1 Introduction
1.1 Product overview
Thank you for purchasing the AIRe Lens (Assisted Industrial Reality).
AIRe Lens is a head-mounted display that keeps work information in front of the eye of the wearer, to maxi-
mize efficiency.
Be sure to read the contents of this manual before using this product. To ensure safe and efficient use of this
product, carefully read the contents of this manual and use this product accordingly. Keep the manual in a
safe place for future reference as required.
Unauthorized reproduction of the contents of this manual, whether in part or their entirety, is prohibited. Note
that the specifications and other contents of this manual are subject to change without notice.

This section provides precautions that should be observed and followed to ensure safety whenever the prod-
uct is handled. Before turning on power, be sure to read this information and use the product correctly.
NOTICE
Keep this manual in a safe place so it can be viewed whenever necessary.
Whenever using this product, be sure to use it correctly in accordance with the information provided in this
manual.

WARNING
Use only the provided cable, batteries, charger, and other accessories,
or separately sold specified items. Do not use any accessory that is not
specified by KONICA MINOLTA. Use of a non-specified accessory or
item may cause the risk of overheating, ignition, explosion, leaking, and
malfunction.
Do not use a cable that is damaged.
Doing so may cause the risk of fire and electric shock.
Do not use or store the product in an environment where may exceed its
operating temperature range (-10°C to 35°C).
Also avoid subjecting the product to sudden temperature changes.
Such conditions may cause the risk of fire, damage, misoperation, and
malfunction.
Do not use this product while it is covered by a blanket or other similar
material.
Doing so may cause the risk of heat build-up and fire.
Do not leave this product in an area where there are large amounts of
moisture and/or dust (in a food preparation area or bathroom, near a hu-
midifier, etc.), or where it is exposed to contact with oil smoke and
steam.
Failure to do so may cause the risk of fire and electric shock.
Do not place any liquid filled containers near this product.
Spilled water or other liquid getting into this product may cause the risk
of fire and electric shock.

Using the product
Do not allow the head mount display (HMD) or glasses to be exposed to
direct sunlight for long periods.
Doing so may cause the risk of ignition, explosion and fire due to sunlight
to be concentrated by the lens.
If a full charge is not achieved within the prescribed charging time, stop
charging.
Continued charging may cause the risk of explosion, ignition, leaking,
and overheating.
When cleaning this product, first be sure to disconnect the USB cable,
external connector cables, and all wiring, and remove the batteries.
Failure to do so may cause the risk of electric shock.
Battery fluid getting into the eyes may cause loss of sight. Thoroughly
rinse the eyes with clean water such as tap water without rubbing, and
then immediately contact a physician.
If battery fluid gets onto the skin or clothing, immediately rinse with clean
water such as tap water.
Battery fluid may cause the risk of skin irritation.
CAUTION
Do not leave the product in a location where it is subjected to vibration
and/or impact.
Such conditions may cause the risk of damage, injury, and malfunction.

Do not allow foreign objects to get inside the product and do not insert
them into connectors.
Doing so may cause the risk of fire and malfunction due to connectors to
be short-circuited.
Do not throw the product into fire or otherwise subject it to overheat.
Keep this product away from candles and other heat generating devices.
Heat may cause the risk of ignition, explosion and fire.
Do not try to take this product apart or modify it in any way.
Doing so may cause the risk of electric shock, injury, and malfunction.
Do not use the power supply voltage that is not required.
Doing so may cause the risk of fire and electric shock.
Do not allow the camera lens to be exposed to direct sunlight for long
periods. Doing so may cause the risk of ignition, explosion and fire due
to sunlight to be concentrated by the lens.
Observe the precautions below when handling the power plug of the
charger.
Failure to do so may cause the risk of fire, electric shock, and malfunc-
tion.
• Do not plug into an outlet shared with other multiple devices.
• Do not plug in if there is dust or other foreign matter on the plug.
• Do not plug in or unplug while hands are wet.
• Do not unplug by pulling on the cable.

