Description
The KAL714C is used to connect four conventional zones to an
addressable fire system.
The module may be used in detection systems with no area
subdivision and/or when exact location data is not required.
One module allows for connection of up to 20 conventional
detectors per zone and an unlimited number of manual call
points or normally open (NO) contacts to the fire detection
system.
Installation
Caution: For general guidelines on system planning, design,
installation, commissioning, use and maintenance, refer to the
EN 54:14 standard and local regulations.
Module Installation
Disconnect the fire system power supply and install the module
in the protective housing provided.
Connect the loop cable shield wire to the earth screw and
install a 4.7 kΩ end-of-line resistor at the end of the detection
zone.
The 24 V power supply for the module must be provided by an
auxiliary power source.
Connection
The module connectors, DIP switch, and status LED are
shown in Figure 1:

Addressing
Each module requires a numeric address for identification
purposes. This is set by using DIP switches 1 to 8.
The module uses four addresses: The configured address plus
the next three numbers (for example, 201, 202 and 203 if the
configured address is 200).
By switching DIP switches 1 to 7 to the ON position, the
module can be addressed from 128 to 252.
For further information, refer to address tables at the end of
this document.
Note: By switching DIP switch 8 to the ON position, the KFP-A
panel allows the module to be addressed from 1 to 125.
Caution: Do not attempt to use DIP switch 8 with any control
panel other than the KFP-A. If you place DIP switch 8 in the
ON position with any other type of control panel, this action
may damage or destroy the module.
Status LED
The Status LED is lit constantly during alarm.
Maintenance and testing
Basic maintenance consists of a yearly inspection. Do not
modify internal wiring or circuitry.
To test the module:
1. Remove a detector head from its base or activate a
manual call point connected to the module detection zone.
2. If the status LED and control panel fail to indicate the test
all connections should be checked and the module
address verified.

Descripción
El módulo KAL714C se utiliza para conectar cuatro zonas
convencionales a un sistema de incendios direccionable.
El módulo puede utilizarse en los sistemas de detección sin
subdivisión de áreas o cuando no se necesiten los datos de
ubicación exactos.
Un módulo permite la conexión de hasta 20 detectores
convencionales por zona y un número ilimitado de puntos de
llamadas manuales o contactos normalmente abiertos (NA) al
sistema de detección de incendios.
Instalación
Precaución: Consulte el estándar EN 54:14 y las normativas
locales para obtener información acerca de las directrices de
planificación, diseño, instalación, funcionamiento, utilización y
mantenimiento del sistema.
Instalación del módulo
Desconecte la fuente de alimentación del sistema de incendios
e instale el módulo en la carcasa protectora proporcionada.
Conecte el hilo apantallado del cable de bucle al tornillo de
tierra e instale una resistencia de fin de línea de 4,7 kΩal final
de la zona de detección.
Una fuente de alimentación auxiliar debe proporcionar
alimentación de 24 V al módulo.

Direccionamiento
Para su identificación, cada módulo requiere de una dirección
numérica. Ésta se define mediante el empleo de los micro-
interruptores 1 a 8.
El módulo utiliza cuatro direcciones: la dirección configurada
más los tres números siguientes (por ejemplo, 201, 202 y 203
si la dirección configurada es 200).
Mediante los micro-interruptores 1 a 7 a la posición ‘ON’, el
módulo puede ser direccionado desde la dirección 128 a la
252.

Nota: Con el empleo del micro-interruptor 8 a la posición ‘ON’,
el módulo puede ser direccionado en valores de 1 a 125
cuando se use en paneles KFP-A.
Advertencia: No usar el micro interruptor 8 con una central
que no sea el KFP-A. Si se configura el micro interruptor 8 en
‘ON’ con otra central que no sea la KFP-A, se puede dañar
irreversiblemente el módulo.
LED de estado
El indicador LED permanece encendido durante una alarma.
Mantenimiento y pruebas
El mantenimiento básico se reduce a una inspección por año.
No modifique el circuito interno ni la disposición de los cables.
Para realizar la comprobación del módulo:
1. Extraiga la cabeza del detector de la base o active un
pulsador conectado a la zona de detección del módulo.
2. Si el LED de estado y el panel de control no pueden
indicar la realización de una prueba, deben comprobarse
todas las conexiones y debe verificarse la dirección del
módulo.

