everywhere, where cross-contamination takes place, where people meet and where hands touch common
surfaces. The dispenser is designed especially for the automatic dispensing of hand disinfectant.
Use only hand disinfectants approved by KiiltoClean. KiiltoClean is not responsible for damages caused by
improper use of the dispenser, or if used for purposes other than described above or it has been modified
without permission from KiiltoClean.
Any structural or technical modifications or changes to the dispenser void the warranty.
Each unit must have a designated key user, who is responsible for the upkeep of the unit.

4
3. Operating information
3.1 Safety guidelines
Use the hand disinfectant dispenser only under the following conditions:
•All parts have been installed correctly and the device is fully operational
•The hand disinfectant dispenser is used for its designated purpose and in an appropriate manner
•The instructions in the user manual are followed
3.2 Preparing the hand disinfectant dispenser for use
3.2.1 Positioning the hand disinfectant dispenser
The SafePoint+ dispenser has been designed for indoor use only. The location must be easily accessible
from both sides. For example, place the hand disinfectant dispenser near the entrance of a building or a
cafeteria service line area.
Do not position the dispenser in a way that it blocks emergency exits, fire-fighting equipment or emergency
lighting. In addition, do not place the dispenser in locations where it would be exposed to continuous radiant
heat. Such places include near heaters, radiators or exposed to direct sunlight. This is very important as
otherwise the internal temperature may rise too high.
If the dispenser Is to be moved, handle it according to any local safety regulations. It is recommended that
two persons move the dispenser as it is heavy. Do not lift or move the unit by touching the section where the
sensor is located (where the hand disinfectant is dispensed). Move the dispenser only after disconnecting it
from the power source.
3.2.2 Mounting stand for the hand disinfectant dispenser
The dispenser must be mounted in an upright position on a flat level surface. The four adjustment knobs
underneath the dispenser are used to level the unit. Before moving the dispenser, take out both the hand
disinfectant canister and the waste fluid canister and secure the cover with the latch.
3.2.3 Installing the hand disinfectant canister
1. Use only hand disinfectants approved by KiiltoClean.
2. Open the cover using the triangular wrench supplied with the dispenser to turn the cover latch 45
degrees counter clockwise.

5
3. Disassemble the waste fluid canister and check whether it needs to be emptied. Check the waste
fluid canister at regular intervals and empty it whenever necessary. Deliver any waste liquid to a
recycling point or to be disposed according to local regulations.
1. Use the bottom end of the metal suction tube and press the tube through
the cap of the disinfectant container. Ensure that the cap is securely
tightened
.
4. Place the new hand disinfectant canister in the bottom of the device aligning it to match the shape of
the bottom.
5. Finally, close the cover by placing the bottom guides of the cover at the matching locations on the
body of the dispenser and lock it by turning the latch 45 degrees clockwise.
6. Connect the low-voltage plug (voltage 24 VDC) of the power transformer to a corresponding inlet
plug on the lower left side of the dispenser. Connect the other end of the power transformer to an
ordinary electrical outlet (voltage 110...230 VAC, 50/60 Hz).
7. A red ray of light will be displayed in the space between the dosing nozzle and the waste fluid drain.
The dispenser is now ready for use.
8. After the installation, confirm that the dispenser is dispensing hand disinfectant properly upon
inserting hands into the dosing space.
NOTE! A new dispenser is delivered with the internal tubes empty. This is the reason hand
disinfectant does not flow to the hands for the first few times of dispensing. It takes about
twenty to thirty dispenses before the hand disinfectant starts flowing normally. After this the
dispenser is ready for operation.

