Pa4X – Operating System Update
Introduction
KORG may release updates to the instrument’s Operating
System. Updates can include new features, improvements,
bug fixes, new sounds and/or styles. The most up-to-date
version can be downloaded from our web site (www.korg.
com).
Note: By loading the new Operating System, you also load
all the features added by the previous updates.
Note: Please do not turn the instrument off before the
loading operation has been completed!
Making a safety copy of your data
Loading this file will not modify your User data, but we sug-
gest you create a safety copy of your data before proceed-
ing.
• To save all User data, use the Media > Save All procedure.
• In case there are custom Factory data in the internal
memory, go to the Global > Mode Preferences > Media page
and remove the protection to the Factory data you want to
save; then use the Media > Save procedures to save single
items or banks.
• In case there are custom Factory Sounds in the internal
memory, backup all your data by using the Full Resource
Backup command in the Media > Utility page.
See the chapter dedicated to file management in the User’s
Manual for more information.
Loading the Operating System
Here is how to load the Operating System of your instru-
ment.
1. If it is on, keep the POWER button pressed for about
one second to turn the instrument off. Then keep the IN-
TRO 1 button pressed, and press the POWER button to turn
the instrument on again.
2. Keep the INTRO 1 button pressed, until the Touch Panel
Calibration page appears: this will confirm that the system
loading procedure has been started. Execute the display
calibration by touching the red cross wherever it appears.
3. A message will appear, asking you to select either a
.pkg or an .upd Operating System file. Download the file
from our web site.
4. Unzip the Operating System file from the .zip archive,
and copy the resulting .pkg/.upd file to an USB storage de-
vice.
5. Connect the USB storage device where you copied the
system file to the USB HOST port, then touch the OK but-
ton in the display to close the dialog box.
6. When a file selector appears, use the Device pop-up
menu (in the lower left side of the display) to choose the
device connected to the USB HOST port. Then touch the
Operating System .pkg/.upd file to select it, and touch the
Select button on the display to confirm loading.

7. A dialog will appear, asking you to choose whether to
update or to cancel the operation. Touch the Update button
to confirm updating the Operating System.
8. A progress bar appears, showing the loading status.

9. When the loading procedure is finished, the “System
Update Completed” message appears, inviting you to re-
start the instrument.
10. Turn the instrument off by keeping the POWER but-
ton pressed for about one second, then turn it on again by
shortly pressing the POWER button.
Loading the Musical Resources
(Factory Restore)
Loading the Operating System may also update the Musi-
cal Resources (Sounds, Styles…). This type of data is not
actually updated until you execute a Factory Restore. The
need for a Factory Restore is indicated in the documents
accompanying the Operating System.
Warning: Executing a Factory Restore will delete all User
data and all custom Factory data (if any). See the “Making a
safety copy of your data” section above for instructions on
how to make a safety copy of your data.
1. Press the MEDIA button, then touch the Utility tab to
access the Utility page.
2. Select the Factory Restore option, then touch the Ex-
ecute button.
3. The Restore dialog appears. Leave the All checkbox
selected if you want to reset everything. If you prefer to
preserve some type of data, deselect the All checkbox, then
deselect the type of data to be preserved.
4. Touch OK to confirm. A message appears, asking you if
you want to erase all the data in the internal memory. Touch
Yes to confirm (or No to cancel). All the Factory data will be
reloaded and updated, and all User data will be erased.
5. If you have saved your User and/or custom Factory
data, reload them by using the Media > Load operations.