Descrizione
Il modulo KAL714C consente di collegare quattro zone
convenzionali a un sistema antincendio indirizzabile.
Può essere utilizzato nelle installazioni caratterizzare da aree
estese prive di suddivisioni interne e/o che non richiedono un
riconoscimento preciso del punto di rivelazione.
Un modulo consente di collegare fino a 20 rivelatori
convenzionali per ogni zona e un numero illimitato di dispositivi
di segnalazione manuale o di contatti NA (normalmente aperti)
al sistema di rivelazione incendi.
Installazione
Attenzione: Per istruzioni generali su organizzazione,
progettazione, installazione, messa in servizio, uso e
manutenzione del sistema, fare riferimento alla norma
EN 54:14 e alle normative locali.
Installazione del modulo
Scollegare l'alimentazione del sistema antincendio e installare
il modulo nella custodia protettiva in dotazione.
Collegare il conduttore schermato del cavo loop alla vite di
messa a terra e installare un resistore di fine linea da 4,7 kΩ
alla fine della zona di rilevamento.
L'alimentazione a 24 V per il modulo deve essere fornita da
una fonte di alimentazione ausiliaria.

Indirizzamento

Manutenzione e verifica
La manutenzione di base richiede un controllo annuale. Non
modificare/manipolare il cablaggio o i circuiti interni.
Per testare il modulo:
1. Rimuovere un rivelatore dalla base o attivare un
dispositivo di segnalazione manuale collegato alla zona di
rilevamento del modulo.
2. Se il LED di stato e la centrale antincendio non si attivano
durante il test, controllare tutti i collegamenti e verificare
l’indirizzo del modulo.

Descrição
O KAL714C é utilizado para ligar quatro zonas convencionais
a um sistema de deteção endereçável de incêndios.
O módulo pode ser utilizado em sistemas de deteção sem
subdivisão de área e/ou quando não são necessários dados
exatos de localização.
Um módulo permite ligação até 20 detetores convencionais
por zona e um número ilimitado de sistemas de chamada
manuais ou contactos normalmente abertos (NA) ao sistema
de deteção de incêndios.

Instalação
Cuidado: Para diretrizes gerais sobre planeamento, design,
instalação, comissionamento, utilização e manutenção de
sistemas, consulte a norma EN 54:14 e os regulamentos
locais.
Instalação do módulo
Desligue a fonte de alimentação do sistema de deteção de
incêndios e instale o módulo na caixa protetora fornecida.
Ligue o fio da blindagem do cabo do loop ao parafuso de
ligação à terra e instale a resistência de fim de linha 4,7 kΩna
extremidade da zona de deteção.
A fonte de alimentação de 24 V do módulo deve ser fornecida
por uma alimentação auxiliar.

Endereçamento
Cada módulo exige um endereço numérico com a finalidade

Manutenção e testes
A manutenção básica limita-se a uma inspeção anual. Não

Description
Le module KAL714C permet de connecter quatre zones
conventionnelles à un système de détection d’incendie
adressable.
Il peut être utilisé avec des systèmes de détection ne
comportant pas de subdivision de groupe et/ou lorsqu’il n’est
pas nécessaire de fournir les données exactes d’emplacement.
Un module permet de connecter jusqu’à 20 détecteurs
conventionnels par zone et un nombre illimité de postes
d’alarme incendie manuels ou de contacts normalement
ouverts (NO) au système de détection d’incendie.
Attention: Pour obtenir des instructions générales sur la
planification, la conception, l’installation, le commissionnement,
l’utilisation et la maintenance des systèmes de détection
d’incendie, reportez-vous à la norme EN 54:14 et aux
réglementations locales en vigueur.
Installation du module
Déconnectez l’alimentation du système de détection d’incendie
et installez le module dans le boîtier de protection fourni.
Connectez le fil de garde du câble de la boucle à la vis de terre
et installez une résistance de fin de ligne (FDL) de 4,7 kΩà
l’extrémité de la zone de détection.
L’alimentation de 24 V du module doit être fournie par une
source d’alimentation auxiliaire.

