The Klaxon Twist can be updated from the Klaxon Web App through its Wi-Fi connection.
Following in the text some useful notes that will help to complete the procedure correctly:
•Before starting the procedure please keep in mind that with User Device the guide is always referring to the
phone, laptop or tablet where the Klaxon Webapp is used;
•This operation requires that the User Device has a stable Internet connection;
•If the Twist to be updated has a version that is older than 1.3.0 it will be necessary to follow a slightly
different procedure to update it. This different procedure will only need to be followed once; future updates
will follow the standard procedure;
•Before performing an update make sure that the internet connection is stable and that the Twist has at least
25% battery remaining. The Twist will not be usable while it is performing an update;
•An update can take several minutes to complete.
•Do not restart the Twist while the update is being installed.

During the procedure it will be necessary to have the Webapp connected either to the internet or to the Twist
Access Point.
The type of connection required will be indicated with the following symbols that will be present on the involved
pages.Please proceed in switching to the correct type of connection following the indication in the text.

Before being able to check for updates, the Twist must have been connected to the Web App on the device at
least once. This is explained in detail in the relevant section of the guide.
It is important that it is the same user device (phone, tablet or laptop) used for the connection.

To start the update procedure the Web App should be
disconnected from the Twist and connected to the internet.
It is possible to check the availability of an update by
opening the side menu.
If an update is available a red dot will be shown besides the
“Update” page, like in the image.

•To start the update procedure, open the “Update”
page.
•Once the page is open the update can be
downloaded on the User Device. Tap on “Download
Update” to save the update on the user device.
•After the update is downloaded the page will
change to show the “Update” button.

Now the update needs to be transferred to the Twist so
that it can be installed.
•Connect the Twist to the Web App normally, after the
Twist is connected the connection symbol on the top
right will be green and the Web App will automatically
show the dashboard.
•Open again the “Update” page from the side menu.
•Then click on the “Update” button to transfer the
update to the Twist.

This operation will take several seconds to complete. A
progress bar is shown in the page.
The transfer is completed only when the green message
in the second image is shown, do not restart the device
until the message is shown.

Now shut down the Twist, then wait a few seconds and restart it.
After the Twist is restarted some sequences of sounds will be heard. The number of sequences may vary
depending on the number of updates performed but the sound structure will remain the same.
After restarting the Twist, when an update has been transferred successfully, the following sounds will be heard:
•2 short beeps (Twist is powered on)
•Short pause
•4 short beeps (Update has started)
•1/2/3 short beeps (Update type: 1=Drive module, 2=Connectivity module, 3=Drive parameters)
•Long pause
•2 short beeps (Update completed, Twist will be restarted automatically)
The previous sequence of sounds can be repeated up to 3 times as all the 3 different firmware components are
updated.

To check if an update is completed it is possible to power on a command previously paired with the Twist.
If the update is completed the command will connect and the Twist can be used normally, otherwise it will be
necessary to wait.
Do not restart the Twist while the update is being installed.
