Before You Begin
CAUTION: Risk of personal injury. Cast iron lavatories are
extremely heavy. Wear appropriate safety equipment when
installing this product.
Observe all local plumbing codes.
Prior to installation, unpack the new lavatory and beaded curtain
and inspect for damage. Return the lavatory and beaded curtain
to their protective cartons until you are ready to install them.
Inspect the drain supply tubing. Replace if necessary.
These instructions are for installing the lavatory to wood frame
construction. For other installations, supply suitable bracing and
fastening devices of sufficient size and strength.
The walls and floor must be square, plumb, and level.
If possible, assemble the drain to the lavatory before installing the
lavatory.
Kohler reserves the right to make revisions in the design of
accessories without notice, as specified in the price book.

1. Preparation
Install the water supplies and drain piping according to the
roughing-in information.
For the Kohler recommended lavatory height of 34″(86.4 cm) the
centerline of the wall bracing must be 31-1/4″(79.4 cm) from the
finished floor.
Install 2x8 wall bracing behind the finished wall to provide
material for securing the lavatory to the wall.
Install the finished wall material over the wall bracing.
For the Kohler recommended lavatory height of 34″(86.4 cm) the
top mounting holes centerline is 32-9/16″(82.7 cm) from the
finished floor.
Use a pencil to mark four anchoring hole locations as shown.

2. Install the Lavatory
CAUTION: Risk of personal injury and product damage.
Support the lavatory during installation. The mounting slots
alone cannot support the lavatory.
CAUTION: Risk of product damage. Do not overtighten the
hardware. Overtightening may damage the lavatory or finished
wall.
Install the drain to the lavatory according to the manufacturer’s
instructions.
Drill 5/32″holes in the center of each mounting hole mark.
Partially install two lag screws and washers into the inside
(bottom) holes drilled in the wall.
Hand tighten the lag screws to support the lavatory.
Verify that the lavatory is level. Adjust if needed.
Carefully tighten the lag screws. To avoid scratching the finish, do
not overtighten the screws.
If the lag screw finish becomes damaged during installation,
carefully apply touch-up paint (included) to the lag screw head as
needed. Follow the instructions on the bottle.
Connect and tighten the trap to the drain.
Run water into the lavatory and check for leaks.

3. Install the Curtain
Remove the curtain from its packaging.
Grasp each end of the curtain rod.
From the underside of the lavatory, firmly push the rod up into
the four pre-assembled clips
Install the second curtain in the same manner to the opposite side
of the lavatory.

Avant de commencer
ATTENTION : Risque de blessure corporelle. Les lavabos en
fonte sont très lourds. Utiliser l’équipement de sécurité
nécessaire lors de l’installation de ce produit.
Respecter les codes de plomberie locaux.
Avant l’installation, déballer le nouveau lavabo et le rideau de
perles et inspecter pour en déceler tout dommage. Remettre le
lavabo et le rideau de perles dans leurs emballages de protection
jusqu’à l’installation.
Inspecter la tuyauterie d’alimentation du drain. Remplacer si
nécessaire.

Ces instructions sont pour l’installation d’un lavabo sur une
construction du cadrage en bois. Pour d’autres installations,
fournir un renforcement approprié et des dispositifs de fixation
de dimension et résistance suffisantes.
Les murs et le sol doivent être d’équerre, d’aplomb, et nivelés.
Si possible, assembler le drain au lavabo avant d’installer celui-ci.
Kohler se réserve le droit d’apporter des modifications au design
des accessoires sans préavis, tel que spécifié dans le catalogue des
prix.

1. Préparation
Installer les alimentations d’eau et tuyaux de drain selon
l’information du plan de raccordement.
Pour une hauteur de lavabo recommandée par Kohler de 34″
(86,4 cm), l’axe du support mural doit être à 31-1/4″(79,4 cm) du
sol fini.
Installer un renforcement mural de2x8derrière le mur fini afin
de pouvoir sécuriser le lavabo au mur.
Installer le matériau du mur fini sur le renforcement.
Pour une hauteur de lavabo recommandée par Kohler de 34″
(86,4 cm), l’axe des orifices de fixation supérieurs doit être à
32-9/16″(82,7 cm) du sol fini.
Marquer comme indiqué l’emplacement des quatre orifices
d’ancrage à l’aide d’un crayon.

2. Installer le lavabo
ATTENTION : Risque de dommage corporel ou
d’endommagement du produit. Supporter le lavabo pendant
l’installation. Les rainures de fixations seules ne peuvent pas
supporter le lavabo.
ATTENTION : Risque d’endommagement du produit. Ne pas
trop serrer les pièces. Le serrage excéssif pourrait endommager
le lavabo ou le mur fini.
Installer le drain au lavabo selon les instructions du fabricant.
Percer des orifices de 5/32″au centre de chaque repère d’orifice
de fixation.
Installer partiellement deux tire-fonds et rondelles à l’intérieur
des trous percés dans le mur.
Serrer à la main les tire-fonds pour supporter le lavabo.
Vérifier que le lavabo soit nivelé. Régler au besoin.
Serrer délicatement les tire-fonds. Afin d’éviter les rayures de la
finition, ne pas trop serrer les vis.
Si la finition des tire-fonds a été endommagée lors de
l’installation, retoucher avec soin la peinture (peinture de
retouche fournie) de la tête des tire-fonds, au besoin. Suivre les
directives inscrites sur la bouteille.
Raccorder le siphon au drain et serrer.
Laisser couler l’eau dans le lavabo et vérifier s’il y a des fuites.

3. Installer le rideau
Retirer le rideau de son emballage.
Saisir chaque extrémité de la tringle à rideaux.
D’en dessous du lavabo, presser fermement la tringle dans les
quatre clips pré-assemblés.
Installer le second rideau de la même manière à l’opposé du
lavabo.
