3. SAFETY RULES
1. To reduce the risk of electric shock, insure
electricity has been turned off at the circuit
breaker or fuse box before beginning.
2. All wiring must be in accordance with the
National Electrical Code and local
electrical codes. Electrical installation
should be performed by a qualified
licensed electrician.
3. WARNING: To reduce the risk of personal
injury, use only the two steel screws (and
lock washers) provided with the outlet box
for mounting to the outlet box. Most outlet
boxes commonly used for the support of
lighting fixtures are not acceptable for fan
support and may need to be replaced,
consult a qualified electrician if in doubt.
4. The outlet box and support structure must
be securely mounted and capable of
reliably supporting a minimum of 35
pounds. Use only CUL Listed outlet boxes
marked "FOR FAN SUPPORT".
5. The fan must be mounted with a minimum
of 7 feet clearance from the trailing edge of
the blades to the floor.
6. Do not operate reversing switch while fan
blades are in motion. Fan must be turned
off and blades stopped before reversing
blade direction.
7. Avoid placing objects in the path of the
blades.

8. To avoid personal injury or damage to the
fan and other items, be cautious when
working around or cleaning the fan.
9. Do not use water or detergents when
cleaning the fan or fan blades. A dry dust
cloth or lightly dampened cloth will be
suitable for most cleaning.
10. After marking electrical connections,
spliced conductors should be turned
upward and pushed carefully up into
outlet box. The wires should be spread
apart with the grounded conductor and
the equipment - grounding conductor on
one side of the outlet box.
11. Electrical diagrams are reference only.
Light kit that are not packed with the fan
must be CUL Listed and marked suitable
for use with the model fan you are
installing. Switches must be CUL General
Use Switches. Refer to the Instructions
packaged with the light kits and switches
for proper assembly.

4. MOUNTING OPTIONS
If there isn't an existing CUL listed mounting
box, then read the following instructions.
Disconnect the power by removing fuses or
turning off circuit breakers.
Secure the outlet box directly to the building
structure. Use appropriate fasteners and
building materials. The outlet box and its
support must be able to fully support the
moving weight of the fan (at least 35 lbs). Do
not use plastic outlet boxes.
Figures 1,2 and 3 are examples of different
ways to mount the outlet box.
Note: You may need a longer downrod to
maintain proper blade clearance when
installing on a steep, sloped ceiling. (Fig. 3)
To hang your fan where there is an existing
fixture but no ceiling joist, you may need an
installation hanger bar as shown in Figure 4.

5. HANGING THE FAN

REMEMBER to turn off the power. Follow the
steps below to hang your fan properly:
Step 1. Pass the 120-volt supply wires through
the center hole in the ceiling hanger bracket as
shown in Fig. 5.
Step 2. Secure the hanger bracket to the
ceiling outlet box with the screws and washers
provided with your outlet box.
Step 3. Remove the hanger pin, locking pin
from downrod and remove the set screws from
the top of the motor assembly.
Step 4. Route wires exiting from the top of the
fan motor through the couping cover, canopy
cover and canopy, then through the ball/
downrod. (Fig. 6)
Step 5. Align the holes at the bottom of the
downrod with the holes in the collar on top of
the motor housing (Fig.6). Carefully insert the
hanger pin through the holes in the collar and
downrod. Be careful not to jam the pin against
the wiring inside the downrod. Insert the
locking pin through the hole near the end of
the hanger pin until it snaps into its locked
position, as noted in the circle inset of Fig. 6.
Step 6. Tighten two set screws on top of the
fan motor firmly. (Fig. 6)

Step 7. Place the downrod ball into the hanger
bracket socket. And rotate until groove in
hanger ball lines up with tab in hanger bracket.
(You will feel hanger ball drop into place as
you rotate.) (Fig. 7)

6. MAKE THE ELECTRIC
CONNECTIONS
WARNING: To avoid possible electrical
shock, be sure electricity is turned off at the
main fuse box before wiring.
NOTE: This remote control unit is equipped
with 16 code combinations to prevent possible
interference from or to other remote units.
The frequency switches on your receiver and
transmitter have been preset at the factory.
Please recheck to make sure the switches on
transmitter and receiver are set to the same
position, any combination of settings will
operate the fan as long as the transmitter and
receiver are set to the same position. (Figure
8)
Step 1. (Fig. 9) Insert the receiver into the
mounting bracket with the flat side of the
receiver facing the ceiling.
Step 3. (Fig. 10) Receiver to House Supply
Wires Electrical Connections: Connect the
black (hot) wire from the ceiling to the black
wire marked "AC in L" from the receiver.
Connect the white (neutral) wire from the
ceiling to the white wire marked "AC in N" from
the Receiver. Secure the wire connections
with the plastic wire nuts provided.