Introduction
KORG publie régulièrement de nouvelles versions du sys-
tème d’exploitation de l’instrument. Celles-ci peuvent ajou-
ter de nouvelles fonctions, apporter des améliorations,
augmenter le nombre de sonorités et de styles et/ou ré-
soudre d’éventuels problèmes. La version la plus récente
du logiciel est téléchargeable de notre site web (www.korg.
com).
Remarque: Chaque nouvelle version du système effectue
automatiquement toutes les modifications des mises à jour
antérieures.
Remarque:Ne mettez jamais l’instrument hors tension
avant la fin du chargement des données!
Archivage de vos données
Bien que les données “User“ ne soient pas écrasées lors du
chargement de ce fichier, il vaut mieux les archiver avant
de commencer.
•L’archivage de toutes les données utilisateur peut être ef-
fectué avec la commande Media > Save All.
•Si la mémoire interne contient aussi des ressources mu-
sicales d’usine modifiés, passez à la page Global > Mode
Preferences > Media et déverrouillez tous les ressources
musicales d’usine que vous souhaitez archiver. Sauvegar-
dez ensuite les banques ou les fichiers individuels avec Me-
dia > Save.
•Si la mémoire interne contient aussi des sons d’usine mo-
difiés, archivez toutes vos données avec la commande Full
Resource Backup de la page Media > Utility.

Charger le système d’exploitation
Voici comment charger le nouveau système d’exploitation
de l’instrument.
1. Si l’instrument est sous tension, maintenez le bouton
POWER enfoncé une seconde environ pour passer en veille.
Maintenez ensuite le bouton INTRO 1 enfoncé pendant que
vous appuyez sur POWER pour remettre l’instrument sous
tension.
2. Maintenez le bouton INTRO 1 enfoncé jusqu’à ce que
la page Touch Panel Calibration s’affiche. C’est là la confir-
mation que la procédure de chargement a été lancée. Ef-
fectuez le calibrage de l’écran en touchant la croix rouge
partout où elle apparaît.
3. Un message vous demande de sélectionner un fichier
.pkg ou .upd. Téléchargez le fichier de notre site web.
4. Ouvrez le fichier “Operating System“ de l’archive .zip
et copiez le fichier .pkg/.upd qui en résulte sur un support
de mémoire USB.
5. Branchez le support de mémoire USB contenant le fi-
chier système à la prise USB HOST puis touchez le bouton
OK à l’écran pour fermer la fenêtre de dialogue.
6. Quand un sélecteur de fichier apparaît, utilisez le
menu déroulant Device (dans le coin inférieur gauche de
l’écran) pour sélectionner le dispositif branché à la prise
USB HOST. Touchez ensuite le fichier Operating System
.pkg/.upd pour le sélectionner puis touchez le bouton Se-
lect à l’écran pour confirmer le chargement.

7. Une fenêtre de dialogue apparaît et vous permet de
lancer la mise à jour ou d’annuler l’opération. Touchez le
bouton Update pour confirmer la mise à jour.
8. Une barre de progression indique où en est le charge-
ment.

9. Lorsque les données sont chargées, le message “Sys-
tem Update Completed” est affiché, vous invitant à redé-
marrer l’instrument.
10. Mettez l’instrument en veille en maintenant le bouton
POWER enfoncé environ une seconde puis remettez l’ins-
trument sous tension en actionnant à nouveau mais briè-
vement le bouton POWER.
Charger les ressources musicales
(Factory Restore)
Certaines versions du système d’exploitation nécessitent
aussi la mise à jour des ressources musicales (sons, styles,
des phrases de Pad…). Comme cela ne se fait pas automa-
tiquement, vous devez rétablir les données d’usine avec
“Factory Restore”. Les documents accompagnant le fichier
système vous indiquent si cette opération est effective-
ment nécessaire.
Avertissement: Lors du chargement des réglages d’usine,
toutes les données utilisateur et tous les fichiers d’usine
modifiés (le cas échéant) sont effacés. Commencez donc
par archiver ces types de données (voyez “Archivage de vos
données” plus haut).
1. Appuyez sur le bouton MEDIA et touchez l’onglet [Uti-
lity] pour sauter à la page “Utility”.
2. Sélectionnez l’option Factory Restore et touchez le
bouton Execute.
3. La fenêtre Restore apparaît. Gardez la case All cochée
si vous voulez tout réinitialiser. Si vous souhaitez conserver
certains types de données, désélectionnez la case All puis
désélectionnez les types de données à conserver.
4. Appuyez sur OK pour confirmer votre choix. Un mes-
sage vous demande si vous acceptez d’effacer toutes les
données de la mémoire interne. Touchez Yes pour confir-
mer l’opération ou No pour l’annuler. Toutes les données
d’usine sont rechargées et la partie “User” est complète-
ment effacée.
5. Si nécessaire, vous pouvez alors recharger vos don-
nées “User” et les données d’usine modifiées, archivées au
préalable, en effectuant les opérations Media > Load. Voyez
le chapitre concernant la gestion de données dans le mode
d’emploi pour en savoir plus.

