So simple to operate that a first aider with minimal
training can help save the life of a co-worker, friend,
member of the family or the public.
Easy to use
HeartStart First Aid analyses the patient’s heart rhythm.
Calming natural voice instructions coach the first aider
through the steps of first aid defibrillation. If required,
calming instructive voice prompts will also guide the
user in delivering CPR.
Safe
HeartStart First Aid will not allow shock to be applied
unless a shockable rhythm has been detected.
Always ready
Comprehensive automatic self-tests check all the
HeartStart First Aid’s vital functions on a daily, weekly
and monthly schedule, so as to ensure that HeartStart
First Aid is always ready for emergency life saving.

• Call 000 if patient is unresponsive
and not breathing normally

APPLY PADS
• Remove pads from cartridge and
apply to patient’s bare chest

HEARTSTART ANALYSES
RHYTHM
• Clear voice prompt will inform
you whether or not a shockable
rhythm has been detected
• Orange light will flash if shock is needed

SHOCK
• Press orange button
to administer shock
• Do not touch patient

CPR
• Perform CPR if necessary
• Press blue button if CPR
voice prompts required
TURN ON HEARTSTART
• Retrieve HeartStart First Aid Defibrillator
• Turn it on by pulling green handle
• Follow the calming and instructive
voice prompts
