Mounting
TheKMT6 long-range tower system'sbillet-aluminum mounting brackets use seven sets of
ABSplastic inserts to fit most wakeboarding tower and roll bar diameters. See thechart
aboveforthesupported diameters.
To mount yourKMT6 long-range tower system:
1. Using a1/4" Allen wrench (6mm InbusTM-key), screw themounting bracket bottom to the
top of theenclosure with thesupplied stainless steel socket-head cap screws. See Figure 2.
2. Determine thediameter of themetal bar you wish to mount theKMT6 long-range tower
systemto and choose themounting insert with theappropriate inner diameter.
3. Placethebottom halves of theplastic inserts into themounting bracket bottom and
positionthespeaker mounts against thebar.
4. Placetheremaining insert halves ontheopposite sideof thebar and tighten the
mounting bracket topsaround theplastic inserts with a1/4" Allen wrench until thespeaker is
secure.

Location
Thesound produced by theKMT6 long-range tower system is directional. Theenclosure
may bemounted vertically orhorizontally; thebillet-aluminum mounting brackets can
accommodate any angle fortheoptimum firing direction. Find thebest locationfor
stereophonic sound. If necessary, add more KMT6 systemsin theinstallationto help
distribute and balancethesound. After determining thebest mounting locations, carefully
check theareas where themounting hardware and speaker cable will beplaced.

YourKMT6 long-range wakeboarding tower system enclosure was specially designed for
“Livin’ Loud” outin theharsh marine environment. Thesystem is madeof advanced
materials and constructiontechniques to maintain optimal performanceforyears to come.
Application
TheKicker KMT6 long-range tower system is specifically designed formounting in the
open-air. Theinjection-molded ABSenclosure and speakers are UV treated, splash
resistant, and weather resilient. Thewoofers utilizeasealed cone and motorassembly, and
an open-cell foam protects thetweeter. TheKMT6’suniqueexponential-horn-loaded 20mm
titanium tweeter and dual 6.5 inch (165mm) woofers allowthesystem to produceclean and
crisp sound over along distance. Mount theKMT6 in yourboat orget creativewith apair
of them in thegarage, onyour4x4 orPolaris Ranger’sroll bars, orin any other bar-
mounted application.

Pro Tip: You are one Kicker Loaded-Subwoofer enclosure, one ZX Mono-Amplifier
and a few cables away from a slamm’in system! The Kicker ZX line of mono-amplifiers
make it easy to upgrade to solid bass with your existing or stock source unit.
Please ask your dealer about the SKM10 Loaded-Subwoofer enclosure.

Themounting hardware design provides versatility in angular positioning to directthe
speaker'soutputto theideal listening position; however, it is notrecommended to reposition
thespeakers excessively after they are mounted. Custom mounting locations will require
more preparation, work, and possibly customized hardware. If themounting location
requires you to cutmetal, avoid structural metal and braces. Ineither case, makesure the
speaker will notinterfere with thevehicle’smechanismsortheparty you are throwing outon
yourpontoonboat.
Wiring
If pre-existing speaker wiring is notavailable in yourdesired mounting location, it may be
necessary to runthewire through thewakeboarding tower orroll bar onyourvehicle. The
speaker wire should bekeptaway from sharp edges to avoid thepossibility of getting
pinched by moving mechanismsand beoutof theway of all passengers and party-goers. If
you must drill ahole to
runthespeaker wire
through any location,
becarefulnotto drill
into other wiring or
existing mechanisms.
Any timeawire is run
through ahole, it is
necessary to insert a
rubber orplastic
grommet to protectthe
wire from damage.
Check yourlocal
building codes forthe
necessary procedures
and precautions for
running lowvoltage
wiring in yourhomeor
indoorskatepark.
Oncethespeaker wiring job is finished, plugthespeaker wires securely into thepositive(red
dotonthespeaker connector) and negative(black dotonthespeaker connector) five-way
speaker terminals onthetop-rear area of theKMT6 long-range tower system enclosure.
Maintain proper polarity between all KMT6 speakers. Most speaker wires are marked with a
solid ordashed line onone of thetwo speaker wires. Use this solid ordashed line as the
positivepolarity throughouttheentire speaker system. Theother end of these wires connect
to yoursourceunit oramplifier in asimilar manner, observing proper polarity. See Figure 3.
Wiring two KMT6Long-RangeTowerSystems to a single channel
Modern high performancespeakers havealower Working Impedancethan what used to be
available. TheKicker KMT6 speakers are rated at fourohmsand work with any sourceunit
oramplifier designed to operate at afourohm load. If you want to use two KMT6 speakers
oneach channel of yoursourceunit oramplifier wire thespeakers in series. See Figure 4.
This will improvethesound quality, lower thetotal harmonic distortionand lessen the
thermal load at thesourceunit oramplifier, as it will beasix ohm load. This may prevent an
amplifier from shutting down, dueto over-current protectioncircuitry.

Kicker warrants this productto befree from defects in material and workmanship under normal use foraperiod of
THREE (3) MONTHSfrom date of original purchase with receipt. When purchased from an Authorized KICKER Dealer
it is warranted forONE (1) YEAR from date of original purchase with receipt. Inall cases you must havetheoriginal
receipt. Should servicebenecessary under this warranty forany reasondueto manufacturing defectormalfunction
during thewarranty period, Kicker will repair orreplace(at its discretion) thedefectivemerchandise with equivalent
merchandise at no charge. Warranty replacements may havecosmetic scratches and blemishes. Discontinued
products may bereplaced with more current equivalent products.
This warranty is valid only fortheoriginal purchaser and is notextended to owners of theproductsubsequent to the
original purchaser. Any applicable implied warranties are limited in durationto aperiod of theexpress warranty as
provided herein beginning with thedate of theoriginal purchase at retail, and no warranties, whether express or
implied, shall apply to this productthereafter. Somestates do notallowlimitations onimplied warranties; therefore
these exclusions may notapply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights; however you may haveother
rights that vary from state to state.

If it becomes necessary foryou to return defectivemerchandise directly to Stillwater Designs (Kicker), call theKicker

defectiveitemsin theoriginal container orin apackage that will prevent shipping damage, and return to:

o Damage caused by exposure to moisture, excessiveheat, chemical cleaners, and/orUV radiation
o Damage through negligence, misuse, accident orabuse. Repeated returns forthesamedamage may be
considered abuse
o Any cost orexpense related to theremoval orreinstallationof product
o Speakers damaged dueto amplifier clipping ordistortion
o Itemspreviously repaired ormodified by any unauthorized repair facility
o Return shipping onnon-defectiveitems
o Products with tampered ormissing barcodelabels

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE?
Kicker strives to maintain agoal of 24-hourserviceforall acoustics(subwoofers, midrange and coaxial drivers,
tweeters, crossovers, etc) returns. Delaysmay beincurred if lack of replacement inventory orparts is encountered.
Failure to followthese stepsmay void yourwarranty. Any questions can bedirected to theKicker Customer Service

InternationalWarranty
ContactyourInternational Kicker dealer ordistributorconcerning specific procedures foryourcountry'swarranty
policies.
WARNING: KICKER products are capable of producing sound levels that can permanently damage yourhearing!
Turning up asystem to alevel that has audible distortionis more damaging to yourears than listening to an
undistorted system at thesamevolumelevel. Thethreshold of pain is alwaysan indicatorthat thesound level is too
loud and may permanently damage yourhearing. Please use commonsense when controlling volume.