nen für das Instrument. Diese fügen neue Funktionen, Ver-
besserungen, neue Klangfarben und/oder Styles hinzu und/
oder beheben eventuelle Probleme. Die jeweils aktuelle
Systemversion steht auf unserer Webpage zum Download
bereit (www.korg.com).
Anmerkung: Jede neue Version des Betriebssystems fügt
auch automatisch die Änderungen vorangehender Updates
hinzu.
Anmerkung:Schalten Sie das Instrument niemals aus, be-
vor die neuen Systemdaten komplett geladen sind!
Sicherheitskopie Ihrer Daten
Beim Laden dieser Datei werden die „User“-Daten zwar
nicht überschrieben, aber wir raten trotzdem, Ihre eigenen
Einstellungen vorher zu archivieren.
•Zum Archivieren der Anwenderdaten müssen Sie den „Me-
dia > Save All“-Befehl verwenden.
•Wenn der interne Speicher auch abgewandelte Werks-Sty-
les und -PAD-Phrasen enthält, müssen Sie auf der Seite
„Global > Mode Preferences > Media“ die Einträge „Facto-
ry Styles“ und „Factory Pads“ freischalten. Sichern Sie die
betreffenden Speicher oder Bänke anschließend einzeln im
Media > Save-Modus.
•Wenn der interne „Factory“-Bereich außerdem abgewan-
delte Sounds enthält, archivieren Sie mit „Full Resource
Backup“ im Media > Utility-Modus am besten gleich alle
internen Daten.

Datenverwaltung in der Bedienungsanleitung.
Laden des Betriebssystems
Zum Laden des neuen Betriebssystems verfahren Sie bitte
folgendermaßen.
1. Wenn das Instrument momentan eingeschaltet ist,
müssen Sie den POWER-Taster ±1 Sekunde gedrückt hal-
ten, um den Bereitschaftsbetrieb zu wählen. Halten Sie den
INTRO 1-Taster gedrückt, während Sie den POWER-Taster
betätigen, um das Instrument wieder einzuschalten.
2. Halten Sie den INTRO 1-Taster so lange gedrückt, bis
die Seite „Touch Panel Calibration“ erscheint. Das ist die
Bestätigung, dass der Ladevorgang vorbereitet wird. Ka-
librieren Sie das Display den Anweisungen entsprechend,
indem Sie auf die angezeigten roten Kreuze drücken.
3. Nun erscheint die Aufforderung, die gewünschte
„.pkg“- oder „.upg“-Datei zu wählen. Die Systemversion
steht auf unserer Webpage zum Download bereit.
4. Schieben Sie den USB-Datenträger mit der vorbereite-
ten Systemdatei in den USB HOST-Port und drücken Sie
den [OK]-Button im Display, um das Dialogfenster zu schlie-
ßen.
5. Packen Sie die „Operating System“-Datei (.zip-Ar-
chiv) aus und kopieren Sie die betreffende „.pkg“- oder
„.upd“-Datei zu einem USB-Datenträger.
6. Wenn jetzt ein Fenster für die Dateianwahl erscheint,
müssen Sie mit der „Device“-Liste (unten links im Display)
den an den USB HOST-Port angeschlossenen Datenträger
wählen. Drücken Sie anschließend [Operating System.pkg
/.upd] und den [Select]-Button im Display, um den Ladebe-
fehl zu bestätigen.

7. Es erscheint ein Dialogfenster, in dem Sie angeben
können, ob Sie das System aktualisieren oder den Befehl
abbrechen möchten. Drücken Sie den [Update]-Button, um
die Aktualisierung zu starten.
8. Ein Balken zeigt an, wie weit der Ladevorgang gedie-
hen ist.

