chiatura, alla fine della propria vita utile, non deve essere trattata come un rifiuto

1 – INTRODUZIONE AL MANUALE
Il presente manuale di istruzioni è parte integrante dell’apparecchio, va
letto attentamente e deve essere sempre a disposizione per eventuali consul-
tazioni; va conservato per tutta la durata operativa dell’apparecchio.
In caso di smarrimento o deterioramento potrete richiedere un nuovo
manuale ad un CENTRO DI ASSISTENZA autorizzato.
All’interno vi sono le informazioni relative all’uso corretto del macinadosa-
tore, alla pulizia, alla manutenzione e fornisce importanti indicazioni per
lo svolgimento di operazioni da effettuarsi con particolare attenzione e per
eventuali rischi residui.
Il manuale rispecchia le innovazioni tecnologiche al momento della sua
redazione; il costruttore si riserva il diritto di apportare tutte le modifiche
tecniche necessarie ai propri prodotti e di aggiornare i manuali senza
l’obbligo di rivedere anche le versioni precedenti.

possano direttamente od indirettamente derivare a persone o cose in con-
seguenza:

2 – FUNZIONE DEL MACINADOSATORE
Questo apparecchio è stato progettato per la macinatura domestica di
miscele di caffè in grani adatte alla preparazione di caffè espresso.
L’utilizzatore deve aver letto attentamente e ben compreso le istruzioni
contenute nel manuale, in modo da fare funzionare correttamente l’ap-
parecchio.

E’ vietato rimuovere le protezioni e/o i dispositivi di sicurezza previsti
sull’apparecchio.
Disinserire la spina dalla presa di corrente quando l’apparecchio non
viene usato e prima di procedere alla sua pulizia, senza tirare il cavo di
alimentazione.
Non usare l’apparecchio se non funziona correttamente o se il cavo di
alimentazione o la spina sono stati danneggiati; si raccomanda di sostituire
il cavo di alimentazione o di far controllare l’apparecchio da un CENTRO
DI ASSISTENZA autorizzato.
Per evitare danni utilizzare solo accessori o ricambi omologati dal costrut-
tore.
Nel caso di guasti o imperfetto funzionamento dell’apparecchio spegnere
lo stesso evitando qualsiasi manipolazione e rivolgersi al CENTRO DI ASSI-
STENZA autorizzato per sostituire eventualmente con ricambi originali le
parti usurate o danneggiate.
Qualora vengano effettuati interventi di riparazione non autorizzati sull’ap-
parecchio o vengano utilizzati ricambi non originali, vengono a decadere
le condizioni di garanzia e pertanto la ditta costruttrice si riserva il diritto
di non riconoscerne più la validità.
Non usare l’apparecchio in ambienti esterni.
Non usare l’apparecchio per altro uso che non sia quello per cui è stato
costruito.
Prima di qualsiasi operazione di pulizia e manutenzione, disattivare l’ap-
parecchio portando l’interruttore di accensione nella posizione di spento e
togliere la spina dalla presa di corrente senza tirare il cavo di alimenta-
zione.
Per evitare incendi, scariche elettriche e danni personali, non immergere
nell’acqua l’apparecchio, il cavo di alimentazione o altri componenti elet-
trici.
In caso di incendio utilizzare estintori ad anidride carbonica (CO2). Non
utilizzare acqua o estintori a vapore.

- dose di caffè predeterminata per una tazza di espresso.
3 – AVVERTENZE DI SICUREZZA
L’utilizzatore deve attenersi alle norme di sicurezza vigenti nel Paese dove
l’apparecchio viene utilizzato, oltre alle regole dettate dal comune buon
senso ed alle prescrizioni contenute nel presente manuale.
Per garantire il corretto funzionamento dell’apparecchio ed il manteni-
mento nel tempo delle sue caratteristiche, si consiglia di verificare le giuste
condizioni ambientali (la temperatura ambiente deve essere compresa fra
5° e 35° C), evitando l’utilizzo dell’apparecchio in luoghi dove vengono
usati getti di acqua o in ambienti esterni sottoposti ad agenti atmosferici
(sole, pioggia, ecc.).
Dopo aver tolto il macinadosatore dall’imballo, assicurarsi che lo stesso sia
intatto e non abbia subìto danneggiamenti.
I componenti dell’imballaggio devono essere consegnati negli appositi
centri di smaltimento e in nessun caso lasciati incustoditi o alla portata di
bambini, animali o di persone non autorizzate.
Prima della messa in funzione dell’apparecchio, verificare che la tensione
di alimentazione specificata nella targhetta dati posta sotto la base dell’ap-
parecchio sia quella in uso nel Paese.
Collocare l’apparecchio in un luogo sicuro, su una base solida, lontano da
fonti di calore e dalla portata dei bambini.
Prima di collegare e scollegare l’apparecchio, assicurarsi che l’interruttore
di accensione sia in posizione spenta.
Evitare di far funzionare l’apparecchio senza caffè o quando è stata tolta
la campana.