Adressage
Chaque module exige une adresse numérique pour son
identification. Il faut utiliser les dipswitchs de 1 à 8 pour cet
adressage
Le module utilise 4 adresses : L’adresse configurée plus les 3
nombres qui suivent (par exemple 201, 202 et 203 si l’adresse
configurée est 200).
Le module peut être adressé de 128 à 252, en déplaçant les
dipswitchs 1 à 7 et le dipswitch 8 sur OFF.
Pour de plus amples informations, référez-vous aux tables
d'adressage à la fin de ce document.
Remarque: Le module peut être adressé de 1 à 125 pour une
centrale KFP-A, en déplaçant les dipswitchs 1 à 7 et le
dipswitch 8 sur ON.
Attention: Utiliser le DIP switch 8 uniquement avec la
centrale KFP-A. Si vous placer DIP switch 8 sur ON pour
toutes autres centrales, vous risquez de l'endommager ou de
la détruire.
LED d’état
La LED d'état est allumée en continu durant l'alarme.
Maintenance et test
La maintenance de base se limite à une inspection annuelle.
Ne modifiez pas les circuits ou le câblage internes.
Pour tester le module:
1. Retirez la tête d’un détecteur de sa base ou activez un
brise-vitre connecté à la zone de détection du module.
2. Si la LED d’état et la centrale ne signalent pas le test,
vérifiez tous les raccordements ainsi que l’adresse du
module.

Beschrijving
De KAL714C wordt gebruikt om vier conventionele zones op
een adresseerbaar brandmeldsysteem aan te sluiten.
De module kan worden gebruikt in detectiesystemen zonder
onderverdeling van gebieden en/of wanneer er geen exacte
locatiegegevens vereist zijn.
Eén module kan worden gebruikt om maximaal 20
conventionele detectoren per zone en een onbeperkt aantal
handbrandmelders of 'normaal open'-contacten op het
brandmeldsysteem aan te sluiten.
Installatie
Let Op: Raadpleeg de norm EN 54:14 en de plaatselijke
regelgeving voor algemene richtlijnen om meldsystemen te
plannen, te ontwerpen, te installeren, in werking te stellen, te
gebruiken en te onderhouden.
Module installeren
Koppel de voedingseenheid van het brandmeldsysteem los en
monteer de module in de meegeleverde beschermkast.
Sluit de afgeschermde kabel van de lus aan op de
aardeschroef en monteer een EOL-weerstand van 4,7 kΩ op
het uiteinde van de detectiezone.
De voeding van 24 V voor de module moet door een externe
voeding worden geleverd.

module zijn aangegeven in Figuur 1:

Adressering
Elke module heeft een numeriek adres nodig voor identificatie.
Je kan dit instellen via de DIP switches 1 tot 8.
De module gebruikt 4 adressen: Het geconfigureerde adres
plus de volgende drie nummers (bijv. 201, 202 en 203 als het
geconfigureerde adres 200 is).
De module kan geadresseerd worden van 128 tot 252 door
DIP switches 1 tot 7 in ON positie te zetten en DIP switch 8 op
OFF.
Bijkomende informatie vindt u in de adresseringstabellen
achteraan in dit document.
Noot: Door omschakeling van DIP switch 8 naar de ON positie
kan de module ook de adressen 1 tot 125 gebruiken voor de
KFP-A centrales.
Opgelet: Gebruik DIP switch 8 enkel wanneer u werkt met het
KFP-A paneel. Wanneer u DIP switch 8 in ON positie zet bij
gebruik van een ander paneel, kan dit de module beschadigen.
Statuslampje
Het statuslampje brandt tijdens een alarm continu.
Onderhoud en tests
Het basisonderhoud is beperkt tot een jaarlijkse inspectie.
Wijzig nooit de interne bedrading of circuits.
Ga als volgt te werk om de module te testen:
1. Verwijder een detectorkop uit de basis of activeer een
handmatig aanroeppunt dat is aangesloten op de
detectiezone van de module.
2. Als het statuslampje en het controlepaneel hier niet op
reageren, moet u alle verbindingen en het moduleadres
testen.