9. Wenn alle Daten geladen sind, erscheinen die Meldung
„System Update Completed“ und die Aufforderung das Ins-
trument neuzustarten.
10. Halten Sie den POWER-Taster gedrückt, um den Be-
reitschaftsbetrieb des Instruments zu wählen. Schalten Sie
es danach wieder ein, indem Sie den POWER-Taster kurz
drücken.
Laden der Musik-Ressourcen
(Factory Restore)
Bei bestimmten Systemversionen müssen auch die Styles,
Pad-Phrasen und Performance-Speicher aktualisiert wer-
den. Da das nicht automatisch geschieht, muss man hierfür
den „Factory Restore“-Befehl verwenden. In den Anmer-
kungen zum Betriebssystem erfahren Sie, ob dieser Vor-
gang wirklich notwendig ist.
Warnung: Beim Laden der Werksvorgaben werden alle
„User“-Daten und alle eventuell abgewandelten Werksda-
ten überschrieben. Archivieren Sie diese Datenbereiche
also vorher (siehe „Sicherheitskopie Ihrer Daten“).
1. Drücken Sie den MEDIA-Taster und den [Utility]-Reiter,
um zur „Utility“-Seite zu gehen.
2. Wählen Sie den „Factory Restore“-Befehl und drücken
Sie [Execute].
3. Es erscheint das „Restore“-Dialogfenster. Markieren
Sie das „All“-Kästchen, wenn Sie alle Parameter zurückstel-
len möchten. Wenn Sie bestimmte Einstellungen behalten
möchten, dürfen Sie „All“ nicht markieren. Auch Datenty-
pen, die nicht überschrieben werden sollen, dürfen nicht
markiert sein.
4. Bestätigen Sie, indem Sie [OK] drücken. Jetzt erscheint
die Rückfrage, ob Sie alle intern gespeicherten Daten lö-
schen möchten: Drücken Sie den [Ye s ]-Button, um den
Befehl zu bestätigen (oder [No], wenn Sie es sich anders
überlegt haben). Alle Werksdaten werden erneut geladen
und der „User“-Bereich wird gelöscht.
5. Bei Bedarf können Sie Ihre zuvor archivierten „User“-
und abgewandelten Werksdaten jetzt mit „Media > Load“
laden. Weitere Informationen hierzu finden Sie im Kapitel
über die Datenverwaltung in der Bedienungsanleitung.

Pa4X – Aggiornamento del sistema operativo
Introduzione
KORG potrebbe aggiornare il sistema operativo dello stru-
mento. Gli aggiornamenti potrebbero contenere nuove fun-
zioni, migliorie, correzione di bug, nuovi suoni e/o stili. La
versione più aggiornata può sempre essere prelevata dal
nostro sito web (www.korg.com).
Nota: Nel caricare un nuovo sistema operativo, si caricano
sempre anche le funzioni aggiunte dalle versioni preceden-
ti.
Nota: Non spegnete lo strumento durante il caricamento
del sistema operativo!
Creare una copia di sicurezza dei
dati
Il caricamento di questo file non modifica i dati User, ma vi
consigliamo ugualmente di creare una copia di sicurezza
prima di procedere.
• Per salvare tutti i dati User, usate la procedura Media >
Save All.
• Se nella memoria interna ci sono risorse musicali di tipo
Factory personalizzati, andate nella pagina Global > Mode
Preferences > Media e disattivate la protezione di questi
dati Factory; poi usare le procedure Media > Save per salva-
re singoli elementi o banchi interi.
• Se nella memoria interna ci sono Sound di tipo Factory
personalizzati, fate una copia di sicurezza di tutti i dati con
il comando Full Resource Backup nella pagina Media > Uti-
lity.