3.1 – USO IMPROPRIO
In caso di uso improprio decade ogni forma di garanzia ed il costruttore
declina ogni responsabilità per danni a persone e/o cose.
E’ da considerarsi uso improprio:
- qualsiasi utilizzo diverso da quello dichiarato;
- qualsiasi intervento sull’apparecchio che sia in contrasto con le indica-
zioni riportate in questo manuale,
- qualsiasi utilizzo dopo manomissioni a componenti o ai dispositivi di
sicurezza;
- l’utilizzo dell’apparecchio in ambienti esterni.
3.2 – RISCHI RESIDUI
La ditta costruttrice declina ogni responsabilità per danni a cose, persone
o animali causati da eventuali interventi sull’apparecchio di persone non
qualificate o non autorizzate a queste mansioni.
Non togliere in nessun modo il cappuccio di protezione posizionato sul
selettore, al di sotto della campana, che limita l’accesso alla macina
rotante, per evitare lo schiacciamento o lo spappolamento delle dita.

8.2 – MODELLO JOLLY DOSATO
- Posizionare il portafiltro, con inserito il filtro, nell’apposita forcella (7)
del dosatore. (L’apparecchio è dotato di un riduttore (10) da posizionare
nella forcella (7) per adattarla alle dimensioni del portafiltro).
- Tirare lentamente la levetta (8) del dosatore fino alla fine della sua corsa,
per consentire la caduta nel filtro della quantità di caffè macinato pre-
determinata per una tazza di espresso.
Ripetere l’operazione se i caffè da realizzare sono due.
9 – OPERAZIONI DI PULIZIA
Oltre alla pulizia dopo ogni impiego, sottoporre di tanto in tanto ad una
pulizia più accurata la campana (2) ed il contenitore caffè macinato (4),
per la rimozione delle sostanze grasse.
Prima di qualsiasi operazione di pulizia e manutenzione, togliere il cavo
di alimentazione dalla presa di corrente.
9.1 – PULIZIA CARROZZERIA
Per pulire la carrozzeria dai residui di caffè e dallo sporco, usare un panno
umido, non abrasivo, senza alcol o solventi, per evitare il danneggiamento
delle parti in plastica, quelle verniciate o trattate.
9.2 – PULIZIA CAMPANA
Dopo aver svuotato la campana (2) da ogni chicco di caffè, toglierla dal
corpo dell’apparecchio tirandola verso l’alto; pulire l’interno con acqua e
sapone, asciugare accuratamente e reinserirla alla sommità dell’apparec-
chio.
Si raccomanda di non far funzionare l’apparecchio, per ragioni di sicu-
rezza, quando è privo di campana.
9.3 – PULIZIA CONTENITORE CAFFE’ MACINATO

Staccare il contenitore caffè macinato (5) dal corpo dell’apparecchio,
alzandolo verso l’alto fino a quando avverrà lo sganciamento dalla vite
di aggancio del contenitore; dopo aver tolto i residui delle polveri di caffè
macinato, pulire l’interno con acqua e sapone per rimuovere i residui di
caffè e le sostanze grasse, asciugare accuratamente e reinserire il conteni-

5 – ALLACCIAMENTO ELETTRICO
Attenzione! Prima di procedere all’allacciamento elettrico, bisogna
accertarsi che la tensione di alimentazione corrisponda alle caratteristi-
che indicate nella targhetta dati posta sotto la base dell’apparecchio.
6 – MESSA IN FUNZIONE DELL’APPARECCHIO
- Inserire la spina del cavo di alimentazione nella presa di corrente.
- Togliere il coperchio (1) della campana ed inserire il caffè in grani nella
campana (2).
- Premere l’interruttore (6) sulla posizione I, si accenderà la spia luminosa
all’interno che segnala che l’apparecchio è sotto tensione, contempora-
neamente avrà inizio la macinatura; quando si è macinata la quantità
di caffè desiderata premere l’interruttore sulla posizione Oper interrom-
pere la macinatura.
L’apparecchio è già predisposto per la macinatura tipo bar.
7 – REGOLAZIONE DELLA MACINATURA
Per una diversa regolazione della macinatura, ruotare la campana (2)
in senso orario per avvicinare le macine ed ottenere una macinatura più
fine, o antiorario per allontanarle ed ottenere una macinatura più grossa,
facendo riferimento alla scala del selettore di regolazione (3) inserita nella
base della campana.
8 – DOSATURA DEL CAFFE’
Il caffè macinato si deposita all’interno del contenitore (5).
Per riempire il filtro alloggiato nel portafiltro della macchina per caffè effet-
tuare le seguenti operazioni:
8.1 – MODELLO JOLLY
Togliere il coperchio (4) del contenitore caffè macinato (5) e prelevare, con
l’apposito misurino, la dose di caffè necessaria per preparare l’espresso.

