Network Card Installation
Please follow the following instructions to install your new PC Express Card wireless network
card:
1. Please insert the wireless network card
into an empty PC Express Card slot of your
computer. You can insert the card when the
computer is power off or on.
(Don’t use force to insert the card into PC
Express Card slot; if you feel it get stuck,
remove it and flip the card upside down, and
then try again)
2. The following message will appear on your
computer, click „Cancel“.
3. Insert device driver CDROM into the CD/
DVD ROM drive of your computer, and
execute „Setup.exe“ program in „Driver“
folder. Please read the end user license
agreement and click „I accept the terms of
the license agreement“ and „Next“ to accept
license agreement.

4. You can choose the configuration tool used to
configure the wireless network card here. It’s
recommendedtoselect„RalinkConfiguration
Tool“, which provides fully access to all
function of this wireless network card. If you
prefer to use the wireless configuration tool
provided by Windows XP or Vista, please
select „Microsoft Zero Configuration Tool“,
then click „Next“.
5. Please select „Optimize for WiFi mod“ for
wireless compatibility, then click „Next“.
If you want to enhance wireless performance,
please select „Optimize for performance
mode“. However, wireless compatibility is not
guaranteed in this mode. Please refer to user
manual for details of performance mode.
If you see „Found New Hardware“ message
again, please ignore it and wait.
6. When you see this message, please click
„Finish“ to complete the driver installation
process.

Connect to Wireless Access Point
Using Configuration Utility to Connect to Wireless Access Point
1. After installation is complete, wireless
configuration utility will be shown as an icon
at the lower-right corner of your windows
desktop. Please click the icon by right mouse
key, and select „Launch Config Utilities“.
2. Configuration utility will scan for wireless
access points automatically, and all found
access points will be displayed. Please
select an access point you wish to connect,
and click „Connect“.
If the wireless access point you want to connect
does not show here, please click „Rescan“.
3. If the wireless access point uses encryption,
you have to input WEP passphrase or WPA
preshared key. Please ask the owner of the
wireless access point you want to connect,
and input the correct passphrase / preshared
key here, then click „OK“. If the value you
inputted here is wrong, you will not be able
to connect to wireless access point.
Authentication type is selected automati-
cally, please don’t change it.

4. If the wireless access point is successfully
connected, you’ll see a „Connected“
message displayed at the lower-left corner
of wireless configuration utility window. Click
„OK“ to exit.
For advanced settings and other features of this PC wireless network card, please refer to user
manual enclosed in supplied CD-ROM.

Installation der Netzwerkkarte
Bitte befolgen Sie die Anweisungen, um Ihre neue PC Express Karte WLAN Netzwerkkarte zu
installieren:
1. Bitte stecken Sie den WLAN-Netzwerkkarte
in einen freien PC Express Card-Steckplatz
Ihres Computers. Sie können den Adapter
bei eingeschaltetem oder ausgeschaltetem
Computer einstecken.
(Wenden Sie keine Gewalt an, um die Karte in
den PC Express Card-Steckplatz einzustecken;
wenn Sie merken, dass Sie nicht weiter
kommen, entfernen Sie die Karte, drehen Sie
diese um und versuchen Sie es anschließend
erneut)
2. Die folgende Mitteilung wird auf Ihrem
Computer angezeigt, klicken Sie auf
„Abbrechen“.
3. Legen Sie die Gerätetreiber-CD-ROM in das
CD/DVD-ROM-Laufwerk Ihres Computers
ein und rufen Sie das Programm „Setup.exe“
im Ordner „Driver“ auf. Bitte lesen Sie die
Endbenutzervereinbarung durch und klicken
Sie auf „I accept the terms of the license
agreement (Ich akzeptiere die Bedingungen
der Lizenzvereinbarung“ und auf „Next
(Weiter)“, um die Lizenzvereinbarung zu
akzeptieren.

4. Sie können hier das Konfigurationstool
auswählen, das zum Konfigurieren der
WLAN-Netzwerkkarte verwendet wird.
Es ist empfehlenswert, das „Ralink
Configuration Tool“ auszuwählen, welches
Zugriff auf alle Funktionen dieser WLAN-
Netzwerkkarte ermöglicht. Wenn Sie das
WLAN-Konfigurationstool von Windows
XP oder Vista bevorzugen, wählen Sie
bitte „Microsoft Zero Configuration Tool“
und klicken Sie anschließend auf „Next
(Weiter)“.
5. Zur Gewährleistung der Kompatibilität
von WLAN Netzwerken wählen Sie bitte
„Optimize for WiFi mode (für WiFI-Modus
optimieren)“ und klicken Sie auf „Next
(Weiter)“.
Wenn Sie die Leistung des WLAN Netzwerks
verbessern möchten, wählen Sie bitte „Optimize
for performance mode (für Leistungsmodus
optimieren)“. In diesem Modus kann die
drahtlose Kompatibilität jedoch nicht garantiert
werden. Details zum Leistungsmodus finden
Sie im Benutzerhandbuch.
Wenn Sie die Meldung „Neue Hardware
gefunden“ erneut sehen, ignorieren Sie
diese bitte und warten Sie.
6. Wenn Sie diese Meldung sehen, klicken
Sie auf „Finish (Fertig stellen)“, um die
Installation des Treibers abzuschließen.

