SelectthesuitableairductandapplytheflangeCsupplied,
ensuretoclosetheunusedholeductwithtapDsupplied
ifprovided.
Caution! In some models the rear hole duct is not easily
accessible,evenwhenthetap(ifmounted)isremoved,in
thiscaseremovetheplasticpieceE1orE2thatisblocking
theholeduct,byunwindingusingpliersandcutter. Check
thatthefilter/suctionselector(insidethecookerhood)G
is in the suction (A) position. In the case where it is not
possible to discharge the cooking fumes externally, the
cookerhoodmaybeusedin the filter version by fixing a
carbon filter, the fumes and vapours are recycled via the
anteriorgrillplacedabovethecontrolpanel. Checkthatthe
suction/filter selector isin the filter (F) position.
The models provided without suction motor may function
only in the suction version and must be connected to a
peripheralsuctionunit(notsupplied).
Electrical connection: The electrical tension must
correspondtothetensionnotedonthelabelplacedinside
thecookerhood.Connecttheelectricalplug,whereprovided,
to the an easily accessible outlet in conformity with local
standardsinforce.
Whereanelectricalplugisprovided(fordirectconnection
toelectrical network) placea standards approvedbipolar
switch with an aperture distance of not less than 3mm
(accessible)fromthecontacts.
Installation: Thecookerhoodmustbeplacedataminimum
distance of 65 cm from the cooking plane for electric
cookers, gas or mixed cookers. The cooker
hood may be installed on the wall or on the base of a
cabinet;ifsupplied,usetheholegaugeHtodrillthecorrect
distance,otherwiseleanthecookerhoodonthewalloron
thebaseofthecabinetandmarktheholeswithapencil(at
least3holesofØ8mmforwallmountingor4holesofØ8mm
for cabinet base mounting – in some cases the 4 fixing
screws for cabinet mounting are placed in the Icontainer
situated inside the cooker hood, in any case the screws
mustberemoved topreventnoiseduringoperation).
Wall mounting : insert the wall screw anchors Jin the
drilledholesandthetwoKscrewsintheupperdrillholes,
removethegrillandhookthecookerhoodtothe2screws,
finallyfromtheinside,insertthethirdscrewLandlockthem
allin.
Cabinetfixing: affixthecookerhoodwiththe4Mscrews
frominsidethecabinet.
Caution: This appliance is designed to be operated by
adults.Children should notbeallowed to tamperwith the
controlsorplaywiththeappliance.
Donotusethecookerhoodwherethegrillisnotcorrectly
fixed! Thesuctionedairmustnotbeconveyedinthesame
channelusedforfumesdischargedbyappliancespowered
byotherthanelectricity. Theenvironmentmustalwaysbe
adequately aerated when the cooker hood and other
appliancespoweredbyotherthanelectricityareusedatthe
sametime. Flambécookingwithacookerhoodisprohibited.
Theuseofafreeflameisdamagingtothefiltersandmay
causefireaccidents,thereforefreeflamecookingmustbe
avoided. Fryingoffoodsmustbekeptunderclosecontrol
in order to avoid overheated oil catching fire. Carry out
fumes discharging in accordance with the regulations in
forcebylocallawsforsafetyandtechnicalrestrictions.
Operation: Thecontrolpanelissituatedonthefrontright
of the cooker hood and is equipped with various suction
speeds. Usethehighestspeedforsituationsofhighlevel
vapourconcentrationincooking.Alwaysopenthevapour
collectorN(Somemodelshaveanadjustabletotheright
orleftObutton). Itisadvisabletoswitchonthesuctionat
least5minutespriortocookingandleaveitinoperationfor
15minutesapproximatelyaftercookingisterminated.
Maintenance
Priortoanymaintenanceworkdisconnectthecooker
hood from the electrical connection.
Grease Filter – may be one of the following types:
Paperfiltermustbereplacedonceamonthorifcoloured
onthetopside,whenthecolorationisevidentviatheholes
inthegrill.
Sponge filter should be washed once a month and
replacedevery5/6washes.
Metallicfiltermustbecleanedonceamonthwithsuitable
detergentseitherbyhandor in dishwasher(65°C).
InordertoremovethegreasefilteropenthegrillviatheP
hooksandfreethe R1orR2stoppers.
Carbon Filter (only for filter versions)
Theactive carbon filter isnot washable nor regenerative.
Theactivecarbonfilter traps unpleasant cooking odours.
Mountedinsidethecookerhoodcoveringthemotorprotector
grill–itmaybe one ofthefollowingtypes:
Rectangular S1 or S2: tobereplacedevery6 months
Affixing:inserttherearsideTandhookfurthertothefront
(U).
Circular (V-various models): to be replaced every 4
months.
Bayonetmountpositionthefilterinthemiddleofthemotor
protectiongrillcoveringensuringthatthereferencetoX1or
X2orX3onthecarbonfiltermatchtheY1orY2references
ontheconveyor,thenturnclockwise;incaseofdismounting
turn anticlockwise, if provided with a Ztape remember to
gentlyliftfirst.
Lightbulbreplacement:Unscrewthedamagedlightbulb
and replace with an incandescent oval light bulb with a
maximumof 40W E14.Removethe grill inorder to reach
thelightbulb area.
Cleaning: The cooker hood should be cleaned regularly
internallyandexternally.
Forcleaninguseaclothmoistenedwithdenaturedalcohol
orneutralliquiddetergents. Avoidabrasivedetergents.
Failuretocarryoutthebasicstandardsofthe cleaningof
thecookerhood andreplacementofthefiltersmay
causefirerisks.