Product abnormalities
CAUTION
Do not touch the area around the battery terminals. In certain cases, bat-
teries may be damaged and overheated by electrostatic charge. If over-
heating is detected, take care to avoid burn injury and contact the
KONICA MINOLTA Information Desk.
Do not allow the wireless adapter connected to this product to remain in
contact with the skin for long periods.
Adapter temperature may become high during use, causing the risk of
burn injury.
Do not press the power button for more than eight seconds to turn off.
Forcing the product to power down may causes stored data and settings
to be deleted.
Do not remove the two batteries at the same time while this product is
turned on.
It will cut off power and may causing stored data and settings to be de-
leted.
Do not remove a battery whose indicator is lit or flashing at low speed will
cut off power.

Keep the control box (C-BOX) attached to the shoulder strap while in use.
Make sure there is no load on the cable during use.
Failure to do so may cause the risk of injury and accident due to the con-
trol box (C-BOX) and/or the head mount display (HMD) to be detached
and fall by the load.
When multiple individuals are using a single device, keep surface areas
that come into contact with skin clean.
Touch a nearby metal object (such as a doorknob) to discharge electro-
static charge before touching this product or its batteries.
Electrostatic charge may cause the risk of product damage and self-
heated in rare cases.
WARNING
Do not use batteries that are damaged, deformed, or leaking fluid.
Abnormal batteries may cause the risk of overheating, ignition, explo-
sion, and accident.
If the product exhibits abnormalities described below, immediately turn
it off, remove its batteries, and contact the KONICA MINOLTA Informa-
tion Desk.
Continued use may cause the risk of fire and electric shock. Attempting
repair of this product is dangerous. Never attempt repairs.
• Emission of smoke, strange odor, or strange sound.
• Water or foreign objects getting into this product.
• Damaging the head mount display (HMD) by dropping off this prod-
uct.
• Nothing displayed even if procedures are performed correctly.
CAUTION
Do not use this product if any cracking, abnormal noise, overheating, or
any other abnormality is observed.
Doing so may cause the risk of injury and physical discomfort.

Viewing video images

Never wear this product while operating an automobile, motorcycle, bi-
cycle, or other vehicle.
Doing so may cause the risk of accident and injury.
Do not look directly at the sun or any other source of strong light through
this product.
Doing so may cause the risk of loss of eyesight.
Take sufficient care when using this product in high locations or in any
other unstable area.
Doing so may cause the risk of accident and injury.
Keep sufficiently aware of surroundings when viewing the screen of this
product while walking or working.
Such conditions may cause the risk of injury due to accident, falling over,
falling down, and collision.
CAUTION
This product should not be used by anyone having eye disease and/or
impediments.
Doing so may cause the risk of worsening of symptoms.
Be sure to take regular and appropriate breaks when using this product.
Long-term viewing may tire the eyes. If fatigue, discomfort, or any other
abnormality start to be experienced while viewing, stop using this prod-
uct.
CAUTION
This product can use a wireless function by connecting with a wireless
adapter.
For precautions during use of the wireless function, refer to the user man-
ual of the wireless adapter.

-Malfunction, repair, and other handling of this product may cause data stored in the product to become
corrupted or lost.
Note that KONICA MINOLTA take no responsibility for any restoration of corrupted or lost data, or for
any losses or lost profits arising therefrom.
-Do not use this product in location that is near a source of high voltage cable or things generating mag-
netism. Such conditions may cause the risk of accident, misoperation, and damage.
-Do not let this product under a germicidal lamp.
Doing so may cause the risk of deformation, discoloration, and malfunction.
-Do not apply alcohol, benzene, thinner, or other organic solvent to this product. When cleaning the
product, do not use a wet cloth or organic solvent.
Doing so may cause the product's coating material to peel.
-This product is not water resistant. Immediately wipe off any rain, water droplets, or other moisture that
gets onto the product.
-Do not use this product if the user is younger than 16 years old.
1.4 Lithium-ion battery recycling
This product uses lithium-ion batteries. When a battery is no longer needed,
insulate its terminals with tape or other material to keep them from short-
circuiting. And then take it to a recycling center that will correctly recycle it
in accordance with regulations.

bled and sorted when disposed of. Contact the dealer for details.