Step 4. (Figure 10) If your outlet box has a ground
wire (green or bare copper) connect it to the fan
ground wires; otherwise, connect the hanging
bracket ground wire to the hanger ball ground
wire. Secure the wire connection with a plastic
nut provided. After connecting the wires, spread
them apart so that the green and white wires are
on one side of the outlet box and black and blue
wires are on the other side. Carefully tuck the
wire connections up into the outlet box.
Step 2. (Fig. 10) Motor to Receiver Electrical
Connections: Connect the Black wire from the fan to
Black wire marked "TO MOTOR L" from the receiver.
Connect the White wire from the fan to the White wire
marked "TO MOTOR N" from the receiver. Connect
the Blue wire from the fan to the Blue wire marked
"For Light" from the receiver. Secure wire connec-
tions with the plastic wire nuts provided.

Note: Fan must be installed at a maximum
distance of 20 feet from the transmitting unit
for proper signal transmission between the
transmitting unit and the fan's receiving unit.

8. FINISHING THE
INSTALLATION
Step 1. Tuck connections neatly into ceiling
outlet box.
Step 2. Slide the canopy up to hanger bracket
and place the key hole on the canopy over the
screw on the hanger bracket, turn canopy until
it locks in place at the narrow section of the
key holes. (Fig.12)
Step 3. Align the circular hole on canopy with
the remaining hole on the hanger bracket,
secure by tightening the two set screws. Note:
Adjust the canopy screws as necessary until
the canopy and canopy cover are snug.
WARNING: Make sure tab at bottom of
hanger bracket is properly seated in groove of
hanger ball before attaching canopy to
bracket. Failure to properly seat tab in groove
could cause damage to electrical wiring.

An additional safety cable is provided to prevent
the fan from falling. Secure the safety cable to
the ceiling joist with screw and washer, as
illustrated in Figure 11.

9. ATTACHING THE FAN

CAUTION: Make sure all screws are
tightened securely.
Step 1. Remove all the blade cover screws and
fiber washers from the blade cover. Attach the
blade covers to the blade by using blade cover
screws and fiber washers as shown in Figure 13.
Step 2. Attach the fan blades to the blade holders
by using blade screws and fiber washers as
shown in Figure 14.
Step 3. Remove all the screws on the metal ring,
discarded the metal ring and the screws.
Step 4. Attach the blade assembly to the fan
motor assembly by tightening the four blade
holder screws previously the package hardware.

10. INSTALLATING THE
MOUNTING PLATE
Step 1. Remove 1 of 3 screws from the
mounting ring and loosen the other 2 screws.
(Do not remove)
Step 2. Place the key holes on the mounting
plate over the 2 screws previously loosened
from the mounting ring, turn mounting plate
until it locks in place at the narrow section of
the key holes. Secure by tightening the 2
screws previously loosened and the one
screw previously removed. (Fig. 17)

11. ATTACHING THE 17W
LED ASSEMBLY
NOTE: Before starting installation, disconnect
the power by turning off the circuit breaker or
removing the fuse at fuse box. Turning power
off using the fan switch is not sufficient to
prevent electric shock.

12. ATTACHING THE
GLASS SHADE
Install the glass shade by carefully turning
it clockwise until snug. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN.

Step 1. Remove 1 of 3 screws from the
mounting plate and loosen the other 2 screws
(Do not remove). (Fig 18)
Step 2. While holding the 17W LED assembly
under your fan, firmly snap the wire connection
plugs together.
Step 3. Place key holes on the light kit plate
over the 2 screws previously loosened from
the mounting plate, turn light kit plate until it
locks in place at the narrow setion of the key
holes.Secure by tightening 2 screws
previously loosened and the one previously
removed. (Fig 18)

13. INSTALLING THE
TRANSMITTER
HOLDER
Attach the remote control holder with the two
remote control holder mounting screws.
(Fig. 20)
14. INSTALLING THE
BATTERY
Install the 12volt battery into the hand held
transmitter (Figure 21) as shown in (Figure 22).
Make sure the battery is secure with the matching
+/- terminals.
15. OPERATING YOUR
TRANSMITTER
Restore power to ceiling fan and test for
proper operation.
A. HI, MED and LOW buttons:
These three buttons are used to set the
fan speed as follows:
= high speed
= medium speed
= low speed
HI
MED
LOW
B. FAN OFF button:
This button turns the fan off.
C. LIGHT button:
This button controls the light. Press and
release the button to turn the light ON or
OFF. Press and hold the button to set the
desired brightness. The light key has an
auto-resume, it will stay at the same
brightness as the last time it was turned off.