6
4. Using the hand disinfectant dispenser
Dispensing is activated when the reflective sensor recognizes that hands have been placed near the
dispensing space. An electronically controlled pump dispenses hand disinfectant from the canister inside the
device. The hand disinfectant begins to be dispensed within 0.5 seconds after the sensor has detected the
hands. Dispensing stops after a programmed amount of hand disinfectant has been dispensed.
An overflow bowl at the bottom of the dispensing opening is connected to the waste fluid canister inside the
unit, which is where any excess hand disinfectant which might drip from hands is collected.
The hand disinfectant dispenser is used as follows:
1. Place both hands side by side, palms up, in a cupped manner in the dispensing opening. The
sensor recognises hands from a distance of 6 to 10 cm. If hands are placed closer or further
than the above stated distance, the dispensing will not start.
2. After dispensing a predetermined amount of hand disinfectant, the dispensing stops
automatically, and hands can be moved away from under the sensor. After the dispensing
finishes, disinfect hands by rubbing them carefully together until they are dry. If another
dispense is required, place hands again under the sensor as described in section 1.
NOTE! Hand disinfectant fluid must always be dispensed on both hands. Follow the hand disinfectant
instructions for wetting and cleaning hands carefully.
5. Inspecting and servicing the hand disinfectant dispenser
The required maintenance depends greatly on the amount of usage each individual unit receives. Under
normal operating conditions, a dispenser does not require any other maintenance than regular cleaning,
emptying the waste fluid canister and changing the hand disinfectant canister. However, the proper operation
of the unit must be checked regularly. It is suggested that a responsible person is nominated for checking the
routine and daily functioning of the unit.
5.1 Service and repairs
Do not hesitate to contact KiiltoClean or an authorised service centre for any repair advice or to send the
dispenser for servicing. KiiltoClean is not responsible for nor does the warranty cover breakdowns or
malfunctions caused by the customer's failure to follow the instructions described in this user manual.
NOTE! All service and maintenance procedures must be performed only when the dispenser is
disconnected from its electrical power supply. This is done by disconnecting the power transformer from the
electrical outlet.
5.1.1 Emptying the waste fluid canister
When the dispenser is in use, any hand disinfectant dripping from the hands collects in the overflow bowl
and is carried to the waste fluid canister, which is located inside the dispenser. It is important to monitor the

7
level of waste fluid inside this canister and empty it as required. The waste fluid canister is emptied in the
following manner:
1. Disconnect the dispensing unit from the electrical power supply by disconnecting the power
transformer.
2. Open the cover using the triangular wrench supplied with the dispenser to turn the cover latch 45
degrees counterclockwise.
3. Remove the waste fluid canister to see if it needs to be emptied.
4. If the waste fluid canister is full and needs to be emptied, dispose of the waste fluid in an appropriate
manner. For more details on safe disposal, contact your local KiiltoClean representative or the
respective environmental authority.
5. Replace the waste fluid canister inside the dispenser. If you use the empty hand disinfectant canister
for this purpose, the canister must be marked accordingly.
6. Lock the cover using the triangular wrench supplied with the dispenser to turn the cover latch 45
degrees clockwise.
7. Reconnect the dispenser to the electrical power supply by connecting the power transformer plug to
the electrical outlet.
8. Check that the dispenser is operating properly (ref. 3.2.3).
5.1.2. Changing the hand disinfectant canister
1. Use only hand disinfectants approved by KiiltoClean.

8
2. Open the cover using the triangular wrench supplied with the dispenser to turn the cover latch 45
degrees counter clockwise.
3. Remove the waste fluid canister to check if it needs to be emptied. Check the waste fluid canister at
regular intervals and empty it whenever necessary.
4. If the dispenser already contains an hand disinfectant canister, remove it from the dispenser.
5. Attach the cap and the metal suction pipe, including the delivery hoses, to the canister screwing the
cap carefully in place. Ensure that the cap is securely tightened.
6. Place the new hand disinfectant canister in the bottom of the device aligning it to match the shape of
the bottom. Note! When a new cap is being taken into use, make a small hole on the hand
disinfectant canister’s cap for replacement air. This hole can be made right next to the suction pipe
while leaving enough space between the two holes.
7. Finally, close the cover by placing the bottom guides of the cover at the matching locations on the
body of the dispenser and lock it by turning the latch 45 degrees clockwise.
8. Connect the low-voltage plug (voltage 24 VDC) of the power transformer to the inlet plug on the
back-top side of the dispenser. Connect the power transformer to an ordinary electrical outlet
(voltage 110...230 VAC, 50/60 Hz).

9
9. The dispenser is ready for operation when a red ray of light will be displayed in the dosing space
between the dosing nozzle and the waste fluid drain. The dispenser is now ready for use.
10. After the installation is complete, check that the dispenser is dispensing hand disinfectant properly
(ref. 3.2.3).
NOTE! Recycle or dispose of the used hand disinfectant canister in an appropriate manner. For more
details on safe disposal, contact your local KiiltoClean representative or the respective environmental
authority.
