Quick-Start Guide

DearCustomer,
thank you for choosing a Keyline product.
Keyline is particularly careful and determined to create products
combining precision mechanical equipment and next generation
electronics that excel in terms of performance and are very easy to use.
Please remember that this Keyline key-cutting machine, like all
professional electronic equipment, requires some technical training in
order for its full potential to be developed.
It is therefore essential to read this manual carefully before starting to use
your new Keyline key-cutting machine. The manual contains a lot of
information on the safeuse of the machine that will allow the user to work
at optimal levels.
Toguarantee maximum protection and a long life for your key-cutting
machine, please follow all the instructions for use and warnings contained
in this manual. Failing to do so may cause mechanical failure or the
malfunction of the key-cutting machine.
We wish you a pleasant work experience with your new Keyline key-cutting
machine.

WARRANTY CONDITIONS
1. Keyline S.p.A. guarantees the good operation of the machine for a period of24 months from the purchase date, and undertakes to
re-place (if necessary, with a more recent model) or repair the machine or its individual components in case of defects in
workmanship. This warranty does not cover any defects or damages caused bythe user because of negligence, or byrepairs,
replacement of individual components or maintenance carried out by operators not authorized by Keyline S.p.A., orby any
circumstance not under the control of Keyline S.p.A. The professional use of the machines is regulated by the provisions of Art. 7
below.
2. Any repair or replacement expenses, except transport costs, shall be borne by Keyline S.p.A. Parts subject to normalwear and tear,
such as cutters, clamps, brushes, and tracers, are not covered by this warranty.
3. Keyline S.p.A. reserves the right to refuse free service when the re-quested documents (purchase invoice stating the machine
serialnumber) are not provided or when the information is incomplete, illegible or incompatible with the manufacturing data.
4. At Keyline S.p.A.'s solediscretion, repairs may include the updating of some details and the replacement of components with
equivalent parts new or refurbished. The replaced components and accesso-ries are guaranteed for the residual duration of the
original warranty. Replacement ofthe product or ofa part does not extend or restart the warranty period.
5. If a machine still under warranty is equipped with non-original accessories, Keyline S.p.A. shall not be liable for any malfunction
and the warranty shall be considered void.
Keyline S.p.A. does not guarantee the correct operation of the product/machine combination, if the machine is used together with
non-original accessories or equipment, and, consequently, shall not ac-cept requests for service under the warranty.
In order to makeuse of this warranty, the customer undertakes to notify Keyline S.p.A. of any defect covered by the warranty within
30 days from its manifestation, on pain of this warranty becoming void.In case of non-compliance, for any reason, of this term, the one
pro-vided for by Art. 1495 CC will be applied.
General exclusions
6. The following items are excluded from the warranty:
- Components subject to normal wear and tear or deterioration as a consequence of anormal use of the product and defects
-originated by the same cause.
-Product defects that can be led back to non-compliance with the instructions for use, incorrect use, anomalous environmental
-conditions, non-compliant operating conditions, lack of maintenance and care or professional use of the machine without service.
-Defects or damages due to transport, humidity,liquids or infiltra-tions caused bythe incorrect use of the product.
- Defects due toan incorrect preservation of the product on unsuit-able or inappropriate environmental conditions which differ from
the technical specifications of the product, from the instructions for use, from the installation guide;
-Scratches or damages to the surfaces and external parts caused by the normal use of the Product by the customer.

Defects of the key cutting machine due to the use of non-original Keyline S.p.A. accessories or spare parts.
Products that have beenaltered or integrated with no previous agreement.
Minimal anomalies of the product's characteristics that do not compromise its value and performance.
Except for the right to the elimination of any of the defects mentioned in these warranty terms and conditions, any other rights are
explicitly ex-cluded.
Keyline S.p.A. refuses any liability for injury to persons and components deriving from lacking grounding or improper use of the product.
7. Machines subject to professional use that exceed the set number of work cycles during the validity of the warranty must be
subjected to regular maintenance, carried out exclusively by Keyline S.p.A. staff;the costs of regular maintenance are borne by the
customer. If n o maintenance is carried out, the warranty is to be considered null andvoid as at the moment in which the machine
exceeds the number ofwork cycles declared by Keyline S.p.A.
Professional use of the machine should include a maximum recom-mended number of 20-30 cycles/day.
The number of cycles that determines the definition of a machine for pro-fessional use is 5,000 cycles per year.
Transportation is left tothe user to arrange, who may choose the carrier.
Transportation costs and risks are borne by the customer.