istruzioni per maggiori informazioni.
Caricare il sistema operativo
Ecco come caricare il sistema operativo nello strumento.
1. Se lo strumento è acceso, mettetelo in standby tenen-
do premuto il pulsante POWER per circa un secondo. Poi
tenete premuto il pulsante INTRO 1 e premete il pulsante
POWER per riaccenderlo.
2. Tenete premuto il pulsante INTRO 1, fino a quando non
appare la pagina Touch Panel Calibration: la sua compar-
sa conferma che la procedura di caricamento del sistema
operativo è iniziata. Eseguite la calibrazione del display
toccando la croce rossa nel punto esatto in cui appare, e
confermate.
3. Appare un messaggio che chiede di selezionare un file
di sistema .pkg o .upd. Prelevate il file dal nostro sito web.
4. Collegate alla porta USB HOST il dispositivo di memo-
rizzazione USB in cui avete copiato il file di sistema. Una
volta collegato il dispositivo, toccate il pulsante OK per con-
fermare.
5. Estraete il file del sistema operativo dall’archivio .zip,
poi copiate il file di sistema operativo .pkg/.upd risultante
in un dispositivo di memorizzazione USB.
6. Quando appare la finestra di selezione file, usate il
menu a comparsa Device (in basso a sinistra nel display)
per scegliere il dispositivo collegato alla porta USB HOST.
Poi toccate il file .pkg/.upd del sistema operativo per sele-
zionarlo, e infine toccate il pulsante Select nel display per
confermare il caricamento.

7. Appare una finestra di dialogo, che chiede se si deside-
ra continuare con l’aggiornamento o annullare l’operazio-
ne. Toccate il pulsante Update per confermare l’aggiorna-
mento del sistema operativo.
8. Appare una barra di avanzamento che mostra lo stato
dell’operazione di caricamento.

9. Una volta completata la procedura di caricamento, ap-
pare il messaggio “System Update Completed!”, che invita
a riavviare lo strumento.
10. Mettete lo strumento in standby tenendo il pulsante
POWER premuto per circa un secondo, poi riaccendetelo
premendo brevemente il pulsante POWER.
Caricare le risorse musicali
(Factory Restore)
Il caricamento del sistema operativo potrebbe aggiornare
anche le risorse musicali (Sound, Style, Pad…). Questo tipo
di dati non viene effettivamente aggiornato finché non si
esegue un Factory Restore. La necessità di eseguire un Fac-
tory Restore è indicato nella documentazione che accom-
pagna il sistema operativo.
Attenzione: L’esecuzione di un Factory Restore cancella
tutti i dati User e tutti i dati Factory personalizzati (se pre-
senti). Vedi più sopra la sezione “Creare una copia di sicu-
rezza dei dati” per istruzioni su come creare una copia di
sicurezza di questo genere di dati.
1. Premete il pulsante MEDIA, poi toccate la linguetta Uti-
lity per accedere alla pagina Utility.
2. Selezionate l’opzione Factory Restore, poi toccate il
pulsante Execute.
3. Appare la finestra di dialogo Restore. Se desiderate re-
settare tutto, lasciate la casella di spunta All selezionata. Se
invece preferite conservare alcuni tipi di dati, deselezionate
la casella di spunta All, poi deselezionate i tipi di dati che
desiderate conservare.
4. Toccate OK per confermare. Appare un messaggio, che
chiede se si desidera cancellare tutti i dati dalla memoria
interna. Toccate Ye s per confermare (oppure No per annul-
lare). Tutti i dati Factory verranno ricaricati e aggiornati, e
tutti i dati User verranno cancellati.
5. Se avete salvato i vostri dati User e/o Factory perso-
nalizzati, ricaricateli con le procedure Media > Load. Vedi il
capitolo dedicato alla gestione dei file nel Manuale di istru-
zioni per maggiori informazioni.