Verbindung mit einem drahtlosen Access Point
Konfigurations-Dienstprogramm zur Verbindung mit einem drahtlosen Access Point verwenden
1. Wenn die Installation abgeschlossen ist,
wird das Dienstprogramm zur Konfiguration
der des WLAN Netzwerks als Symbol in
der unteren rechten Ecke Ihres Desktops
dargestellt. Klicken Sie bitte mit der rechten
Maustaste auf das Symbol und wählen Sie
„Launch Config Utilities“.
2. Das Konfigurations-Dienstprogramm wird
automatisch nach drahtlosen Access Points
suchen und alle gefundenen Access Points
anzeigen. Wählen Sie bitte den Access Point
aus, mit dem Sie eine Verbindung herstellen
möchten und klicken Sie auf „Connect
(Verbinden)“.
Wenn der drahtlose Access Point, mit dem
Sie sich verbinden möchten, nicht in der Liste
angezeigt wird, klicken Sie bitte auf „Rescan
(Erneut suchen)“
3. Wenn der drahtlose Access Point eine
Verschlüsselung einsetzt, müssen Sie den
WEP- oder WPA-Schlüssel eingeben. Bitte
fragen Sie den Eigentümer des drahtlosen
Access Points, mit dem Sie sich verbinden
möchten und geben Sie hier den richtigen
Schlüssel ein. Klicken Sie anschließend auf
„OK“. Wenn der eingegebene Wert falsch
ist, können Sie keine Verbindung mit dem
drahtlosen Access Point herstellen.
Der Authentifizierungstyp wird automatisch
ausgewählt, bitte ändern Sie diesen nicht.

4. Wenn die Verbindung mit dem drahtlosen
Access Point erfolgreich hergestellt worden
ist, sehen Sie die Meldung „Connected
(Verbunden)“ in der unteren linken Ecke des
Konfigurations-Dienstprogramms. Klicken
Sie auf „OK“, um zu beenden.
Informationen zu erweiterten Einstellungen und anderen Funktionen dieser PC-WLAN-
Netzwerkkarte finden Sie im Benutzerhandbuch auf der beliegenden CD-ROM.

Installation carte réseau
Veuillez suivre les instructions ci-dessous pour installer votre nouvelle carte réseau sans fil PC
Express Card :
1. Insérez la carte réseau sans fil dans un port
PC Express Card libre de votre ordinateur.
Vous pouvez insérer la carte que votre
ordinateur soit allumé ou éteint.
Ne forcez pas pour introduire la carte dans
l'emplacement PC Express Card ; si vous
sentez qu'elle coince, retirez-la et retournez la
carte puis réessayez
2. Le message suivant s'affiche sur votre
ordinateur, cliquez sur "Annuler".
3. Insérez le CD- ROM de pilote du périphérique
dans le lecteur CD/DVD ROM de votre
ordinateur et lancez le programme "Setup.
exe" du dossier "Driver". Veuillez lire l'accord
de licence pour utilisateur final et cliquer sur
"J'accepte les termes de l'accord de licence"
pour accepter l'accord de licence.

4. Vous pouvez choisir l'outil de configuration
utilisé pour configurer la carte réseau sans
fil ici. Il est conseillé de choisir "Ralink
Configuration Tool", qui permet l'accès à
toutes les fonctions de cette carte réseau
sans fil. Si vous préférez utiliser l'outil de
configuration sans fil fourni par Windows
XP ou Vista, veuillez sélectionner "Microsoft
Zero Configuration Tool", puis cliquez sur
"Suivant".
5. Sélectionnez "Optimize for WiFi mode"
(Optiminer pour mode WiFi) pour la
compatibilité sans fil puis cliquez sur "Next"
(Suivant).
Si vous souhaitez augmenter la performance
sans fil, sélectionnez "Optimize for performance
mode" (Optimiser pour mode performance).
Toutefois, la compatibilité sans fil n'est plus
garantie avec ce mode. Référez-vous au
manuel utilisateur pour obtenir plus de détails
concernant le mode performance.
Si le message "Nouveau matériel détecté"
réapparaît, ignorez-le et patientez.
6. Quand ce message apparaît, cliquez
sur "Finish" (Terminer) pour achever la
procédure d'installation du pilote.

Connexion à un point d'accès sans fil
Utiliser l'utilitaire de configuration pour se connecter à un point d'accès sans fil
1. Une fois l'installation terminée, l'utilitaire
de configuration apparaît sous la forme
d'une icône en bas à droite sur votre
bureau. Effectuez un clic droit sur l'icône
et sélectionnez "Launch Config Utilities"
(Lancer utilitaires de configuration).
2. L'utilitaire de configuration recherche les
points d'accès sans fil automatiquement
et les affiche. Choisissez le point d'accès
auquel vous souhaitez vous connecter puis
cliquez sur "Connect" (Se connecter).
Si le point d'accès auquel vous voulez vous
connecter n'apparaît pas, cliquez sur "Rescan"
(Relancer la recherche).
3. Si le point d'accès sans fil utilise un cryptage,
vous devez saisir la phrase de passe WEP
ou la clé WPA. Demandez ces éléments au
propriétaire du point d'accès sans fil auquel
vous voulez vous connecter, saisissez ces
éléments correctement, puis cliquez sur
"OK". Si les valeurs que vous saisissez
sont fausses, vous ne pourrez pas vous
connecter au point d'accès sans fil.
Le type d'authentification est automatique,
ne le modifiez pas.