Mettere un recipiente sotto la forcella del dosatore (7).
Tirare la levetta del dosatore (8) più volte fino a svuotare il contenitore caffè
macinato (5).
Staccare il contenitore dal corpo dell’apparecchio come segue:
- impugnare con una mano il contenitore (5)
- premere il pulsante (9) per sganciare il contenitore.
Pulire l’interno con acqua e sapone per rimuovere i residui di caffè e le
sostanze grasse, asciugare accuratamente e reinserire il contenitore nel
corpo dell’apparecchio procedendo in modo inverso.

1 – INTRODUCTION
This instruction manual is an integral part of the grinder, it should be read
carefully and should always be available for consultation; it should be kept
for the whole life of the grinder.
In case of lost or deterioration, you can ask for a new manual from an
authorised SERVICE CENTRE.
The manual contains the information regarding the proper use of the coffee
dosing grinder, to its cleaning and maintenance, and it supplies important
indications for carrying out operations requiring special attention and for
possible residual risks.
The manual reflects the technological innovations at the time of its
publishing; the manufacturer reserves the right to introduce all the technical
modifications required on its products and to update the manuals with no
obligation to also review the previous versions.
LA PAVONI S.p.A. declines any liability for damages that may be directly
or indirectly caused to people or things for the improper use of the coffee
grinder:
- failure to comply with all the prescriptions of the current safety regula-
tions;
- improper installation;
- improper voltage;
- illegitimate or incorrect use of the coffee dosing grinder;
- incorrect use as specified in this manual;
- serious maintenance shortcomings;
- alterations on the grinder or any unauthorised intervention;
- not original use of spare parts which are not especially meant for the
model;
- total or partial failure with the instructions;
- exceptional events.
2 – – FUNCTIONS OF THE COFFEE DOSING GRINDER
This grinder has been designed for the home grinding of whole coffee
blends suitable for the preparation of espresso coffee.
The user must read carefully and clearly understand the directions contai-
ned in the manual, so as to be able to use the grinder properly.

It is forbidden to remove from the grinder the safety protections and/or
devices provided for.
Unplug the grinder from the power socket when it is not in use and before
cleaning it, without pulling the electric cable.
Do not use the grinder if it is not working properly or if the electric cable or
the plug are damaged; the user is advised to replace the electric cable or to
have the grinder checked by an authorised SERVICE CENTRE.
To avoid damages use only accessories and spare parts that have been
approved by the manufacturer.
In case of grinder failure or faulty operation, switch it off. Do not try to
repair it yourself but refer to an authorised SERVICE CENTRE to have any
worn or damaged parts replaced with original spare parts.
In case of unauthorised repairs carried out on the grinder, or the use of non
original spare parts the guarantee is not valid anymore and the manufac-
turer will reserve the right to no longer acknowledge its validity.
Do not use the grinder outdoors.
Do not use the grinder for any use different from the one for which it has
been manufactured.
Before any cleaning or maintenance operation, disconnect the grinder by
placing the ON/OFF switch on the OFF position and remove the plug from
the power socket without pulling the power electric cable.
To avoid fires, electric shocks and personal damage, never immerse the
grinder, the electric cable or other electrical components in water.
In case of fire, use carbon dioxide (CO2) fire extinguishers. Do not use
water or steam extinguishers.

2.1 – GRINDER USE
The JOLLY models can supply:

- preset coffee dose for one cup of espresso coffee.
3 – SAFETY WARNINGS
The user has to follow the safety regulations in force in the country where
the grinder is in use, in addition to the rules suggested by common sense
and the directions contained in this manual.
In order to guarantee proper operation of the grinder and preservation
in time of its features, the user is advised to check the right environmental
conditions (room temperature must range between 5° and 35° C). To avoid
the use of the grinder in places where jets of water are used in outdoor
environments exposed to the action of the weather (sun, rain, etc.).
After removing the coffee dosing grinder from its packaging, make sure that
it is intact and it is not damaged.
The packaging must be delivered to the proper waste disposal centres and
in no case left unattended or to the reach of children or animals.
Before starting the grinder, make sure that the power supply voltage spe-
cified in the data plate placed under the base of the grinder is used in the
country.
Put the grinder in a safe place, on a solid base, away from heat sources
and out of the reach of children.
Before connecting and disconnecting the grinder, make sure that the ON/
OFF switch is on the OFF position.
Do not use the grinder without any coffee beans or when the bell jar is not
in its place.

