Preparación

• Retireloscablesdelcircuitoantesdecambiarentrefunciones.
• Noenciendaelcircuitomientrasmidalaresistencia,capacidad,diodosycontinuidad.
• Nuncaconecteloscablesdelmultímetroatravésdeunafuentedetensiónmientrasla
ruedaselectoraestéenelmodoresistencia,capacidad,diodoycontinuidad.
• Nomidalacapacidadantesdequeloscondensadoresesténtotalmentedescargados.
• Noutiliceelmultímetrocercadegasexplosivo,vaporopolvo.
• Dejedeutilizarelmultímetrosiobservacualquieranomalía.

Cambio de la pila y el fusible

• Retirelatapadelabatería.
• Retirelabateríausadaoelfusibledañado.
• Reemplaceporunapilanuevade9V(NEDA1604,6F22o006P)oporunnuevofusible.
• Vuelvaacolocarlatapadelabateríayasegúrelaconlostornillos.

Presteatenciónalapolaridaddelapilaparaevitardañosalmultímetro.
Sustitución de los cables de prueba
Reemplaceloscablessiestándañadosodesgastados.
ADVERTENCIA

Using the Meter
• Alwayssetthemetertotheproperfunctionandrangerst.
• Neverexceedprotectionlimitsindicatedforeachmeasurement.
• Keepngersbehindtheprobebarrierswhilemeasuring.
• Alwaysbecarefulwhenworkingwithvoltagesabove60VDCor30VACRMS.
• When using the CAT IV environment,if the measuring voltage between terminals and
earthgroundexceeds600VCATIIIenvironmentsorvoltagemeasurementbetweenthe
terminalandtheearthmorethan1000V,donotmeasurevoltage.
• Inmanualrange,ifthecircuitvalueisunknown,startthemeteratthemaximumrangeand
thenadjustaccordingly.
• Removetheleadsfromthecircuitrstbeforeswitchingbetweenfunctions.
• Donotpoweroncircuitwhilemeasuringresistance,capacitance,diodesandcontinuity.

Maintenance
• Toavoid electricshock orpersonal injury,repairs/servicingnot covered inthis manual

• Removetestleadsfromanycircuitbeforeopeningbatterycover.
• To avoid false readings that may become dangerous, replace the battery as soon as
the symbolappears.
• Cleanthe meterusinga dampclothand milddetergentonly; donotuse abrasivesor
chemicalsolvents.
• AlwaysmoverotaryswitchtoOFFwhennotusingthemeter.
• lfmeterisnotgoingtobeusedforanextendedperiodoftime,removebatterytoprevent
damagetothemeter.
Replacing the Battery and Fuse
WARNING
Toavoidelectricalshockorpersonalinjury,beforeopeningthebatterycovertoreplace
battery,youshouldturnthemetero󰀨andmakesurethatthetestprobeisdisconnected
fromthemeasurementcircuit.
Toavoidwrongreadings,electricshockorpersonalinjury,when“ ”appearsonthemeter
display,replacethebatteryimmediately.
Useonlyafusewithspeciedamperage,fusingrated
value,voltageratedvalueandfusingspeed
(F1:FF600mAH1000V,F2:FF10AH1000V)

Pleasefollowbelowstepstoreplacebatteryorfuse:
• Turno󰀨thepowersupplyofthemeter.
• Pulloutalltestprobesfromtheinputsocket.
• Loosentwoscrewsonthexedbatterycoverwithscrewdriver.
• Removethebatterycover.
• Removetheoldbatteryordamagedfuse.
• Replacewithanewbatterywith9V(NEDA1604,6F22or006P)oranewfuse.
• Replacethebatterycoverandtightenthescrews.
Note:
Payattentiontothepolarityofthebatterytoavoiddamagetothemeter.
Replacing Test Probe
Ifinsulationonleadsisdamaged,replaceit.
WARNING
Ifthetestleadsneedtobereplaced,youmustuseanewonewhichshouldmeetEN
