’ direction loosens the
head ring (see illustration 2.1). The helmet is also equipped with
a height adjustment function (see illustration 5).
4. Correct positioning
Always put your helmet on your head horizontally so that
your forehead is protected but your view is not impaired. Your
helmet should also not sit pushed backwards over the head
(see illustration 1).

5. Firm fit
You can check that your helmet is sitting firmly by lightly shak-
ing your head while the chinstrap is undone. The helmet should
not move about. An optimal fit is necessary for the helmet to
fully achieve its safety function.
6. Adjusting the chinstrap
a)
Close the snap-in clip (see illustration 3.1). Slide the strap
tensioner (see illustration 4) so that the front and rear strap
come together below the ear, and centre the snap lock below
the chin. If the straps are not tight and closely fitted, you will
need to re-tighten the excess length of the strap using the snap
lock. To do so, open the locking plate on the male part and
adjust the strap length (see illustration 3.2) Repeat this process
until the strap system is tight and closely fitted. Firmly lock the
locking plate again at the snap lock. The snap lock must not lie
directly on the chin.
b)
The chinstrap should fit tightly but not impair your ability to
breathe or swallow.
7. Extras
7.1 Light
The K-FIT adjustment system is equipped with a flashing light.
You can turn the flashing light on and o by pressing it (see
illustration 2.1). The following functions are available:
Press once for a continuous light,
press twice for a flashing light,
press three times to turn o the light.
Changing the battery: use a slender Philips screwdriver to open
the compartment (see illustration 6), remove the circuit board
and replace the battery).
8. Care, cleaning and storage
The comfort padding can be cleaned using a damp cloth. Use
a mild soap solution or heavily diluted delicate detergent as
the cleaning agent. The comfort padding and straps should be
dried at room temperature.
The helmet shell should be cleaned using lukewarm water and
a mild soap solution. Do not use any solvents, e.g. thinner or
similar.

Excessive temperatures or strong UV radiation can damage
your helmet. You should therefore not store your helmet above
60°C; a temperature which can be reached on the rear shelf of
a car for example. Do not place it directly onto or near a heat
source such as an oven. The helmet should simply be stored in
a dry place.
The helmet should be checked for visible defects at regular
intervals. Small scratches do not aect the protective eect
of your helmet.
Only use original parts for repairs. Please contact your retailer.
9. Safe use
This helmet is only suitable for cycling and roller skating.
It is not suitable for other sports such as skiing or driving mo-
torcycles and mopeds.
Before starting your trip, ensure the helmet is sitting properly
on your head. The latch system of the chinstrap must always
be fully closed. The straps must be tight. Please also check the
same for any children accompanying you.
The helmet must not be painted, varnished or adorned with
stickers! Paints, varnishes or stickers may contain components
that adversely aect the stability of the helmet and its protec-
tive eectiveness.
Do not make any changes to the helmet shell! Never drill into it
or screw objects into it.
In the event of a fall or a stronger impact, the protective eect
of the helmet shell can be severely impaired, even if no external
damage can be seen. You must therefore replace a helmet after
an accident and never use it again!
Depending on the intensity of use, a helmet should be replaced
after 3 to 5 years. The maximum service life without being
used is 8 years starting from the date of manufacture, which is
indicated in the helmet.
Please travel safely when wearing the helmet and do not
undertake any unnecessary risks.
DO NOT TRAVEL FAST – YOU MAY INJURE YOURSELF!
The protection oered by a helmet depends on the circum-
stances of the accident; wearing a protective helmet cannot
always prevent a fatal accident or prolonged disablement.

Always wear the helmet in the correct position. No helmet can
protect the neck or uncovered areas of the head.

HELMETS MUST NOT BE WORN BY CHILDREN DURING
CLIMBING OR OTHER ACTIVITIES IN WHICH THERE IS A
RISK OF STRANGULATION.

10. Disposal
Dispose of the packaging according to the respective
material. Dispose of cardboard and cardboard as waste
paper and plastic sheets in the recycling bin.
Do not dispose of used products as household waste!
If the product can no longer be used, the consumer
is required by law to separate the used product from
household waste and take it to a community/district
collection point. This ensures that the used product
is recycled properly, preventing negative eects on
the environment. This is why electrical equipment is
labelled with the symbol shown here.
Do not dispose of batteries and rechargeable batteries
as household waste!
As a consumer, you are required by law to take all bat-
teries and rechargeable batteries, regardless of whether
they contain hazardous materials*, to a community/
district collection point or a store for environmental-
ly-friendly disposal.

11. Warranty
You receive a two-year warranty for material and manufactur-
ing defects. The warranty does NOT cover regular wear and
tear, changes to the product made by the customer, or damage
caused by accidents or improper use. The original sales receipt
with the retailer’s stamp and date of sale is required to verify
the validity of warranty claims.

font partie des équipements de protection individuelle et
contribuent à prévenir ou du moins à réduire considérablement
les blessures à la tête. Veuillez prendre le temps de lire les
instructions suivantes et de régler votre casque. Il est destiné
à garantir votre sécurité et vous apporte le meilleur confort
possible.