The Reverse switch is located on the top
housing. Slide the switch to the Left for warm
weather operation. Slide the switch to the
Right for cool weather operation.
Speed settings for warm or cool weather
depend on factors such as the room size.
Ceiling height, number of fans and so on.
NOTE:To operate the reverse function on this
fan, press the reverse button while the fan is
off.
Warm weather - (Forward) A downward airflow
creates a cooling effect as shown in Fig. 23.
This allows you to set your air conditioner on a
warmer setting without affecting your comfort.
Cool weather - (Reverse) An upward airflow
moves warm air off the ceiling area as shown
in Fig. 24. This allows you to set your heating
unit on a cooler setting without affecting your
comfort.
16. CARE OF YOUR FAN
Here are some suggestions to help you maintain your fan.
1. Because of the fan's natural movement, some connections may become loose. Check the
support connections, brackets, and blade attachments twice a year. Make sure they are
secure. (It is not necessary to remove fan from ceiling.)
2. Clean your fan periodically to help maintain its new appearance over the years. Use only a
soft brush or lint-free cloth to avoid scratching the finish. The plating is sealed with a lacquer
to minimize discoloration or tarnishing. Do not use water when cleaning. This could damage
the motor, or the wood, or possibly cause an electrical shock.
3. You can apply a light coat of furniture polish to the wood blades for additional protection and
enhanced beauty. Cover small scratches with a light application of shoe polish.
4. There is no need to oil your fan. The motor has permanently lubricated sealed ball bearings.

17. TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem
Fan will not start.
Fan sounds noisy.
Remote control
malfunction.
Lights shut off and will
not come back on.
Fan wobble.
Solution
1. Check main and branch circuit fuses or breakers.
2. Check line wire connections to the fan and switch wire connections in the
switch housing.
3. Check to make sure the dip switches from the transmitter and receiver are
set to the same frequency.
1. Make sure all motor housing screws are snug.
2. Make sure the screws that attach the fan blade bracket to the motor hub are
tight.
3. Make sure wire nut connections are not rattling against each other or the
interior wall of the switch housing.
4. Allow a 24-hour "breaking-in" period. Most noises associated with a new fan
disappear during this time.
5. If using ceiling fan light kit, make sure the screws securing the glassware
are tight. Check that the light bulb is also secure.
6. Make sure there is a short distance from the ceiling to the canopy. It should
not touch the ceiling.
7. Make sure your ceiling box is secure and rubber isolator pads are used
between mounting bracket and outlet box.
1. Do not connect the fan with a wall mounted variable speed control(s).
2. Make sure the dip switches are set correctly.
1. This unit may be equipped with a wattage limiting device. Lamping in
excess of 190 watts will disable your ceiling fan's light kit. To reset your light
kit you must turn the power off and relamp, keeping the wattage under 190
watts. Restore power to your ceiling fan and continue normal operation.
1. Check that all blade and blade arm screws are secure.
2. Most fan wobbling problems are caused when blade levels are unequal.
Check this level by selecting a point on the ceiling above the tip of one of
the blades. Measure this distance. Rotate the fan until the next blade is
positioned for measurement. Repeat for each blade. The distance deviation
should be equal within 1/8".
3. Use the enclosed Blade Balancing Kit if the blade wobble is still noticeable.
4. If the blade wobble is still noticeable, interchanging two adjacent (side by
side) blades can redistribute the weight and possibly result in smoother
operation.

OR CLEANING THE FAN. DO NOT INSERT FOREIGN OBJECTS

1. Pour rèduire les risques de décharge
électrique, s'assurer que l'électricité est
coupée au disjoncteur ou au boîtier de
fusibles avant de commencer.
2. Tous les cablages doivent se conformer au
Code National d’électricité et aux normes
électriques locales. L'installation électrique
doit être effectuée par un électricien licencié
qualifié.
3. AVERTISSEMENT:Afin de réduire les
risques de blessure, utiliser seulement les
deux vis en ventilateur (et leurs rondelles de
verrouillage) fournies avec le ventilateur
pour le montage sur le boîtier de prise. La
plupart des prises utilisées pour le support
d'éclairage ne conviennent pas pour les
ventilateurs et peuvent devoir être
remplacées.Consultez un electricien
qualifié si vous avez des doutes.
4. Le boîtier de prise et son support doivent être
attachés correctement et capables de
supporter fiablement un poids minimum de
23 kg (50 livres). Utiliser seulement les
boîtiers de prise homologués par l'CUL et
portant l'étiquette "POUR LE SUPPORT DE
VENTILATEUR".
5. Le ventilateur doit être monté à une hauteur
minimum de 2.1m (7 pieds) entre le bord de
fuite des ailettes et le sol.
6. Ne pas faire fonctionner le commutateur de
rotation inverse lorsque les ailettes du
ventilateur sont en mouvement. Le
ventilateur doit être mis hors tension et les
ailettes doivent être arrêtées avant d'inverser
le sens de rotation des ailettes.
7. Éviter de placer des objets en travers des
pales.
3. RÈGLES DE SÉCURITÉ
AVERTISSEMENT