Popis
KAL714C se používá pro připojení čtyř konvenčních zón
k adresovatelnému protipožárnímu systému.
Modul lze použít v systémech požárních hlásičů bez plošného
členění a/nebo když nejsou požadována přesná data o
umístění.
Jeden modul umožňuje připojení až 20 konvenčních detektorů
na zónu a neomezeného počtu tlačítkových hlásičů nebo
spínacích (NO) kontaktů k systému požárních hlásičů.
Instalace
Upozornění: Obecné pokyny týkající se projektování systému,
designu, instalace, uvedení do provozu, používání a údržby se
vztahují na normu EN 54:14 a místní nařízení.
Instalace modulu
Odpojte napájecí zdroj protipožárního systému a nainstalujte
modul do dodané ochranné skříně.
Připojte stínění kabelu smyčky k uzemňovacímu šroubu a
nainstalujte zakončovací rezistor 4,7 kΩ na konci detekční
zóny.
Napájecí zdroj 24 V modulu musí být vybaven pomocným
napájecím zdrojem.

Adresování
Každý modul vyžaduje adresu pro identifikaci. Adresa je
nastavena DIP spínači 1 až 8.
Modul používá 4 adresy: Nakonfigurovanou adresu plus
následující 3 čísla (např. 201, 202 a 203, pokud je
nakonfigurovaná adresa 200).
Nastavením DIP spínačů 1 až 7 do pozice ON dle tabulky,
modul může mít mít adresu v rozsahu od 128 do 252.
Sepnutím DIP spínače 8 do pozice ON, může být modul také
adresován v rozmezí od 1 do 125 pro použití s ústřednami
KFP-AF.
Pro více informací použijte adresovací tabulky na konci tohoto
dokumentu.
Upozornění: Nepoužívejte DIP spínač č. 8 s jinými ústřednami
než KFP-A. Pokud přepnete DIP spínač.č. 8 do pozice ON s
jakýmkoliv jiným typem ústředny, může dojít k poškození nebo
zničení modulu.
Stavový indikátor
Stavový indikátor svítí trvale při poplachu.
Údržba a zkoušení
Základní údržba se omezuje na kontrolu prováděnou jednou za
rok. Neupravujte vnitřní vedení ani obvody.
Zkoušení modulu:
1. Vyjměte hlavici detektoru ze základny, nebo aktivujte
tlačítkový hlásič, připojený k detekční zóně modulu.
2. Pokud stavový indikátor a ovládací panel neindikují test,
měly by být zkontrolovány všechny spoje a ověřena
adresa modulu.

Opis
KAL714C używany jest do podłączania czterech
konwencjonalnych linii do adresowalnego systemu
pożarowego.
Moduł może być wykorzystywany w systemach wykrywania
bez dalszego podziału obszaru i/lub kiedy nie jest wymagana
dokładna lokalizacja zdarzenia.
Jednego modułu można użyć do podłączenia maksymalnie 20
konwencjonalnych detektorów na strefę oraz nieograniczonej
liczby ręcznych ostrzegaczy pożarowych lub styków NO do
systemu wykrywania pożarów.
Montaż
Uwaga: Ogólne wytyczne odnośnie planowania, projektu,
instalacji, zlecania, obsługi i konserwacji systemu zawarto w
normie EN 54:14 i lokalnych przepisach.
Instalacja modułu
Odłącz napięcie zasilające systemu pożarowego i zainstaluj
moduł w dostarczonej obudowie.
Podłącz ekran kabla pętli do śruby uziemiającej oraz rezystor
końca linii 4,7 kΩ na końcu linii.
Moduł wymaga zewnętrznego źródła zasilania 24V.

