Information on the use of the operating instructions
Sehr geehrte Kundinnen und Kunden,
vielen Dank, dass Sie sich für ein Produkt der Kesseböhmer Ergonomietechnik GmbH entschieden
haben. Alle Produkte der Kesseböhmer Ergonomietechnik GmbH sind bezüglich Sicherheit auf
dem neuesten Stand der Technik. Die Steuerung dient der elektrischen Höhenverstellung von Ti-
schen. Mit dieser Bedienungsanleitung wird dem Montagepersonal und Anwender ein gefahrloser
Umgang mit der Steuerung ermöglicht.
fDiese Bedienungsanleitung dient als Ergänzung zur Bedienungsanleitung ControlBasic und
ControlAdvance unter besonderer Berücksichtigung folgender Kapitel:

1.1 Information on the use of the operating instructions

Thank you for choosing a product from Kesseböhmer Ergonomietechnik GmbH. All Kesseböhmer
Ergonomietechnik GmbH products are state-of-the-art in terms of safety. The control system is
used for electrical height adjustment of tables. These operating instructions enable the
installation personnel and users to handle the control system safely.
f These operating instructions serve as a supplement to the ControlBasic and ControlAdvance
operating instructions, with special consideration of the following chapters:

The „General Conditions of Sale and Delivery“ of Kesseböhmer Ergonomietechnik GmbH apply.
These are available to the operator on the date the contract is concluded at the latest. Warranty
and liability claims for personal injury and property damage are excluded if they are caused by
one or more of the following reasons:
t Improper use of the handset
t Disregard of the documentation
t Unauthorized changes to the handset
t Improper work on and with the handset
t Operating the handset when damaged
t Inadequate monitoring of system parts that are subject to wear
t Improperly performed repairs
t Unauthorized, improper change to operating parameters
t Disasters, influence of external elements and force majeure
The handset has le our factory in excellent condition and ensures a high level of technical
safety. Aer installation, this excellent condition must be ensured.

Die Produkte werden in hohen Stückzahlen an den Tischhersteller geliefert und können in Kunst-
stoff oder Karton verpackt sein.
1. Entfernen Sie Karton und Kunststofffolie.
2. Überprüfen Sie den Inhalt der Packung auf Vollständigkeit und Beschädigungen.
3. Trennen Sie Kunststoeile und Karton sortenrein. Entsorgen Sie das Verpackungsmaterial
umweltgerecht.
4. Legen Sie die Bedienungsanleitung für das Montagepersonal bereit.
3 Unpacking
The products are delivered in large quantities to the table manufacturer and can be packed in
plastic or cardboard.
1. Remove cardboard and plastic film.
2. Check the contents of the package for completeness and damage.
3. Separate plastic parts and cardboard according to type. Dispose of the packing material in an
environmentally friendly manner.
4. Make the operating instructions available to the installation personnel.
4 Montage / Installation
Die Montage des Handschalters erfolgt an der Tischplatte. Zur Montage benötigen Sie folgendes
Werkzeug:
tFräsmaschine (nur bei DesignComfort-Top)
tBohrmaschine
tSchraubendreher
fAchten Sie auf ausreichenden Abstand zu anderen Anbauteilen (z.B.
Plattenträger).
fAchten Sie auf die lagerichtige Montage des Handschalters! Kabelabgang
führt von der Tischkante weg!

1. Erstellen Sie die Aussparung (siehe Montageskizze).
2. Führen Sie das Anschlußkabel durch die Bohrungen.
3. Stecken Sie den Handschalter bis zum Anschlag in die Aussparung.
4. Schrauben Sie von der Rückseite in die entsprechenden Löcher zur Befestigung des Hand-
schalters 2 Schrauben (Empfehlung Senk-Blechs. m. Kreuzschlitz 3,9 x 9,5 DIN 7982 A2).

1. Markieren Sie die Bohrlöcher mit einem Bleisti (siehe Montageskizze).
2. Bohren Sie an den markierten Stellen in die Tischplatte.
3. Befestigen Sie den Handschalter an der Tischplatte.
4. Schrauben Sie von der Rückseite in die entsprechenden Löcher zur Befestigung des Hand-
schalters Schrauben (Empfehlung Halbrundkopfschraube ø4x Länge abhängig v. Tischplatten
stärke)
4 Installation
The handset is installed on the table top. For installation, you need the following tools:
t Milling machine (only with DesignComfort-Top)
t Drill
t Screwdriver
DesignComfort-Top
1. Make the opening (see installation sketch).
2. Pass the connection cable through the holes.
3. Insert the handset into the hole as far as it will go.
4. From the back, screw 2 screws into the corresponding holes for attaching the handset (Recom-
mendation: countersunk sheet metal screws with cross heads, 3.9 x 9.5 mm, DIN 7982 A2).

1. Mark the drill holes with a pencil (see installation sketch).
2. Drill into the tabletop at the marked locations.
3. Attach the handset to the table top.
4. From the back, screw the screws into the corresponding holes for attaching the handset
(Recommendation: semi-round head screws ø4x, length depending on table top thickness)
f Make sure there is sufficient distance from other attachments (e.g.
support bar).
f Pay attention to the correct positioning of the handset during installation!
The cable outlet leads away from the edge of the table!