Introducción
KORG podrá lanzar actualizaciones de sistema operativo de
el instrumento. Las actualizaciones pueden incluir nuevas
características, mejoras, correcciones de errores, nuevos
sonidos y estilos. Puede descargar la versión más actuali-
zada de nuestro sitio web (www.korg.com).
Nota: Cargando el nuevo sistema operativo, se cargan tam-
bién todas las características agregadas por las actualiza-
ciones anteriores.
Nota: ¡Por favor no apague el instrumento antes de que se
haya completado la operación de carga!
Copia de seguridad de los datos
Cargar este archivo no modificará los datos de usuario,
pero sugerimos que haga una copia de seguridad de sus
datos antes de continuar.
• Para guardar todos los datos de usuario, use Media > Save
All.
• En caso de que haya datos de fábrica personalizados en la
memoria interna, vaya a la página Global > Mode Preferen-
ces > Media y quite la protección a los datos de fábrica que
desea guardar; a continuación, utilice los procedimientos
Media > Save para guardar elementos o bancos.
• En caso de que haya Sonidos personalizados en la memo-
ria interna, realice una copia de seguridad usando el co-
mando Full Resource Backup en la página Media > Utility.

Cargar el Sistema Operativo
Para cargar el Sistema Operativo en el instrumento.
1. Si está encendido, pulse el botón POWER para apagar
el instrumento. A continuación, mantenga presionado el
botón INTRO 1 y pulse el botón POWER para encender de
nuevo el instrumento.
2. Mantenga presionado el botón INTRO 1, hasta que apa-
rezca la página de calibración de Panel táctil: Esto confirma
que se ha iniciado el procedimiento de inicialización. Eje-
cute la calibración tocando la cruz roja en el lugar donde
aparezca.
3. Aparece un mensaje pidiéndole seleccione el archivo
.pkg/.upd. Puede descargar este archivo de nuestro sitio
web.
4. Conecte el dispositivo de almacenamiento USB donde
copió el archivo de sistema al puerto USB HOST y, a con-
tinuación, toque el botón OK en la pantalla para cerrar el
cuadro de diálogo.
5. Descomprima el archivo .zip para extraer el archivo del
Sistema Operativo, y copie el archivo .pkg/.upd en un dispo-
sitivo de almacenamiento USB.
6. Cuando aparezca el selector de archivos use el menú
de selección de dispositivo (en la parte inferior izquierda de
la pantalla) para elegir el dispositivo conectado al puerto
USB HOST. Ahora toque el archivo de sistema operativo
.pkg/.upd para seleccionarlo y toque el botón Select en la
pantalla para confirmar la carga.

7. Aparece un cuadro de diálogo que le pide si actualizar
o cancelar la operación. Toque el botón Update para confir-
mar la actualización del sistema operativo.
8. Aparece una barra de progreso, que muestra el estado
de carga.

9. Al finalizar el procedimiento de carga, aparece el men-
saje “Update Completed!“, invitando a que se reinicie el
instrumento.
10. Apague el instrumento manteniendo pulsado el botón
POWER durante un segundo, y después vuelva a encender-
lo pulsando brevemente el botón POWER.
Cargar los Recursos Musicales
(Inicialización de Fábrica)
Al cargar el sistema operativo también se pueden actuali-
zar los Recursos Musicales (Estilos, Pads, Sonidos…). Este
tipo de datos no se actualiza en realidad hasta que ejecuta
una Inicialización de fábrica. La necesidad de ejecutar una
Inicialización de fábrica se indica en las notas de la versión
que acompañan al sistema operativo.
Advertencia: Al ejecutar una Inicialización de fábrica se
eliminarán todos los datos de usuario y todos los datos
de fábrica personalizados (si existen). Consulte la sección
“Copia de seguridad de los datos” más arriba para obtener
instrucciones sobre cómo hacer una copia de seguridad de
sus datos.
1. Pulse el botón MEDIA y, a continuación, pulse en la
pestaña de utilidad Utility para acceder a la página Utility.
2. Seleccione la opción Factory Restore y, a continuación,
toque el botón Execute.
3. Aparece el cuadro de diálogo Restore. Deje la casilla de