3.1 – MISUSE
In case of misuse any form of guarantee is not valid and the manufactu-
rer declines any liability for damages to people and/or things
Will be regarded as misuse:
- any different use from the one declared;
- any intervention on the grinder that is not in line with the indications
listed in this manual;
- any use of the grinder that has been tampered with components or safety
devices;
- use of the grinder outdoors.
3.2 – RESIDUAL RISKS
The manufacturer declines any liability for damages to things, people or
animals, caused by any intervention on the grinder by non qualified people
or by people who have not been authorised to carry out such functions.
Do not remove in any case the safety cover placed on the selector, under
the bell jar. This is meant to prevent the access to the rotating grinder and
to avoid any injury

8.2 – JOLLY DOSATO MODEL
- Place the filter basket inside the filter-holder and together in the fork pro-
vided (7) into the dosing grinder (the device is equipped of one reducer
(10) to put into the fork (7) to fit to the dimensions of the filter-holder).
- Pull slowly the lever (8) of the dosing device as much as possible, to
allow delivery into the filter basket of the amount of ground coffee set
for one cup of espresso coffee.
Repeat the operation if you are preparing two cups of coffee.
9 – CLEANING OPERATIONS
Clean it after each use and sometimes carry out a more accurate cleaning
procedure on the bell jar (2) and on the ground coffee container (4), to
remove any oily substances.
Before conducting any kind of cleaning operation, unplug the electric
cable from the power socket..
9.1 – CASING CLEANING
To clean the grinder casing from coffee powder and dirt, use a damp cloth,
non abrasive cloth, without alcohol or solvents, to avoid damaging the
plastic, painted or treated parts.
9.2 – BELL JAR CLEANING
After having emptied the bell jar (2) from any coffee beans, remove it from
the body of the grinder by pulling it upwards; clean the inside with soapy
water, dry carefully and fit it back on the grinder.
For safety reasons, we recommend not to use the grinder without the
bell jar
9.3 – GROUND COFFEE CONTAINER CLEANING

Remove the ground coffee container (5) from the body of the grinder, pulling
it upwards until it comes off from the container fastening screw; after having
removed any ground coffee powder, wash the inside with soapy water to
remove any coffee residues and oily substances, dry carefully and put the
container back in its place, insuring that it fits into the fastening screw.

5 – ELECTRIC CONNECTION
Warning! Before making the electric connection, make sure that the main
power voltage corresponds to the specifications indicated on the data
plate placed under the base of the grinder.
6 – STARTING THE GRINDER
- Insert the plug of the electric cable in the power socket..
- Remove the lid (1) of the bell jar and fill the bell jar (2) with coffee
beans.
- Place the switch (6) on the I position; the internal warning light shows
that the grinder is on, at the same time, grinding will start; once the
desired amount of coffee has been ground, place the switch on the O
position to stop the grinding process.
The grinder is already set on bar-type grinding.
7 – GRINDING REGULATION
To change the grinding regulation, turn the bell jar (2) clockwise to bring
the grinders closer and obtain a finer grinding, or anticlockwise to distance
them and obtain a coarser grinding; please refer to the regulation selector
scale (3) that you will find on the base of the bell jar.
8 – COFFEE DOSING
Ground coffee will deposit inside the container (5).
To fill the filter basket placed in the coffee machine filter-holder, follow the
steps outlined below:

Remove the lid (4) of the ground coffee container (5) and, with the aid of
the measuring spoon provided, take the amount of coffee powder required
to prepare the espresso coffee.

Place the container under the dosing grinder fork (7).
Pull the dosing grinder lever (8) as many times as required to empty the
ground coffee container (5).
Remove the container from the body of the grinder as follows:
- seize the container (5) with one hand
- press the button (9) to release the container
- pull it out.
Wash the inside with soapy water to remove any coffee residues and oily
substances, dry it carefully and fit the container back in its place on the
body of the grinder by following the above steps in the reverse order.

2 – FONCTIONS DU MOULIN A CAFE DOSEUR
Cet appareil a été conçu pour la mouture domestique de mélanges de cafés
en grains adaptés pour la préparation du café espresso.
