Make sure that your steamer is not plugged in.
Fill the water reservoir to the maximum fill line. Do not over fill.
Use distilled water to avoid mineral build-up. If not possible, use normal tap water.

After filling water, place the water reservoir cap on top of the main unit and twist
counter-clockwise.
Plug the power cord into any standard outlet and turn the steamer on.
Allow approximately 60 seconds for the main unit to heat up.
Test a small area before using your steamer on your garment.
Begin using your steamer by pointing the steam outlet holes at areas you want
to steam, with an up-and-down motion, directing the steam toward the wrinkled
area.
Always hold your steamer in an upright position.
NEVER TILT FORWARD OR BACKWARD WHILE STEAMING.
Note: tilting the steamer over 45° may cause water-spitting.
The fabric should be pulled down firmly or held tightly in order to remove wrinkles.
Do not leave the steam in one spot for a long period of time. This could cause
damage to the fabric.
Turn your steamer off by sliding power switch down to the Off position.
Unplug the unit from the electrical outlet.
The unit will take approximately 5 minutes to cool down.
Once the unit has completely cooled down, empty excess water from the

INFORMATION

TO PLUG IN KULLIS STEAMER
WARNING
KULLIS steamer is equipped with a polarized plug (one blade is wider than
the other blade) as a safety feature to reduce the risk of electrical shock. This plug will fit into a polar-
ized outlet only one way. This is a safety feature. If you are unable to insert the plug into the electrical
outlet, try reversing the plug. If the plug still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician.
Do not use an extension cord to operate your steamer. If an extension cord is absolutely necessary,
a 15-ampere rated cord should be used. Cords rated for less amperage may overheat.
Never use the plug with an extension cord unless the plug can be fully inserted into the extension
cord. Do not alter the plug of the appliance or any extension cord used with this appliance. Do not
attempt to defeat the safety purpose of the polarized plug.
Care should be taken to arrange the cord so it cannot be pulled or tripped over.
DO NOT CHANGE THE PLUG IN ANY WAY
USE ONLY AS DIRECTED

possible conditions and situations that may occur. Common sense, caution and care must be
exercised when installing, maintaining, or operating appliance. Always contact your dealer,
distributor, service agent or manufacturer about problems or conditions you do not understand.
Before using for the first time, check if the voltage indicated on the base of your steamer
corresponds to the voltage in your home. This is the # 1 cause for a serious malfunction.
Note: if you travel to a country with a different voltage capacity, make sure to use a proper
voltage-converter. KULLIS steamer is designed to operate in a 110V region. When you travel
with your 110V steamer to a 220V region, you’ll need a Step-Down Voltage Converter. Failure
to do so may damage your steamer.
Do not use your steamer for other than its intended use. KULLIS steamer is intended for use
only on fabrics and should not be used as a cleaning device for other things.
KULLIS steamer is for household use only. Do not use outdoors.
Fill water reservoir with water ONLY. Use of any other liquids/chemicals may damage your
steamer or cause injury. No detergent can be added into the water reservoir or it will cause
damage. Distilled or de-mineralized water is recommended.
Never operate your steamer without water. Always check the water level before and during
operation.
Do not steam clothing while it is being worn.
Always use the handle when carrying, moving or using your steamer. Never pull or lift steamer
by power cord.
If your steamer is dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or dropped into water, have a qualified
appliance repair person check it before any use.
Store your steamer after it has cooled down. Do not put away while the unit is still hot. Store in
a cool, dry area.
To reduce the likelihood of circuit overload, do not operate another high wattage appliance on
the same circuit.

One common problem with steamers is mineral build-up caused by a high mineral in many munic-
ipal water suppliers. Mineral residue inside of the internal pipes and heater of your steamer can
cause intermittent steaming or, in some cases, no steaming at all.
It is recommended to use only de-mineralized or distilled water. If you fill your steamer with tap
water, you may experience mineral build-up.
The procedures below can be used to reduce mineral build-up. If you are unable to use de-miner-
alized or distilled water, it is recommended to follow these procedures on a monthly basis.
Mix a solution of 50% vinegar and 50% water.
Slowly pour the water-vinegar solution into the water reservoir.
Allow standing for 3 minutes.
Plug in unit and allow it to heat for approximately 30 seconds.
Do not let the water come to a boil.
Let it cool down for at least 5 minutes.
Rinse well with fresh tap water.
Do this as necessary.