Pa4X – 操作系统更新
简介
KORG 会发布乐器操作系统的更新。 更新内容可包括新功
能、改进、bug 修复、新的音色和/或风格等。 最新版本可
从我们的网站 (www.korg.com) 下载。
注： 加载新的操作系统后，也会加载之前更新所包含的所有
功能。
注： 加载操作完成前请勿关闭乐器！
安全备份您的数据
加载此文件不会修改您的用户数据，但我们建议您在继续操
作之前先创建数据的安全备份。
• 要保存所有用户数据，请使用 Media > Save All 程序。
• 如果内部存储器中有自定义的出厂数据，可进入 Global >
Mode Preferences > Media 页面去除您要保存的出厂数据的保
护机制。 然后使用 Media > Save 程序来保存单个项目或者音
色组。
• 如果内部存储器中有自定义的出厂音色，则使用 Media >
Utility 页面中的 Full Resource Backup 命令备份您的所有数
据。
请参阅用户手册中关于文件管理的专门章节了解更多信息。
加载操作系统
以下是加载您的乐器的操作系统的说明。
1. 如果乐器为开启状态，则长按电源键大约一秒钟将乐
器关闭。 之后按住 INTRO 1 按键再按电源键，再次开启乐
器。
2. 在 Touch Panel Calibration 页面出现之前始终按住
INTRO 1 按键。 这样可以确认系统装载程序已经开始。 屏
幕显示红色十字准星时，触摸准星执行显示器校准。
3. 信息会显示提示您选择.pkg或者.upd操作系统的文件。

4. 将拷贝了系统文件的 USB 盘插到 USB HOST 口，然后按
屏幕上的 OK 键来关闭对话框。
5. 将操作系统文件从 .zip 中解压缩出来，并将解压得到的
.pkg/.upd 文件拷贝到 USB 盘中。
6. 文件选择器出现后，在 设备 弹出菜单中（屏幕的左下
角）选择连接到 USB HOST 端口的 U 盘。 然后点操作系统
.pkg 文件将其选中，按屏幕上的 Select 键来确认加载。

7. 屏幕上将显示对话框，提示您选择更新或者取消操作。
按 Update 键确认更新操作系统。
8. 屏幕上将显示加载进度条。
9. 加载程序完成后，将显示“System Update Completed”消
息，提示您重新启动乐器。
10. 长按电源键约一秒钟关闭乐器，然后再短按电源键开启
乐器。

加载音乐资源 (Factory Restore)
加载操作系统的同时也可能更新音乐资源（音色、风格等）
。 这些数据只有当您执行恢复出厂设置 (Factory Restore) 后
才会实际更新。 操作系统的随附文档中已说明需要恢复出厂
设置。
警告： 执行恢复出厂设置会删除所有用户数据和所有自定义
的出厂数据（如果有）。 参阅上文的 "安全备份您的数据"
部分了解如何安全备份您的数据。
1. 按 MEDIA 键，然后点 Utility 选项卡进入 Utility 页面。
2. 选择 Factory Restore 选项，然后点 Execute 键。
3. 显示 Restore 对话框。 如果要恢复所有内容，请保持 All
复选框为选中状态。 如果希望保留部分类型的数据，则取消
选中 All 复选框，然后再取消选中要保留的数据类型。
4. 点 OK 确认。 显示消息提示您是否要删除内部存储器中
的所有数据。 点 Yes 确认（或者点 No 取消）。 所有出厂数
据将重新加载和更新，所有用户数据都将被删除。
5. 如果您已经保存了您的用户和/或自定义的出厂数据，
可以使用 Media > Load 操作来重新加载。 请参阅用户手册

はじめに
オペレーティング・システムのアップデータには新機能、改良、
バグ・フィックス、新たな音色やスタイルなどが含まれています。
最新のアップデータは「www.korg.com」からダウンロードす
ることができます。
Note: 最新のオペレーティング・システムには、前のバージョンで追
加になった機能も含まれます。
Note: 市販の USB ストレージ・デバイスを用意してください。
内蔵データのコピーを作成する
オペレーティング・システムをアップデートすることによって、
内蔵メモリー上のデータが影響を受けることはありませんが、安
全のために、アップデートする前に以下の方法でデータのコピー
をとってください。
• Media モードの「Save All」で、すべてのユーザー・データを
セーブします。
• 本体のメモリー上にカスタマイズしたファクトリー・データ
（工場出荷時データ）がある場合は、Global モードで Mode
Preferences の Media ページに移動し、セーブしたいファク
トリー・データのプロテクトを外します。そして、Media モー
ドの「Save」で 1 つ、またはバンク単位でデータをセーブし
ます。
• 本体のメモリー上にカスタマイズしたファクトリー・データの
サウンドがある場合は、Media モードで Utility ページの「Full
Resource Backup」コマンドを使用して、全データのバック
アップを作成します。

