Preperation
AC adoper :KA350
Damper Pedal: DS-1H
HeadPhone
AA alkaline battery x6
Mechanical check
Check the Projection of Stay in the Stay catcher hole, when Top Board is closed.
Open Top Baord.
Put up the Stay.
Lay the Stay.
Check that there is somewhat resistance
when moving it.
Keyboard check
1) Set the volume knob to Max Position.
2) Insert Plug of the AC adaptor in DC JACK.
3) Insert Plug of DS-1H in DAMPER JACK.
4) Check the direction of Battery Spring is correct, and insertion in the interior.
5) Insert AA alkaline batteries to the Battery case.
6) Push switch and the system enter the normal mode.
7) Check from Key C7 to KEY C2 with medium touch.
Don’t release check key before next check key pushed.
For example)

Sound L/R check
1) Push switch with pushing [SOUND] switch.
Keep pushing both switch.
2) Check the clicking sound is not large when the power set on.
3) Check light on POWER LED after releasing [SOUND] switch.
Release after checking POWER LED.
4) Push [SOUND] switch twice, it enter the Sound L check mode.
Check sound from only left speaker.
5) Push [SOUND] switch.
Check sound from only right speaker.
6) Push switch twice for reboot.
Key mechanical noise check
Set the volume knob in the direction at 12 o'clock.
Check from Key C7 to KEY C2 with hard touch.
Check a strange mechanism noise is not generated.
Do the following check (damper pedal check) when the check on all keyboards ends.
Damper Pedal check
Push the damper pedal (DS-1H).
Choose 3 key and push each one key.
Check sound is keeping after releasing keys.
Check stop sound when damper pedal is released.
Do the following check (sound check) when this pedal check ends.
Sound check
Push C4 (25th key from left edge ) key with pushing [SOUND] switch.
Check the sound is “Vibraphone” when key is played.
Push C5(37th key from left edge) key with pushing [SOUND] switch.
Check the sound is “Pipe Organ” when key is played.
Do the following check (Volume Control check) when this pedal check ends.
Volume Control check
Push C2(left edge) key with pushing [SONG] switch.
Check that playback starts the song “Arabesque”.
Check that the volume changes smoothly when the volume knob is turned.
Check moving smoothly from a mechanical viewpoint.

Check that there is no mechanical noise when making Volume Knob to the maximum.
Check that there is no sound when making Volume Knob to the minimum.
Do not stop play and do the following check (Headphone output check) when this check ends.
Headphone output check
Insert headphone plug to PHONES JACK with playing in song mode.
Check that sound is muted from speaker when plug is inserted.
Check hearing of the sound from the headphone after it is inserted.
note) Set to the volume that can be checked easily.
Check hearing of the sound from speaker when plug is unplugged.
Do the following check.
Battery drive check
Unplug AC adopter and power is set off.
Push switch.
Push C2 key with pushing [SONG] switch.
Check that playback starts the song “Arabesque”.
After this check, do the following “Shipment setting”
Shipment setting
Push switch and check POWER LED is turned off.
Remove the battery.
Install the battery lid.
Push ▼until it clicks and locks.
Check that it is easy to click and lock.
Remove stay from Top Board and close Top Board.
Check the Stay catcher is fixed.
Unplug DS-1H
Set the volume knob in the direction at 12 o'clock.

Remove R43 in a red frame.

Remodeling instruction
Please remove R43 in KLM-3048 excluding Japan.
Please do check in next page after remodering this page.

KLM-3048 Check
Please check it after remodeling.
Preperation
AC adopter: KA350
DC power supply with function variable output voltage. (0 to 9 Volt)
Please build in KLM-3048.
Sound check
Insert Plug of the AC adaptor in DC JACK.
Push switch and the system enter the normal mode.
Push C7 (Right edge ) key with pushing [SONG] switch.
Check that the song is not played.
Battery low indicate check
Disconnect AC adopter.
Remove Battery.
Adjust power supply output voltage to 9 Volt.
Supply 9 Volt to the Battery Spring.
Check light on POWER LED after pushing switch.
Check the LED blinks when the voltage falls on 7V or less.
Check the cycle of blinking the LED shortens when the voltages falls on 6.4V or less.
Check the LED is turned off when the voltage falls on 5.5V or less( 5V or more).