UN BOÎTIER DE PRISE AVEC UN ÉTIQUETTE

UN VENTILATEUR.
8. Pour éviter les blessures ou les dommages
du ventilateur et autres articles, faire
attention en travaillant sur le ventilateur ou
en le nettoyant.
9. Ne pas utilliser d'eau ou de détergent pour
nettoyer le ventilateur ou ses pales.Un
chiffon de poussiére sec ou lègérement
humide suffit pour la plupart des
nettoyages.
10. Après le branchement électrique, les
épissures de conducteurs doivent être
orientées vers le haut et poussées
soigneusement dans le boîtier de prise. Les
fils doivent être éloignés les uns des autres,
et le conducteur mis à la terre et le
conducteur de mise à la terre de l'appareil
doivent être placés sur un coté du boîtier de
prise.
11. Les diagrammes électriques sont fournis
uniquement à titre de réfèrence. Les kits de
lampe qui ne sont pas emballés avec le
ventilateur doivent êtré homologués par
l'CUL et doivent porter une étiquette
indiquant leur capacite d'utilisation avec le
modéle de ventilateur que vous installez.
Les commutateurs doivent être des
commutateurs homologués pour l'utilisation
générale par l'CUL.

4. OPTIONS DE MONTAGE
S'il n'y a pas de boîte de connexion, alors,
lisez les instructions suivante. Coupez
l'alimentation en retirant les fusibles ou en
coupant le disjoncteur.
Fixez la boîte de connexion directement sur la
structure du bâtiment. Utilisez les matériels
de fixation et matériaux appropriés. La boîte
de connexion et son support doivent pouvoir
supporter le poids du ventilateur en rotation
(au moins 35 lbs. - 17.6kg). Utilisez une boîte
en métal aux normes CUL. N'utilisez pas de
boîte de connexion en plastique.
Les schéma 1, 2 et 3 sont des exemples des
differentes facons de monter la boîte de
connexion.
Remarque: Vous aurez peut-être besoin
d'une colonne plus longue pour maintenir un
dégagement correct pour les pales, lorsque
vous installez le ventilateur sur un plafond en
pente. (Schéma 3)
Pour suspendre le ventilateur à un endroit oú
il existe déjà une lampe mais pas de poutrelle
de plafond, un barreau de suspension peut
être nécessaire. (Schéma 4)

5. INSTALLATION DU
VENTILATEUR DE
PLAFOND
N'OUBLIEZ PASde couper le courant.Veuillez
suivre les étapes ci-dessous pour installer votre
ventilateur correctement:
Étape 1. Faire passer les fils d'alimentation
120-volts à travers le trou central du support
d'accrochage tel que démontré dans le schéma 5.
Étape 2. Fixer le support d'accrochage à la boîte à
prises du plafond à l'aide des vis et rondelles
fournies avec votre ventilateur.
Étape 3. Retirez la goupille de suspension, la
goupille de verrouillage de la tige de suspension
et retirez les vis de fixation du sommet de
l'assemblage du moteur.
Étape 4. Faire passer les fils sortant du dessus du
moteur de ventilateur à travers le couvercle du
collet, le cache base couvercle, le cache de
plafond et ensuite à travers la boule/tige de
suspension. (Voir schéma 6)
Étape 5. Aligner les trous à la base de la tige de
suspension avec les trous dans le collet sur le
dessus du boîtier du moteur (voir schéma 6).
Insérer avec prudence la tige d'accrochage à
travers les trous situés dans le collet et dans la
tige de suspension. Soyez prudent de ne pas
coincer la tige contre le câblage électrique situé à
l'intérieur de la tige de suspension. Insérer la tige
de blocage dans le trou près du bout de la tige
d'accrochage jusqu'à ce qu'elle s'enclenche en
place d'un petit coup sec, tel que démontré dans
l'encart circulaire de la schéma 6.
Étape 6. Serrer bien fermement les deux vis
d'ajustement situées sur le dessus du moteur du
ventilateur (Schéma 6).
Étape 7. Placer la boule de la tige de suspension
dans la cavité du support d'accrochage. Et tournez
jusqu'à ce que la rainure dans la balle de suspension
s'aligne sur le tab dans le support de suspension.