8. Shall any dispute arise in relation to the validity, interpretation, execution, dissolution or non-fulfilment of this document, the court
of competent jurisdiction is located in Treviso, Italy.

1 TAKING THE MACHINE OUT OF THE BOX

1 Takingth e machine out of the box
IMPORTANT!
It is strongly recommended to keep the packaging for the entire warranty period.
The machine must be taken out of its packaging as follows:
1. Cut the seals or sealing sticker and open the box containing the
key cutting machine.
2. Take out the package containing the getting started guide, the
console (if present), the cables and/or the clamps/optionals and
accessories.
3. Remove the side covers from the box. 4. Use the two recesses on the machine long sides to take hold of
the machine and remove it from the box.
5. Free the machine from its packaging.

MESSENGER can be controlled only through the “Keyline Duplicating Tool” (KDT) application, which must be installed on your Android
tablet/smartphone.
To use the “Keyline Duplicating Tool” app it is necessary to have a registered Keyline account. Remember that:
• It is possible to associate more than one Device to a registered account.
• A Device can be associated to a single account only.
This guide provides information on how to set up your new Device and how to connect it to your Keyline account.
Note: The Device can be used only after reading the instructions for it use and maintenance and, therefore, only after having understood the
operating and safety procedures set in place by the machine manufacturer.Such procedures are available in the Customers Area,inside
the Keyline personal profile.
1. Open the box containing the Device and
take out the getting started guide, the
power supply unit and power supply cable
and all the machine’s optional accesso-
ries (if supplied).
2. Grab the top handle and take MESSEN-
GER out of the box. 3. Place all MESSENGER‘s feet on the work
bench.
4. Remove the machine protective film.

5. Connect the C13 (IEC320) socket of the
power supply cable to the C14 (IEC320)
plug of the power supply unit.
6. Connect the R7B plug of the power supply
unit to the machine connector placed on
the right side of the machine body.
7. Insert the power supply unit cable plug
into a socket.

8. If MESSENGER is to be run by the Bosch
GBA 36V 2.0Ah battery (not supplied), or
similar, place the battery in the relevant
seat.
9. If the Device is powered by the power sup-
ply unit, the battery shall be used in case
of blackout.
10. Reset the previously pressed red mush-
room emergency button.
11. Resetting the emergency button causes
the machine to be turned on.
12. Through your Android device, access the
Google Play Store and find the “Keyline
Duplicating Tool” application.
13. Press “INSTALL”.
14. If the KDT app is already installed, then
update it.
If you do not have a Keyline profile, you shall have to register as a new user.
1. Fill in the information requested by the
application, then press “CONFIRM”.
2. The fields with the * symbol are mandato-
ry in order to go to the next phase.
3. KDT shall send an e-mail message to the
address you input.
4. Click on the link contained in the e-mail
message to confirm.
5. KDT then shall send a message to the
phone number you input.
6. Input the code you received and press
“CONFIRM CODE”.

7. Fill in the information requested by the
application, then press “CONFIRM”. 8. Fill in the information requested by the
application, then press “FINISH”. 9. After completing the procedure correctly
press “BACK TO HOME”.
10. After installing/updating the application,
open it.
11. Input the e-mail and password of your
registered account.
12. After logging in, KDT will search for devic-
es nearby.
13. Once it finds the machine, press the ma-
chine icon to connect.
14. Accept the EULA and press “OK” to con-
firm the association of the machine to
your registered account.

15. After completing the registration proce-
dure, press “OK” to connect the KDT app
to the device.
16. The found devices shall be displayed on
screen.
17. Select the device to be connected and
press “OK”.
18. Now press “YES” to pair the device.
19. Follow the described procedure to pair
the device properly. 20. After pressing the “PAIR” button, author-
ise access to your contacts and calls his-
tory by ticking the relevant box and
confirm with “Pair”.

21. If the procedure was successful, close the
protection screen and press “OK” to start
using the machine.
22. Otherwise, press “RESTART” and go
through the entire procedure described
above once again.
Note: If the connection between the App
and the Device is made with the pro-
tective screen closed, the machine’s
linear axes move to the cycle start po-
sition (reset).
23. Press “HOME” in the bottom bar: this
opens the key search main page.
24. See the instruction for the complete use
of MESSENGER to use the Device.
25. To stop MESSENGER, press the red mush-
room emergency button.
26. Close the “Keyline Duplicating Tool” App.
27. Remove the plug/battery to cut power to
the Device.
