Engineers(ASHRAE), and the localcodeauthorities.
5.When cuttingordrillingintowall orceiling,do notdamageelectricalwiringand otherhidden
utilities.
6.Ducted fansmust alwaysbevented tothe outdoors.
7.Donot usethisunit withanyseparatesolid-statespeed controldevice.

TO REDUCETHERISK OFARANGETOPGREASEFIRE:
A.Neverleavesurfaceunitsunattended athighsettings.Boiloverscausesmokingand greasy
spilloversthat mayignite. Heat oilsslowlyon lowormediumsettings.
B.Alwaysturnhood ONwhen cookingathighheatorwhen flambeingfood (i.e.CrepesSuzette,
CherriesJubilee, PeppercornBeefFlambe).
C. Clean ventilatingfansfrequently. Greaseshouldnot beallowed toaccumulateon fan orfilter.
D. Useproperpan size. Alwaysusecookwareappropriateforthe sizeofthe surfaceelement.

CAUTION

4.Forgeneralventilatinguseonly.Donotusetoexhausthazardousorexplosivematerialsand
vapors.
5.Toavoidmotorbearingdamageand noisy and/orunbalancedimpellers,keepdrywall spray,
construction dust, etc.off powerunit.
6.Yourhood motorhasathermaloverload whichwillautomaticallyshutoff the motorifitbecomes
overheated.The motorwillrestartwhen itcoolsdown.Ifthe motorcontinuestoshutoff and
restart, havethe hoodserviced.
7.Forbestcaptureof cookingimpurities,the bottomofthe hood shouldbeaminimumof 24"and a
maximumof33"abovethe cookingsurface.
8.Twoinstallersarerecommended becauseofthelargesizeandweight ofthishood.
9.Thisproductisequipped withathermostatwhichmaystartblowerautomatically.Toreducethe
risk ofinjuryand topreventpowerfrombeingswitched on accidentally,switchpoweroffat
servicepaneland lock ortagservicepanel.
10.Usewithapproved cord-connection kit only.
11.Pleasereadspecification labelon product forfurtherinformation and requirements.

Unpack hood and check contents.

WARNING
Note:Thisrangehood mustbeproperlygrounded. Theunitshouldbeinstalledbyaqualified
electricianinaccordance withall applicablenational and local electrical codes.
Theminimumhood distanceabovecooktopmust not beless than 24 . Amaximumof33”above
cooktopishighlyrecommended forbest captureofcookingimpurities. Distancesover33”areat the
installerand usersdiscretion.
INSTALL THE DUCTWORK
NOTE:To reduce therisk offire, useonlymetal ductwork.
1.Deside wherethe ductworkwillrun between the hoodand
the outside.
2.Astraight, short duct runwillallowthe hoodtoperformmost
efficiently.
3.Install the AluminumFlexduct on the vent towardshood
location.

INSTALL MOUNTINGBRACKETS
1. Aftereveluatingthe heightofthe hood,placethe hook
centeroverinstallation location. Drill 3holesof Ø8mm
on asuitableplacetofixthe mountingbrackets.
2. Putthe drywall anchorsintothe holesand fixthe
mountingscrews(4x50mm) intothe anchors,andinstall
the hookonthewall asshown.
INSTALL SLIDERYDUCT
FIXINGSUPPORT
1.CalculatethefinalheightoftheU-shaped section,drill
2holesof Ø8mmon asuitableplaceinline withthe
slideryduct fixingsupport.
2.Putthe drywall anchorsintothe holesand fixthe
mountingscrews(4x50mm) intothe anchors,and
install thehookonthewall asshown.(Theresttwo
paresof4x50mmscrewand drywall anchorsarefor
spare)

NONE-DUCTEDRECIRCULATIONFILTERINSTALLATION
1.Purchaseanon-ductedrecirculation filterfrom
yourdealer.
2.Install the filterbyrotatingitontothe equipment
whichisstandsontwosidesofthe motor.
PREPARE THE HOOD
Note:Onstainless steelhoods,carefullyremovethe
plasticprotectivefilmfromall exteriorsurfacesofthe
hood and decorativeflues, priortofinal installation.
3.Pick out thehood fromthe carton.
4.Install the ventintotheductconnectorofthe cooker
hood.
5.Fixthe extensivepipeontothe vent.