6. RACCORDEMENTS
ELECTRIQUES
AVERTISSEMENT: Pour éviter tout risque
d'électrocution, assurez-vous que le courant a
été coupé sur le tableau électrique principal
avant de procéder au câblage.
REMARQUE: Cette télécommande est
équipée de 16 combinaisons de codes pour
éviter toute interférence avec d'autres
télécommandes. Les commutateurs de
fréquence situés sur votre récepteur et
émetteur ont été préréglés en usine. Verifiez
pour vous assurer que les interrupteurs sur
l'émetteur et le récepteur sont paramétrés sur
la même position, toute combinaison de
paramétres fera fonctionner le ventilateur à
condition que l'émetteur et le récepteur soient
sur la même position. (Schéma 8)
Étape 1: (Schéma 9) Insérez l'appareil
récepteur dans l'attache de suspension, côté
plat du récepteur face au plafond.
Étape 2: (Schéma 10) Connexions électriques
du moteur au récepteur: Connectez le fil Noir
du ventilateur au fil Noir marqué "TO MOTOR
L". Connectez le fil Blanc du ventilateur au fil
Blanc marqué "TO MOTOR N" du récepteur.
Connectez le fil Bleu du ventilateur au fil Bleu
marqué "For Light" du récepteur. Serrez les
raccordements des fils avec les écrous en
plastiques fournis.
Étape 3: (Schéma 10) Récepteur aux
raccordements électriques des fils de la
maison; branchez le fil noir (Hot) du boîtier de
sortie au fil noir du récepteur identifié "AC in
L". Branchez le fil blanc (neutral) du boîtier de
sortie au fil blanc du récepteur identifié "AC in
N". Fixez tous les branchements à l'aide des
marettes fournies.
Étape 4: (Schéma 10) Si votre boîtier de sortie
possède un fil de mise à la masse (fil vert ou
cuivre nu) raccordez-y le fil de mise à la
masse de la barre de suspension et de
l'attache de suspension du ventilateur; sinon
branchez le fil de mise à la masse de la barre
de suspension et de l'attache de suspension

Remarque: Le ventilateur doit être installé à
une distance maximum de 6 mètres (20 pi) de
l'appareil transmetteur pour une transmission
du signal adéquate entre l'appareil émetteur
et le récepteur du ventilateur.
7. INSTALLATION DU
CÂBLE DE SÉCURITÉ
Un câble de sécurité complementaire est
offert pour éviter toute chute du ventilateur.
Posez la boucle du cable de sûreté sur la vis à
bois et la rondelle plate que vous n'avez pas
serrées au préalable. Serrez la vis ci-dessus
pour fixer le cable de sûreté en place.

8. TERMINER
L'INSTALLATION
Étape 1. Arrangez les connexions à l'interieur
de la boîte de câblage.
Étape 2. Faites glisser la cache de plafond sur
le crochet de suspension et placez les trous
sur la cache de plafond au-dessus des vis sur
le crochet de suspension. Tournez la cache
de plafond jusqu'à ce qu'il se verrouille en
place à la section étroite des trous de vis.

Étape 3. Alignez le trou circulaire sur la cache
de plafond avec le trou restant sur le crochet
de suspension, puis fixez-le en serrant les
deux vis de pression. Note: Ajustez les vis du
cache de plafond si nécessaire afin que le
cache de plafond et le cache base couvercle
soient bien fixés.
AVERTISSEMENT: S'assurer que la
languette au bas du bras d'accrochage soit
positionnée correctement dans le socle de la
boule d'accrochage avant de relier le
baldaquin au bras. Ne pas respecter cette
procédure risque d'endommager
sérieusement le circuit électrique.

9. FIXATION DES PALES
DU VENTILATEUR

Étape 1, Retirez la vis de couverture de pale,
rondelle en fibreset fleuron de couverture de
pale.
Fixez les couverture de pale sur les
palesen utilisant trois vis et rondelles de fibre
comme montré sur la
Schéma 13.
Étape 2, Fixez les pales du ventilateur sur les
porte-pales en utilisant trois vis et rondelles de fibre
comme montré sur la
Schéma 14.
Étape 3, Enlever toutes les vis sur l'anneau
métallique, met au rebut l'anneau métallique et les
vis.
Étape 4, Serrez les assemblées de pale sur le
moteur inférieur en utilisant quatre vis
précédemment retiré du moteur. (

PRECAUTION: Assurez-vous que les vis
soient serrées fermement.
