Introduction
Read all safety and operation instructions before using the Wireless Bluetooth
headphones.
Warning: To reduce the risk of re or electric shock, do not expose the product
to water or moisture.
Important Safety Instructions
Read all safety and operation instructions before using the headphones.
1. Do not expose the headphones to liquid, moisture or areas of high
humidity.
2. Do not use abrasive cleaners to clean the headphones’s case as they may
damage the unit. Always unplug and power o the unit before cleaning.
3. Do not expose the headphones to extremely high or low temperatures.
4. Keep the unit away from direct sunlight.
5. Use only accessories and attachments as supplied and designated in the
instruction manual.
6. Do not attempt to open or modify the headphones in any way.
7. Store the headphones in a cool dry place.
8. The Kinivo URBN headphones contains a lithium ion battery. Lithium ion
batteries are ammable and can cause re if misused or defective.
9. Always dispose of the packaging and unit in accordance with the local
regulations and in a responsible manner.

Powering On
Slide the power switch to turn the headphones on or o. Music will pause when
the headphones are powered o. If the headphones have not been paired to a
device, the headphones will enter pairing mode when powered on.
Bluetooth Pairing with NFC
1. Ensure that the Kinivo URBN is turned on by holding the Play/Pause button.
2. Tap your NFC-enabled* device to the NFC tag on the Kinivo URBN
headband. Follow instructions on your device to complete setup.
*Applicable only for NFC-enabled devices.

Bluetooth Pairing for All Devices
1. Ensure that the Kinivo URBN is powered on by pressing and holding the
Play/Pause button on the headphones for 6 seconds.
2. Follow the operating instructions of your Bluetooth device (see below) to
pair to the headphones.
3. If prompted for a passkey or PIN, enter “0000” (four zeros).
4. Once paired and connected, there will be a connect tone and the LED will
be solid blue.
Locate and pair to “Kinivo URBN” on your computer or mobile device:
Windows Vista, 7, 8.1, and 10
a. From the system tray’s Bluetooth menu, choose “Add a Device”.
b. When “Kinivo URBN” appears in the list of available devices, double-click it
and wait for Windows to congure it.
Windows 8
a. Find and open “Add a Bluetooth Device” using the Search charm.
b. Click “Kinivo URBN”in the device list, then click “Pair”.
Mac OS
a. From the Bluetooth menu, choose “Open Bluetooth Preferences”
b. Click the “Pair” button beside “Kinivo URBN”.
Apple iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch
Settings > Bluetooth (On) > then select “Kinivo URBN”to pair.
Android
Settings > Wireless & Networks > Bluetooth Settings (enabled) > Scan for
Devices, then select “Kinivo URBN”to pair.

Adjust Volume
Press the Volume Up or Volume Down button to increase or decrease volume. A
tone will sound on each press of the volume buttons, with a dierent tone when
the volume is at minimum or maximum.
Auxiliary Input
Connect the 3.5mm audio cable to the headphones and to another audio
source. Bluetooth is disabled when the 3.5mm audio cable is connected to the
Kinivo URBN.
Charging Kinivo URBN Headphones
To charge the Kinivo URBN headphones, connect the Micro USB cable to the
Kinivo URBN and plug the headphones into a USB power source. USB power
sources include computers, laptops, USB hubs, USB AC adapters and USB car
chargers.
When the Kinivo URBN is charging, the red light will be lit. When the battery is
fully charged, the light will turn o. The charging process can take up to 3 hours
to charge the battery completely. When the Kinivo URBN has a low battery and
it is powered on, the red light will blink once every ve seconds.

Factory Reset
Warning: Performing a factory reset on the Kinivo URBN will delete any
previous pairings and will restore the headphones to factory default settings.
Only perform this if you are experiencing any issues with the product.
1. Power on the Kinivo URBN Headphones. If they connect to a device,
disconnect the Kinivo URBN from your device.
2. In standby mode, press and hold the volume up and volume down buttons
for 8 seconds and release it when the red and blue LEDs ash alternately.
Note: After the factory reset is completed, the memory is cleared. When turning
on the headphones again, it will enter pairing mode automatically. Re-pair and
connect with your device.