INSTALL THE HOOD
Note:atleasttwopeoplewill berequiredtomountthe
hood.
1.Raisethe hood intoitsmountingposition.
2.Alignthe rectangularopeningon the back ofthe hood with
the wall-mountingbracket. Gentlylowerthe hooduntil it
securelyengagesthe bracket.
3.Open the Al.filterand find the two 8mmholeson the
back ofthe hood.Levelthe hood with2mounting screws
(4*35mm) withwasher. Usedrywallanchorsprovided.
4.Measurethe heightofthe glass tothe slideryductfixing
support. Adjustthe heightofthe chimneyaccording tothe
height. Thenusethe ductfixingsupporwithtwoscrews
(4x8mm) tofixthe chimneys. Shownasinthepic.
5.Putthechimneyonthehood,usetwoscrews(4x8mm)tofix
the chimneytotheslideryduct fixingsupport.
6.Usetheothertwoscrews(4x8mm) tofixthe bottomof
chimney.
7.Afteradjustingthe position,open the filterand fixthe body
inside withsafetyscrews.
Note:Thetwosafetyventsarepositioned on theback casing,
withdiameterof6mm.

MAINTENANCE
PropermaintenanceoftheRangeHoodwill assure
properperformanceofthe unit.
Filters
The filtersmustbecleaned approximatelyonceevery30
hoursofoperation (when the centralsegmentonthe
displaygoeson orstartsblinking).
Useawarmdetergentsolution.Greasefiltersare
dishwashersafe.
Removefilterbypushingfiltertowardstheback ofhood
and rotatingfilterdownward.
Ductfree(Carbon)Filters
Theductfree filtersshouldbechanged every6months. Rotatethefilterstoremoveand replace.
Hood Cleaning
Stainless steelisone oftheeasiest materials
tokeepclean.Occasionalcarewill helppreserveitsfine appearance.
Cleaningtips:
lHot waterwithsoapordetergent isall that isusuallyneeded.
lFollowall cleaningbyrinsingwithclearwater.Wipe drywithaclean,softclothtoavoidwater
marks.
lFordiscolorationsordepositsthatpersist, useanon-scratchinghouseholdcleanserorstainless
steelpolishingpowderwithalittlewaterand asoft cloth.
lForstubborncases,useaplasticscouringpad orsoftbristlebrushtogetherwithcleaserand
water.Rublightlyindirection ofpolishinglinesor"grain"ofthe stainless finish.Avoidusingtoo
muchpressurewhichmaymarthe surface.
lDO NOTallowdepositstoremainforlongperiodsof time.
lDONOTuseordinarysteelwoolorsteelbrushes.Smallbitsofsteelmayadheretothesurface
causingrust.
lDONOTallowsaltsolutions,disinfectants,bleaches,orcleaningcompoundstoremainin
contactwithstainless steelforextended periods.Manyofthesecompoundscontainchemicals
whichmaybeharmful. Rinsewithwaterafterexposureand wipedrywithaclean cloth.
Painted surfacesshouldbecleaned withwarmwaterand milddetergent only.

OPERATION
Controls
Always trun thehoodONbeforecooking inordertoestablishanairflow inthekitchen.After
turing off therange, letthehood run forafewminutes tocleartheair.
lPushbutton
1. Pushstopbutton,and the motorwill stop.
2. Pushthe Lowbutton, thebuzzerwill buzz once, and themotorrunsat lowspeed.
3. Pushthe highbutton, the buzzerwillbuzz once, and themotorrunsat midspeed.
4. Pushthe Highbutton,the buzzerwill buzz once, and themotorrunsat highspeed.
5. Pushthe light buttonandthetwolightswillcomeon. Pushit againand the light will turnoff.

HALOGENBULBS

bulb.Donottouchreplacementbulbwithbarehands!If
the bulbistouched withthe barehand,itshouldbe
cleaned withalint-free clothmoistened withmethylated
spirit.