オペレーティング・システムをアップ
デートする
オペレーティング・システムのアップデートの手順を説明します。
1. 本機の電源がオンになっているのであれば、POWER キーを
約 1 秒間押したままにして電源をオフにします。そして、フ
ロント・パネルの INTRO1 キーを押したまま、POWER キー
を押して再び電源をオンにします。このとき、INTRO1 キー
は押したままにします。
2. ディスプレイに「Touch screen calibration」が表示されたら
INTRO1 キーから手を離します。画面に表示される赤い × 印を
タッチしてディスプレイ・ キャリブレー ションを 実 行 します 。
3. オペーレーティング・システム・ファイル（.pkg、または .upd）
の選択を促すメッセージが表示されます。弊社のウェブサイトか
らファイルをダウンロードしてください。
4. システム・ファイルを入れたUSBストレージ・デバイスをフロント・
パネルの USB HOST 端子に接続します。次に、ディスプレイに
表示されている OK ボタンにタッチしてメッセージを閉じます。
5. 圧縮されたオペレーティング・システムのファイルを解凍します。
そして、解凍してできた .pkg/.upd ファイルを USB ストレージ・
デバイスにコピーします。
6. ファイル・セレクターが表示されたら、ディスプレイの左下に表
示されたデバイス・ポップアップ・メニューから、USB HOST
端子に接続したデバイスを選択します。次に、オペレーティング・
システムの .pkg/.upd ファイルを選択し Select ボタンにタッチ
します。

7. アップデートの実行を確認するダイアログが表示されます。
Update ボタンにタッチしてアップデートを実行します。
8. プログレス・バーでアップデートの進行状況が表示されます。
9. ア ッ プ デ ー ト が 終 了 す る と、「SYSTEM UPDATE
COMPLETED」のメッセージが表示されます。

本機を再起動します。
POWER キーを約 1 秒間押したままにして電源をオフにしま
す。次に、POWER キーを押して再び電源をオンにします。
ミュー ジカル ・リソースをリストア （ 復 旧 ）
する（Factory Restore）
オペレーティング・システムをアップデートすると、スタイル、
パッド、サウンドやパフォーマンスのデータもアップデートする
必要があります。
これらのデータは、ファクトリー・データをリストアすることに
よってアップデートされます。
Warning: ファクトリー・デ ー タのリストアを実 行すると、すべてのユー
ザー・データやカスタマイズしたファクトリー・データが消去されま
す。これらのデータを残しておきたい場合はコピーを作成する必要
があります。コピーの作成方法については、前述の「内蔵データの
コピーを作成する」をご覧ください。
1. Media キーを押して Media モードに入ります。次に、Utility
タブをタッチして Utility ページを表示します。
2. Factory Restore を選択し、Execute ボタンにタッチします。
3. リストアするデータの種類を選択できるダイアログ・ボックスが
表示されます。すべてをリセットする場合は、All のチェック・ボッ
クスを選択したままにします。いくつかのタイプのデータを保持
する場合は、All のチェック・ボックスの選択を外してから、保持
するタイプのデ ータのチェックを外します 。
4. 画面の OK ボタンをタッチして確定します。 本体のメモリのすべ
てのデータを消去してもよいかどうかを確認するメッセージが表
示されます。Yes にタッチします（キャンセルの場合は No にタッ
チ）。すべてのファクトリー・データがリストアされ、アップデー
トが完了します。
5. 必要に応じてセーブしておいたユーザー・デ ータやカスタマイズ
したファクトリー・データを、Media モードの Load ページでロー
ドします。詳細は、ユーザー・マニュアルのファイル管理の項目
をご 覧ください 。
