Before You Begin
Please read all instructions before you begin.
Observe all local plumbing and building codes.
Shut off the main water supply.
Do not remove the thread protectors until instructed to.
Before installation, unpack the components and inspect them for
damage. Return the components to the carton until you are ready
to install.
Kohler Co. reserves the right to make revisions in the design of
faucets without notice, as specified in the Price Book.

1. Prepare for Installation
NOTE: For bath-only and shower-only installations, seal the unused
outlet with the plug provided.
When the trim will include a slip-fit bath spout, 1/2″tubing must
extend 1-1/2″(3.8 cm) minimum to 2-7/8″(7.3 cm) maximum
beyond the finished wall at the bath spout location.
When the bath spout is threaded, the nipple must extend 3-7/8″
(9.8 cm) beyond the finished wall at the bath spout location.
Determine the installation location of the valve and install
support framing as needed.

2. Install the Yoke
NOTE: The yoke has two-sided pipe adapters that can be reversed
for use with either 1/2” pipe or copper tubing.
Connect the water supply lines to the supply yoke so the
installed water supplies will be between 2″(2.5 cm) and 3-1/2”
(8.9 cm) from the finished wall.
3. Install the Valve - Ceiling Installations
IMPORTANT! Perform these steps for ceiling installations only.
Remove the aspirator, plaster guards, and valve units from the
yoke.
Turn the yoke upside down.
Install the aspirator into the bath outlet of the yoke.
Reinstall the valve units, being sure to install the gray-stemmed
valve on the right side. The ″D″on the valve must point
downward.
Reinstall the plaster guards.

4. Complete the Valve Installation
NOTE: This section applies to all valve installation styles.
IMPORTANT! For bath-only or shower-only installations: Remove
and discard the aspirator. Apply thread sealant to a plug and install
it into the yoke in place of the shower or bath piping.
IMPORTANT! Use thread sealant on all threaded connections.
Plumb using 1/2″copper tubing, elbows, and adapters.
Secure the bath and/or shower piping to the support framing and
install temporary nipples.
If a slip-fit spout will be installed, the temporary nipple should
extend at least 6″(15.2 cm) beyond the finished wall.
If the valve and aspirator were removed for soldering, reinstall
them.
Install caps on the temporary nipples.
Turn on the hot and cold water supplies, and check for leaks.
Turn the valve off.

5. Install the Handles
Complete the finished wall.
Remove and discard the plaster guards.
Apply a ring of plumbers putty or other sealant around the edge
of the escutcheons according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Install the escutcheons over the threaded sleeves.
Align the escutcheons on the wall.
Turn the threaded sleeves into the valve bodies.
Carefully remove any excess putty or sealant from around the
escutcheons.

6. Install the Spout
Threaded Spout Installation
Remove the temporary nipple.
Apply thread sealant to the 1/2″nipple threads on both ends.
Install a 1/2″nipple to extend 3-7/8″(9.8 cm) beyond the
finished wall.
Apply a bead of plumbers putty or other sealant around the inlet
of the spout according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Carefully tighten the spout with a clean strap wrench and remove
all excess putty.
Flush hot and cold water through the spout for one minute.
Slip-Fit Spout Installation
Remove the temporary nipple.
Apply thread sealant and install a 1/2″copper tube so it extends
1-1/2″(3.8 cm) to 2-7/8″(7.3 cm) beyond the finished wall.
Deburr the copper tubing.
Loosen the setscrew with a 5/32″hex wrench.
Apply a bead of plumbers putty or other sealant around the inlet
end of the spout according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Install the spout and carefully retighten the setscrew. Do not
overtighten the setscrew.
Remove all excess putty.

7. Install the Showerhead
CAUTION: Risk of product damage. To avoid plugging the
showerhead spray outlets, use thread sealant tape on the shower
arm threads. Do not use thread sealant compound (pipe dope).
Remove the temporary nipple.
Apply a bead of plumbers putty or other sealant to the
escutcheon according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Slide the escutcheon over the shower arm.
Apply thread sealant on the shower arm threads and thread the
shower arm into the elbow.
Tighten with a clean strap wrench. Do not overtighten.
Flush the system for one minute.
Apply thread sealant to the shower arm threads, and thread the
showerhead onto the shower arm. Tighten securely.
Remove all excess putty.
8. Complete the Installation
Make sure all the connections are tight.
Open the drain.
Turn on the main water supply and check for leaks.
Open the hot and cold valves and check for leaks.
Run the water for about a minute and turn off.

1. Se préparer pour l’installation
REMARQUE : Pour des installations de baignoire et de douche
uniquement, obturer l’orifice inutilisé à l’aide du bouchon inclus.
Lorsque la garniture comprendra un bec en T fendu, une
tuyauterie de 1/2″devra s’étendre de 1-1/2″(3,8 cm) minimum à
2-7/8″(7,3 cm) maximum au-delà du mur fini à l’emplacement
du bec de baignoire.
Lorsque le bec de baignoire est fileté, le mamelon doit s’étendre
de 3-7/8″(9,8 cm) au-delà du mur fini à l’emplacement du bec de
baignoire.
Déterminer l’emplacement du robinet et installer une ossature
d’appui au besoin.