Troubleshooting
1. Unable to pair with smartphone or tablet
Ensure that the headphones are in pairing mode by pressing and holding the
Play/Pause button for 4 seconds until the LED blinks red and blue. The Kinivo
URBN is now in pairing mode.
Now open the Bluetooth conguration on your smartphone or tablet and scan
for Bluetooth devices. You should see the Kinivo URBN headphones - proceed
to pair and connect to the headphones.
2. Kinivo URBN no longer connects to my device
To ensure the Kinivo URBN headphones are in working order, perform a factory
reset. Hold down the volume up and volume down buttons for 8 seconds and
release it when the red and blue LEDs ash alternately. Then try to pair your
device to it again.
3. Kinivo URBN works with my smartphone but not my
computer
The URBN headphones need to be supported by a Bluetooth adapter in your
computer. To ensure the Bluetooth adapter for your computer is functioning
correctly, update the drivers to the latest version. In addition, you may need to
verify that your computer’s Bluetooth adapter supports A2DP (Advanced Audio
Distribution Prole), and/or AVRCP (Audio/Video Remote Control Prole).

4. Lost or damaged USB cable
If you have lost or damaged the included USB cable, you can use any standard
Micro USB charger/cable to charge the Kinivo URBN Headphones.
5. Kinivo URBN works with my smartphone but not my
computer
The Bluetooth adapter for your computer provides the drivers for all Bluetooth
headphones. To ensure the Bluetooth adapter for your computer is functioning
correctly, update the drivers to the latest version. In addition, you may need to
verify that your Bluetooth adapter supports A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution
Prole). If you need assistance with locating the drivers for your computer, you
may contact Kinivo Support on the web via support@kinivo.com.
6. Error messages when connecting on Mac OS
Verify that the Kinivo URBN Headphones are powered on. If you are still unable
to connect, restart the computer and remove the Kinivo URBN from the
Bluetooth device list. Try to pair the headphones again.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. What is the Kinivo URBN compatible with?
In general, the Kinivo URBN will work with devices that support the A2DP
(Advanced Audio Distribution Prole). A list of common devices that support

these Bluetooth proles:
Apple devices- iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, Bluetooth enabled Mac computers
- Mac Pro, MacBook, iMac, MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, etc.
Bluetooth enabled Windows computers (Windows 10, Windows 8,
Windows 7 and Vista) Tablets - Windows, Apple, Android, Kindle Fire HD.
Smartphones - Android, Blackberry, Windows, Samsung, Droids, HTC, etc.
2. Where can I nd Windows drivers for the URBN
Headphones?
The Kinivo URBN does not have any specic drivers. The computer side drivers
are provided by the computer’s Bluetooth adapter (see the rst question above).
If you are experiencing issues with the headphones on a computer, update your
computer’s Bluetooth drivers to the latest version. You may also contact Kinivo
Support for assistance in locating the right drivers for your computer.
3. How many Bluetooth connections will the Kinivo URBN
headphones remember?
The Kinivo URBN will remember only one previous Bluetooth connection. When
the Kinivo URBN is powered on, it will automatically connect to the last device
it was connected to.
4. Help! I’m unable to use the headphones. What should
I do?
Please view the Troubleshooting section. If you are unable to nd a solution you
can contact support online via support@kinivo.com.

Warranty
1 Year Limited Hardware Warranty.
Kinivo hereby warrants to the customer of record that this product is in good-
working condition and free from defects in material or workmanship under
normal use for a duration of 1 year after the date of purchase. The product has
been tested to meet the highest quality standards in each testing category. In
the unlikely event that the product proves to be defective, Kinivo will repair or
replace the product free of charge. If replacement is required and if Kinivo then
no longer carries the same product, then Kinivo reserves the right to substitute
the product with a replacement product of like quality and size, suitable for the
intended use.
This warranty is limited to repair or replacement of the mentioned product
only, is non-transferable and does not extend to any product damaged by
misuse, natural disasters or any other circumstances beyond Kinivo’s control.
The warranty does not cover or provide for the reimbursement or payment
of incidental or consequential damage resulting from breach of the limited
warranty described above. Except for the limited warranty described above we
oer no other warranties expressed or implied, and other than limited warranty
expressly contained herein, we hereby disclaim any and all warranties, including
without limitation any implied warranties of merchantability, suitability or
tness for a particular purpose.