5 Betrieb / Operation
5.1 Grundfunktionen / Basic functions
Bei der Erstinbetriebnahme des Antriebssystems ist eine Reset-Fahrt erforderlich. Durch den
Reset werden, z.B. bei einem Tisch, alle Säulen auf das gleiche Niveau in mittlerer Tischposition
gebracht. Damit wird gewährleistet, dass die Tischplatte parallel zur Grundebene verfahren wird.
Zudem speichert die Steuerung in der Standardausführung die angeschlossenen Komponenten,
wie z.B. Antriebe (Säulen) und einen eventuell angeschlossenen Sensor, ab. Nach dem Reset
werden Konfigurationsänderungen erkannt und als Fehler gewertet. Das System verfährt nicht
mehr bis der abgespeicherte Zustand wiederhergestellt ist.
Reset Beenden Sie den Energiesparmodus der Steuerung in
dem Sie die AUF- oder AB-Taste kurz drücken.
Halten Sie die AUF- und AB-Taste gleichzeitig gedrückt.
Nach ca. 3 Sek. beginnt die Reset-Fahrt.
Das Erreichen der Resetposition wird durch ein doppeltes Klickge-
räusch der Steuerung quittiert, jetzt können Sie die Tasten loslassen.
·Die Resetposition der Antriebe befindet sich ca. in der Mitte des Hubes.
·Die Resetposition ist abängig vom Verfahrbereich und den Anbauteilen
des Tisches.
·Befindet sich der Tisch oberhalb der Resetposition verfährt der Tisch erst
unter die Resetposition und dann von unten auf die Resetposition.
·Befindet der Tisch sich unterhalb der Resetposition fährt der Tisch nach
oben in die Resetposition.
·Befindet sich eine Säule des Tisches über der Resetposition und die
andere Säule unter der Resetposition verfährt erst die Säule, die sich über
der Resetposition befindet unter die Resetposition. Dann fahren beide
Säulen von unten in die Resetposition.
·Jede Säule führt ihre eigene Resetfahrt durch. Das bedeutet wenn eine
Säule weitereingefahren ist als die Andere, erreicht die Säule den Reset-
punkt früher und schließt die Resetfahrt auch früher ab als die andere
Säule.

Aufwärtsfahrt AUF drücken und halten, Display zeigt Tischplattenhöhe
in cm oder inch.
Abwärtsfahrt AB drücken und halten, Display zeigt Tischplattenhöhe
Memory speichern M drücken und halten für 1 sec < M < 3 sec. Dann innerhalb
3 sec F1, F2, F3 oder F4 drücken.
Bestätigung der gespeicherten Position durch Doppelklick
Memory anfahren F1, F2,F3 oder F4 drücken und halten, bis gewünschte
Position erreicht ist (siehe Höhenanzeige).
Tastensperre ein/aus M drücken und halten >10 sec
5 Operation
When starting up the operating system for the first time, a reset is required. Through the reset,
e.g. with a table, all columns are brought to the same level in the middle table position. This
ensures that the table top moves parallel to the ground. In addition, the standard version of the
control system saves the number and type of connected components (columns) and any
connected sensor. Aer the reset, configuration changes are detected and classified as errors.
The system will not move until the saved state is restored.
Reset Exit the energy-saving mode of the control system by
briefly pressing the UP or DOWN button.
Hold down the UP and DOWN buttons at the same time.
Aer approx. 3 seconds, the reset starts.
The attainment of the reset position is confirmed by
a double clicking sound; now you may release the buttons.

Upward movement Press and hold UP; display shows table top height in cm
or inches.
Downward movement Press and hold DOWN; display shows table top height.
Save to memory Press and hold M for 1 to 3 sec. Then press F1, F2, F3
or F4 within 3 sec.
Confirmation of the saved position by a double clicking sound.
Start from memory Press F1, F2, F3 or F4 and hold until the desired position
is reached (see height display).
Button lock on/off Press and hold M for up to 10 sec.
· The reset position of the drives is located approx. in the middle of the
stroke.
· The reset position depends on the traversing range and the attachments
of the table.
· If the table is located above the reset position the table first moves below
the reset position and then from below up to the reset position.
· If the table is located below the reset position the table moves up to the
reset position.
· If one column of the table is located above the reset position and the
other column is located below the reset position the column which is
above the reset position first moves below the reset position. Then both
columns are moved from below to the reset position.
· Each column performs its own reset. This means that if one column is
pushed in further than the other, the column will reach the reset point
sooner and will complete the reset sooner than the other column.

5.2 Erweiterte Funktion (Menü) /
Extended functions (menu)
Das Menü kann über die Taste M aufgerufen und über die Taste E geschlossen werden. Innerhalb
des Menüs navigiert man über die Pfeiltasten und bestätigt durch erneutes Drücken der Taste M.
Die Taste E wird auch dazu verwendet, um innerhalb der Menüs eine Ebene zurück zu gehen.

5.2 Extended functions (menu)
The menu can be accessed via the M button and closed via the E button. Within the menu,
navigate using the arrow buttons and confirm by pressing the M button again.
The E button is also used to go back a level within the menus.
Access menu Press and hold M for 3 to 10 sec.
Change motor group Access the menu via the menu button.
Call up motor group MG1/MG2 with the UP/DOWN button
in the menu; confirm with menu button; the display flashes.
Select desired motor group MG1/MG2 with up/down button
and confirm with the menu button.
Attention: For 2 motor groups, a reset must also be performed for the second
motor group.
