WHEN USING ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES,
BASIC SAFETY PRECAUTIONS SHOULD BE FOLLOWED,
INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING:
. Carefully read all instructions before using.
. Remove and safely discard any packaging materials and
promotional labels before using the appliance for the first
time.
. To eliminate a choking hazard for young children, remove and
safely discard the protective cover fitted to the power plug of
this appliance.
. WARNING: This appliance must be grounded using a 3-hole
properly grounded outlet. In the event of an electrical short
circuit, grounding reduces the risk of electrical shock.
. Operate appliance only through a professionally installed plug
socket supplying the correct voltage.
. The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of
an external timer or separate remote control system.
Do not use extension cables.
. Do not operate this appliance with a damaged cord or plug.
If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer or its authorized service personnel, or similarly
qualified professional in order to avoid any risk.
. This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than
the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is
intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug
does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still
does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt
to modify the plug in any way.
. To protect against fire, electric shock and injury and to
prevent any risk of short-circuiting, do not immerse in water
or any other liquids.
. Never let the main cable hang loose, nor remove plug with
wet hands, nor lay or hang on hot surfaces, nor let it come
into contact with oil.
. Never operate damaged appliances.
. Do not place the appliance on a polished wood surface,
it could damage the wood.
. Unplug the appliance after each use, or when the appliance
is not in use, before changing accessories or cleaning
theappliance.
. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including
children) who are with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they
are supervised or have been given instructions regarding the
use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
. Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with
the milk frother.
. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by
or near children.
. THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE ATTENDED AT ALL TIMES
DURING USE.
. Never touch live parts.
. Do not touch the metal parts, the whisk support or its
housing when the appliance is in use, as this may cause
burning orscalding.
. To protect against injury, never touch rotating parts.
. Do not insert any objects and/or fingers in the appliance’s
openings.
. The appliance must only be used with the base unit provided.
The underside of the appliance must always be clean and dry
before being placed on the base unit.
. Do not operate without milk in the jug.
. Never exceed the capacity of the jug, contents may overflow.
. Turn the appliance and main power off when not in use.
. Do not operate outdoors.
. Never operate appliance on uneven or wet surfaces.
. Keep the appliance clear of walls, curtains and other heat or
steam sensitive materials.

. Provide adequate space above and on all sides for air
circulation around the appliance.
. Use only fire blankets to extinguish fires on appliances.
. To dispose of the appliance, disable by cutting main cable and
take to an official disposal site.
. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles, knobs or
rubber sleeve.
. Use caution when pouring foamed milk from the appliance,
as both the appliance and hot milk might scald.
. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
Allow to cool before adding or removing parts, and before
cleaning the appliance.
. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug
or after the appliance malfunctions, or has been damaged in
any manner. Return the appliance to the nearest authorized
service facility for examination, repair or adjustment.
. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the
appliance manufacturer may result in fire, electric shock
orinjury.
. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, touch hot
surfaces, or become knotted.
. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a
heated oven.
. Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the
wall outlet. In order to disconnect, turn any control to “Off”
by pressing it again, then remove plug from wall outlet.
. The appliance is not designed for commercial or industrial
use; it is for household use only.
. This appliance has been designed specifically for the purpose
of foaming milk and alternative milk products. It is not
intended for whipping, thickening or heating other food
substances e.g. oil, eggs, butter, heavy cream, whipping
cream, soups, gravies, etc. Do not use appliance for other
than its intended use.
. Scalding may occur if the lid is removed during the heating/
frothing cycles.
. Keep the appliance and its accessories clean in accordance
with the care instructions provided.
. Do not use harsh abrasives, caustic cleaners or oven cleaners
when cleaning the appliance.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
BEFORE THE FIRST USE:
• Unpack the box with care, keeping all the packaging
materials until you are satisfied everything is present
and in working order.
• Remove all packaging and any aluminium foil wrapping
and store it for later use. Check if the appliance has
been delivered completely and that it is in perfect order.
• Before using the appliance for the first time please
clean the jug and the accessories, as described under
the “MAINTENANCE” section to remove dust or
production residues.
