Chapter 1 Introduction
Congratulations on purchasing the Cordless VoIP Phone! Now you have all the
benefits of using SkypeTM without being tied to your computer.

1.4 Safety and General Information:
Your phone is designed to use only AAA Ni-MH rechargeable batteries.
Warning! Never attempt to charge non-rechargeable batteries.
The battery can be charged and discharged hundreds of times, but it will gradually
wear out, when the operation time (standby time and talk time) is noticeably
shorter than normal, then it is probably time to purchase batteries.
Replace all the batteries at the same time.
The rechargeable batteries must be disposed of properly and may need to be
recycled. Dispose of used batteries in accordance with local regulations.
Don’t drop or knock the phone, rough handling may damage the internal circuit.
Don’t leave the phone in hot or cold places.
Don’t expose your device to moisture, dust or corrosive liquids.
Don’t attempt to open the device, only qualified personnel may repair this product.
Digit encryption scrambles all communications transmitted between the phone and
the USB dongle to keep them private.
Keep the phone and all its parts out of the reach of children.
For cleaning, use a soft, slightly moistened cloth, avoid using solvents or abrasive
substances.

Chapter 2 Getting Started
Note: Before you can use the phone with your computer, you must install the driver.
Before installation, please ensure that:
You do not connect the USB dongle to your computer until driver installation has finished.
You have the latest version of SkypeTM installed on your computer.
Your computer is connected to Internet.
2.1 Installing the Driver for Windows®2000/XP
Turn on your PC, and insert the CD that came in your package into the PC’s CD-ROM drive, an
installation menu will appear. Refer to the following steps to install the driver:
Step 1 Click the Install Driver button:
Step 2 Click Next to continue:

Step 3 Select Complete and click Next:
Step 4 Click Install to begin the installation:

Step 5 Click Finish to complete the installation:
Step 6 Click OK to run the Wireless USB Phone driver.
Note: Please check the driver icon and SkypeTM icons are shown in the bar at the

bottom right of your screen.
Note: Once the driver is installed on your PC, the driver will be activated automatically whenever
you start the PC.
Proceed to Section 2.3 (Connecting the USB Dongle to your Computer)
2.2 Installing the Driver for Mac OS®X 10.3 or Higher
Note: Before you can use the phone with your computer, you must install the driver.
Before installation, please ensure that:
You do not connect the USB dongle to your computer until driver installation has finished.
You have the latest version of SkypeTM installed on your computer.
Your computer is connected to Internet.
Turn on your Mac, and insert the CD that came in your package into the Mac’s disc drive. Refer to
the following steps to install the driver:
Step 1 Browse to the Install Driver for MAC.dmg folder:

Step 2 The “WirelessUSBPhone Driver OSX 1.1.3” icon will appear on your desktop, please
find it and click the icon:
Step 3 Click the “WirelessUSBPhone Driver Install.pkg” folder:

Step 4 Click Continue:
Step 5 Click Continue:

Step 6 Select Macintosh HD and click Continue:
Step 7 Click Upgrade:

Step 8 Click Close to complete the installation:
Note: Please check the driver icon and SkypeTM icons are shown in the bar at the top
right of your screen.
Note: Once the driver is installed on your Mac, the driver will be activated automatically whenever
you start the Mac. IMPORTANT NOTE: You may see a console window open when you
first connect the USB dongle to your computer. This is normal.

Step 9 Setting the rings of incoming call and dialing:
Click the driver icon and select Audio Control…:
Click Output and select USB Headset:
Note: The above settings change the audio output from the build-in audio of your computer to the
phone, if you want to go back to the computer original audio setting, just select the
Internal speakers.
Proceed to Section 2.3 (Connecting the USB Dongle to your Computer)
2.3 Connecting the USB Dongle to your Computer:
Note: The first time you connect the USB dongle to your computer, the operating system detects
the hardware and installs drivers for it. The installation procedure and screens you see may vary
from the ones shown here depending on your operating system.
Connect the USB dongle to a USB connector on your computer, and make sure the

USB dongle is properly inserted:
Select Allow this application to use Skype radio button and click OK:
2.4 Inserting the Batteries:
Note: Only use AAA Ni-MH rechargeable batteries. Your batteries may be enclosed in a protective
clear plastic case, remove the battery from case before attempting to install them.

Slide the battery cover in the direction shown to remove it from the phone.
Insert the three batteries with the correct polarity as indicated.
Replace the battery cover firmly back into place.
Note: The phone will automatically turn on after inserting batteries.
2.5 Pairing the Phone and the USB Dongle:

Note: You only need to pair the phone and USB dongle the first time you use the phone with your
computer. Refer to the following instructions to pair the phone and USB dongle:
Press the square connect button on the USB dongle, the connect LED turns on.
Hold the phone 10 cm near to the USB dongle until the connect LED blinks.
Please wait for 5 seconds, check the indictor is shown on the phone LCD display.
Note: Do not use the other Cordless VoIP Phones after connecting the USB dongle on your

computer. Do not take out the USB dongle while you are talking on the phone.
2.6 Setting SkypeTM Ringtone: (Optional)
For Windows® 2000/XP:
Open SkypeTM →Select “Tools ” from the drop-down menu →click “Options”:
Click on “Sounds” on the left menu →Select “ringtone” and “Skype ringtone (Classic)”
→Click Save:

For Mac OS®10.3 or higher:
Open SkypeTM →Select “Skype ” from the drop-down menu →click into “Preferences…”:
Click“Events”→ Select “Incoming Call” in the Event and“Incoming Call(Classic)”in
the Play sound:
