IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
READ CAREFULLY AND KEEP FOR FUTURE REFERENCE
Read this manual thoroughly before first use, even if you are familiar with this
type of product. The safety precautions enclosed herein reduce the risk of fire,
electric shock and injury when correctly adhered to. Keep the manual in a safe
place for future reference, along with any warranty information, your purchase
receipt and the original carton. If you sell or transfer ownership of this product,
pass on these instructions to the new owner.
Always follow basic safety precautions and accident prevention measures
when using an electrical appliance, including the following:
Electrical safety and cord handling
• Voltage: Before connecting the electric blanket, ensure your outlet voltage and
circuit frequency correspond to the voltage stated on the product rating label.
• Water: To protect against fire and electric shock, do not immerse the cord,
plug or controller in water or other liquid. Never switch on the electric blanket
if it is moist or wet. Allow the blanket to dry completely before using it. Keep
the controller away from open windows.
• No extension cord: Do not use the blanket with an extension cord unless this
extension cord has been checked and tested by a qualified electrician.
• Power cord: Do not pull or carry the blanket by its power cord. Do not pull the
cord around sharp edges or corners. Do not attempt to expose internal wires.
• Controller: Only use the electric blanket with the detachable controller
supplied, which forms part of the electric blanket.
• Placement of controller, cord and plug: Keep the controller away from an
open window. Ensure that both the controller and the power cord are kept
outside the bed as far as practicable. Make sure that at all times the flexible
supply plug is adjacent and accessible to the main power outlet.
• Handle with care: Avoid sharp objects. Do not insert pins or any sharp
objects into the electric blanket as they may damage the electrical wiring.
• Disconnect: Unplug the blanket from the power outlet when not in use and
before cleaning or storage. Pull by the plug, never pull the cord.
• RCD: Unless your home is already fitted with a residual current device (safety
switch), we recommend installing an RCD with a rated residual operating
current not exceeding 30mA to provide additional safety protection when
using electrical appliances. See your electrician for professional advice.

Fitting the electric blanket
Your fitted electric blanket has a fully fitted, elastic skirt sewn into the blanket so
it can be fitted easily on top of the mattress. Please note that the slits in the skirt
for the controllers are located on the sides of the
blanket closer to the foot end, as illustrated
(Fig. 1).
• Locate the red sticker on the blanket that
indicates the top end. Place the blanket flat
on your bed so that the red sticker sits at the
head of the bed. Remove and discard the red
sticker once the blanket is fitted.
• The slits in the skirt of the blanket should be visible near the foot end of the
bed. The controllers are situated under the electric blanket and should exit
through the slits in the skirt.
• Pull the elastic surrounding the fitted skirt over the ends of the mattress,
making sure that:
* The heating wire section on the electric blanket is clear of the pillow.
* The blanket is evenly stretched and distributed over the entire mattress. Pull
the middle of the blanket so that no creases or rucking is evident.
* No heating wire is trapped or tucked into any part of the bed.
* The elastic of the blanket skirt is completely secured under the entire mattress.
• Ensure that the blanket does not overhang the bed edge.
NOTE: The blanket material must not be wider than the mattress with which
it is to be used. It is normal for a small section of the fitted skirt to be showing
on top of a larger sized mattress.
• Thread the connected controllers through
the sewn loop located near the head of
the blanket (Fig. 2). The controllers will
hang from the loop for easier access to the
controls.
• When the blanket is properly fitted, the
controllers and cord must be outside of the
bed and coverings and located in a position
that will prevent accidental damage to the housing and cords.
• Your new electric blanket is now fully fitted. Add your bed sheets as usual.
Use the blanket only as an underblanket; do not use it above the occupant of
the bed.

Attaching and detaching the controllers
The two controllers for the electric blanket are detachable so that you can take
them off before washing the blanket. If you want to leave your blanket on the bed
all year round as a comfortable underblanket, we recommend you remove and
store the controllers during the summer months.
Whenever you need to attach or detach the controllers, ensure that their power
switches are in the OFF position and not connected to the power supply.
• To connect a controller, thread the detachable plug of the controller through
the hole in the skirt and plug it fully into the socket. Ensure that the locking
clip engages with the small plastic pin on the plug.
• To detach a controller, push out the locking clip to release the socket pin and
withdraw the connector plug by pulling it away from the socket.
Using the electric blanket
This electric blanket is operated with two detachable controllers. Each controller
features dual zone heating, for the body and feet, which you can adjust separately
in 9 heat settings. Heat setting 1 is the lowest, setting 9 the highest. An in-built
timer enables automatic operation of the blanket heating at the start and finish
times of your choice (AUTO). The BOOST button is available in both MANUAL
and AUTO modes.
Programming the controllers
• Ensure the controller switch is in the OFF position.
• Insert the power plug into a power outlet and
switch the outlet on. On the display, [ 12:00 ] and