1. Informations générales
Ce casque de vélo répond aux standards techniques actuels et
représente la meilleure protection possible pour la tête contre
les risques extérieurs. Cependant, il ne garantit en aucun cas
l‘exclusion des blessures.
Ce casque de vélo est conforme à la norme européenne EN
1078 et au règlement européen (UE) 2016/425, et porte donc
la marque CE. Dans le cadre de cette norme, les casques sont
testés pour leur capacité d‘absorption des chocs, l‘ecacité
du dispositif de port et des zones de protection, ainsi que leur
champ de vision.
2. Sélection de la taille de casque adaptée
Pour une protection correcte, votre casque doit bien vous tenir.
Mesurez la circonférence de votre tête au point le plus large,
puis sélectionnez la taille appropriée. La taille du casque est
indiquée sur une étiquette située à l‘intérieur.
Le casque doit se poser de manière sûre et confortable sur la
tête. Essayez plusieurs casques et remarquez tout de suite les
premières diérences. Regardez-vous dans un miroir, car le
casque doit également vous convenir.
3. Adaptation du système de réglage de la taille
Une protection optimale passe nécessairement par un ajuste-
ment correct. C‘est pourquoi le caque est équipé d‘un système
de réglage K-FIT. Tournez la molette de réglage pour ajuster
la taille de l‘anneau de tête. Tournez la molette dans le sens
« - » pour serrer l‘anneau de tête, et dans le sens « + » pour le
desserrer (voir image 2.1). Le casque est également équipé d‘un
système de réglage de la hauteur (voir image 5).
4. Positionnement correct
Placez toujours votre casque à l‘horizontale sur votre tête afin

de protéger votre front sans toutefois nuire à votre vision.
Évitez de poser votre casque de sorte qu‘il soit légèrement
rentré vers l‘arrière (voir image 1).
5. Bonne tenue
Pour vérifier la bonne tenue du casque, secouez légèrement la
tête, mentonnière ouverte. Le casque ne devrait pas changer
de position. Un ajustement optimal est nécessaire, afin que le
casque remplisse à 100 % sa fonction de protection.
6. Réglage des sangles
a)
Fermez le verrou (voir image 3.1). Déplacez les tendeurs de
courroie (voir image 4) de sorte que les sangles avant et arrière
convergent sous l‘oreille et centrez la boucle à cliquet sous
le menton. Si les sangles ne sont pas serrées et bien ajustées,
vous devrez resserrer la longueur superflue de la sangle sur la
boucle. Pour ce faire, ouvrez la plaque de verrouillage sur la
partie mâle et ajustez la longueur de la sangle (voir image 3.2).
Répétez ce processus jusqu‘à ce que le système de courroie
soit serré et bien ajusté. Refermez la plaque de verrouillage sur
la boucle. La boucle à cliquet ne doit pas se situer directement
sous le menton.
b)
La mentonnière doit être serrée, mais ne doit en aucun cas
vous empêcher de respirer ou d‘avaler.
7. Extras
7.1 Éclairage
Le système de réglage K-FIT est équipé d‘un voyant lumineux.
Appuyez sur le voyant (voir image 2.1) pour l‘activer ou le dé-
sactiver. Les fonctions suivantes sont disponibles :
1 pression : continu ;
2 pressions : clignotant ;
3 pressions : extinction.
Remplacement de la pile : Ouvrez le boîtier à l‘aide d‘un petit
tournevis à fente (voir image 6), retirez la carte de circuit impri-
mé et remplacez la pile.
8. Entretien, nettoyage et stockage
Le coussin de confort peut être nettoyé avec un chion hu-

mide. Utilisez une solution savonneuse douce ou un détergent
doux fortement dilué comme produit de nettoyage. Les cous-
sins de confort et les sangles doivent être séchés à température
ambiante.
La coque du casque doit être nettoyée avec de l‘eau tiède et
une solution savonneuse douce. N‘utilisez pas de solvants tels
que des diluants ou autres produits similaires.
Des températures excessives ou un fort rayonnement UV
peuvent endommager votre casque. Par conséquent, ne le
stockez pas à une température supérieure à 60 °C, température
qui peut être atteinte, par exemple, au soleil sur la plage arrière
d‘une voiture. Ne le placez pas directement sur ou près d‘une
source de chaleur telle qu‘un four. Le casque doit simplement
être stocké dans un endroit sec.
Contrôlez le casque à des intervalles réguliers pour détecter
les défauts visibles. Les petites éraflures ne réduisent pas la
fonction de protection de votre casque.
Seules les pièces d‘origine doivent être utilisées pour la répara-
tion. Veuillez contacter votre revendeur.
9. Utilisation sûre
Ce casque est uniquement adapté pour les vélos et les patins à
roulettes. Il n‘est pas adapté à d‘autres sports tels que le ski, les
motos et les cyclomoteurs.
Assurez-vous que le casque est bien ajusté avant de commen-
cer à rouler. Le système de verrouillage de la mentonnière doit
toujours être complètement fermé. Les sangles doivent être
serrées. Veuillez également vérifier ces points chez les enfants
qui vous accompagnent, le cas échéant.
Évitez de peindre, de coller ou de vernir le casque ! Les pein-
tures, les adhésifs et les vernis peuvent contenir des compo-
sants qui ont un eet négatif sur la stabilité du casque et donc
sur sa fonction de protection.
N‘apportez aucune modification au casque ! Évitez de le percer
ou de visser des objets dessus.
À la suite d‘une chute ou d‘un choc violent, la fonction de
protection de la coque du casque peut être gravement
compromise, même si aucun dommage externe n‘est visible.
Par conséquent, veillez à remplacer un casque dans ce cas et
n‘utilisez jamais un casque qui a déjà subi un accident !
Un casque doit être remplacé après 3 à 5 ans, selon l‘intensité
de l‘utilisation.