Adresowanie
Każdy moduł wymaga ustawienia adresu w celu identyfikacji.
Adres ustawia się za pomocą przełączników DIP od 1 do 8.
Moduł korzysta z czterech adresów: skonfigurowanego adresu
plus trzech następnych numerów (np. 201, 202 i 203, jeśli
skonfigurowany adres to 200).
Ustawiając przełączniki DIP o numerach od 1 do 7 w
pozycji ON moduł może uzyskać adres od 128 do 252.

znajdującą się na końcu niniejszego dukumentu.
Notatka: Ustawiając przełącznik DIP 8 w pozycji ON moduł
może także uzyskać adres od 1 do 125, ale tylko przy
współpracy z centralą KFP-A
Uwaga: Proszę nie używać przełącznika DIP nr 8 z panelami
innimi niż KFP-A. Ustawienie przełącznika DIP nr 8 w pozycji
ON z innym typem panelu może spowodować uszkodzenie lub
zniszczenie modułu.
Wskaźnik diodowy LED
Podczas alarmu wskaźnik LED świeci w sposób ciągły .
Konserwacja i testowanie
Konserwacja podstawowa została ograniczona do corocznej
kontroli. Nie wolno modyfikować wewnętrznych połączeń i
obwodów.
W celu przetestowania modułu:
1. Usuń detektor z podstawy lub aktywuj ręczny ostrzegacz
pożarowy podłączony do linii modułu.
2. Jeśli diodowy wskaźnik LED i centrala nie zasygnalizują
wykonanego testu, należy sprawdzić wszystkie połączenia
i zweryfikować adres modułu.

Leírás
A KAL714C segítségével négy hagyományos zóna
kapcsolható egy címezhető tűzjelző rendszerhez.
A modul alterületekre nem osztott érzékelőrendszerekben
használható, ahol nincs szükség pontos helymeghatározási
adatokra.
Egy modullal zónánként 20 hagyományos érzékelő és korlátlan
számú kézi jelzésadó vagy alaphelyzetben nyitott kontaktusú
(NO) tűzriasztó kapcsolható a rendszerbe.
Felszerelés
Vigyázat: A rendszer tervezésére, kialakítására,
felszerelésére, próbaüzemére, használatára és
karbantartására vonatkozó általános alapelveket az EN 54:14
számú szabvány és a helyi előírások szabják meg.
A modul felszerelése
Kapcsolja le a tűzoltórendszer tápegységét, és szerelje be a
modult a hozzá mellékelt védődobozba.
Csatlakoztassa a hurokkábel árnyékolóhuzalját a
földelőcsavarra, és szereljen fel egy 4,7 kΩ-os lezáró
ellenállást az érzékelőzóna végére.
A modul 24 V-os tápfeszültségét külső áramforrásról kell
biztosítani.

Címzés
Minden modulnak szüksége van egy azonosító címre. Ez a
cím a DIP switch 1-8 kapcsolóival állítható.
A modul négy címet használ: a beállított címet és az azt követő
három számot (ha például a 200-as címet állította be, akkor
ezek a 201, 202 és 203).
A DIP switch 1-7 kapcsolóit ON állásba kapcsolva, a modul
128-tól 252-ig bármely számra címezhető.
A címzéshez tartozó egyéb információkat megtalálja ennek

Jegyzet: A 8-as DIP kapcsolót ON pozícióba kapcsolva, a
modul 1 és 125 közötti címre is állítható, ha KFP-A
központokhoz kívánjuk használni.
Upozornění: Nepoužívejte DIP spínač č. 8 s jinými ústřednami
než KFP-A. Pokud přepnete DIP spínač.č. 8 do pozice ON s
jakýmkoliv jiným typem ústředny, může dojít k poškození nebo
zničení modulu.
Állapotjelző LED
Az állapotjelző LED riasztáskor folyamatosan világít.
Karbantartás és ellenőrzés
Az alapkarbantartás egy évenkénti ellenőrzésre van
korlátozva. Ne módosítsa a belső kábelezést vagy az áramköri
kapcsolást.
A modul ellenőrzése:
1. Szereljen le egy érzékelőfejet a tartójáról, vagy nyomjon
meg a modul érzékelőzónájában egy kézi jelzésadót.
2. Ha az állapotjelző LED és a kezelőpult nem a kellő módon
reagál, ellenőrizze az összes csatlakozót és modulcímet.