4. Si vous parvenez à vous connecter au point
d'accès sans fil, le message "Connected"
(Connecté) apparaît en bas à gauche de
la fenêtre de l'utilitaire de configuration.
Cliquez sur "OK" pour sortir.
Référez-vous au manuel fourni sur le CD-ROM pour obtenir les instructions concernant les
paramètres avancés et les autres fonctionnalités de cette carte réseau sans fil PC.

Netwerkkaart installatie.
Volg de onderstaande instructies voor het installeren van uw nieuwe draadloze PC Express
netwerkkaart:
1. Steek de draadloze netwerkkaart in een vrije
PC Express kaartopening van uw computer.
Het maakt niet uit of uw computer daarbij in-
of uitgeschakeld is.
(Gebruik geen kracht om de kaart in de PC
Express kaartopening te steken; indien u voelt
dat u niet verder kunt, verwijder dan de kaart,
draai de juiste kant boven en probeer het
opnieuw).
2. Het volgende bericht zal worden getoond op
uw computer, klik op „Cancel“.
3. Plaats de driver-cd in het cd/dvd-station van
uw computer, en start het programma Setup.
exe in de map Driver. Lees de eindgebruiker
licentieovereenkomst en klik op „I accept
the terms of the license agreement“
(ik accepteer de voorwaarden van de
licentieovereenkomst) en „Next“ (volgende)
om de licentieovereenkomst te accepteren.

4. U kunt hier het configuratiegereedschap
kiezen om de draadloze netwerkkaart hier
in te stellen. Het wordt aanbevolen om
„Ralink Configuration Tool“ te selecteren,
waarmee u toegang krijgt tot alle functies
van de draadloze netwerkkaart. Indien
u de voorkeur geeft aan het draadloze
configuratiegereedschap geleverd door
Windows XP of Vista, selecteer dan
„Microsoft Zero Configuration Tool“, klik dan
op „Next“.
5. Selecteer Optimize for WiFi mode
(Optimaliseren voor WiFi modus) voor
draadloze compatibiliteit, en klik vervolgens
op Next (volgende).
Als u de draadloze prestaties wilt verbeteren,
selecteer dan Optimize for performance mode
(optimaliseren voor prestatiemodus). Echter,
draadloze compatibiliteit is niet gegarandeerd
in deze modus. Voor meer informatie over
de prestatiemodus verwijzen wij u naar de
gebruiksaanwijzing.
Als de mededeling Found New Hardware
(nieuwe hardware gevonden) weer opnieuw
verschijnt, negeer dat dan en wacht.
6. Wanneer u deze mededeling ziet, klik dan op
Finish (beëindigen) om het installatieproces
van de driver te voltooien.

Met Wireless Access Point verbinden
Configuratie-utility gebruiken voor verbinding met Wireless Access Point
1. Nadat de installatie voltooid is, verschijnt
rechtsonder op uw scherm een icoontje
van de draadloze configuratie-utility. Klik
met de rechter muisknop op het icoontje,
en selecteer Launch Config Utilities (start
configuratie-utility).
2. De configuratie-utility zal nu automatisch
naar draadloze toegangspunten gaan
zoeken. Alle gevonden toegangspunten
zullen weergegeven worden. Selecteer het
toegangspunt waarmee u verbinding wilt
maken, en klik op Connect (verbinden).
Als het draadloze toegangspunt waarmee u
verbinding wilt maken hier niet verschijnt, klik
dan op Rescan (opnieuw scannen).
3. Als het draadloze toegangspunt van
encryptie(versleuteling)gebruik maakt,moet
u „WEP passphrase“ of „WPA preshared
key“ invoeren. Vraag deze gegevens aan de
eigenaar van het draadloze toegangspunt
waarmee u verbinding wilt maken, voer hier
de juiste „passphrase / preshared key“ in,
en klik vervolgens op OK. Als de waarde
die u hier invoert niet juist is, zult u geen
verbinding met het draadloze toegangspunt
kunnen maken.
Het „authentication type“ (verificatie type)
wordt automatisch geselecteerd, verander
dit a.u.b. niet.

4. Als het draadloze toegangspunt met succes
verbonden is, zult u linksonder in het
configuratie-utility-venster de mededeling
„Connected“ (verbonden) zien. Klik op „OK“
om te voltooien.
Voor geavanceerde instellingen en andere eigenschappen van deze PC Express draadloze
netwerkkaart, verwijzen wij u naar de gebruiksaanwijzing op de meegeleverde cd.
