Il termometro frontale a infrarossi LAICA rileva il calore generato dalla fronte per indicare la temperatura
corporea del paziente. L’innovativa modalità a distanza lo rende ideale per le misurazioni sui bambini, anche
durante il sonno. É facilissimo da usare,permette di rilevare la temperatura corporea, la temperatura ambientale
e quella dei liquidi. Con ampio display LCD retro illuminato in tre colori diversi in base alla temperatura rilevata.
Nota bene: la temperatura mostrata dal display equivale alla temperatura ascellare.

La febbre deve essere considerata un sintomo e non una malattia: in genere, è il segnale che l’organismo
sta combattendo contro un’infezione. Essa, infatti, rappresenta una reazione di difesa dell’organismo
caratterizzata dall’aumento della temperatura corporea oltre i 37°C e dall’aumento della frequenza
cardiaca e respiratoria. La temperatura normale dell’interno dell’organismo è di circa 37,5°C e tale è
infatti il valore misurato con metodo rettale; la temperatura misurata nella bocca è inferiore di 0,5°C
circa (37°C) mentre quella ascellare è inferiore di 1°C (36,5°C). Da questo si deduce l’importanza di una
corretta rilevazione della temperatura che va effettuata con mezzi validi e possibilmente non in momenti in
cui la temperatura dell’organismo potrebbe essere fisiologicamente più elevata (al risveglio, dopo i pasti).
In un soggetto sano la temperatura è influenzata da molteplici fattori:
• valore individuale della persona (metabolismo individuale);
• età (nei lattanti e nei bambini piccoli la temperatura corporea è più elevata e si abbassa con l’avanzare dell’età).
Nei bambini la temperatura varia con maggiore intensità, rapidità e frequenza;
• abbigliamento;
• temperatura esterna;
• ora del giorno (al mattino la temperatura corporea è più bassa e aumenta nel corso della giornata);
• attività motoria e psichica effettuata;
• metodo di misurazione;
• fase del ciclo mestruale.
É necessario tenere presente che il termometro e la persona devono trovarsi già nella stanza in
cui si effettuerà la misurazione almeno 30 minuti prima di prendere la temperatura. La temperatura
della stanza deve essere compresa tra 15°C e 40°C (59°F e 104°F).
Nella tabella riportata qui di seguito viene presentato un elenco delle temperature medie “normali”:
si raccomanda comunque di abituarsi a riconoscere la propria temperatura normale quando si
sta bene fisicamente in modo da poter interpretare i diversi valori rilevati.

Ogni tipo di termometro si presta alla misurazione della temperatura corporea in uno specifico punto
del corpo: il termometro frontale solo alla misurazione sulla fronte; il termometro auricolare solo alla

4) Non esporre il termometro a temperature estreme, ai raggi diretti del sole e non conservarlo in prossimità di
fonti di calore. Conservare in luogo asciutto e pulito.
5) Non toccare con le dita la sonda e non smontare il termometro.
6) Non usare il termometro frontale per rilevare la temperatura rettale, orale o ascellare.
7) La precisione della misurazione può essere compromessa da: sudorazione accentuata della fronte, assunzione
di farmaci vasocostrittori, irritazioni cutanee e presenza di capelli o cappelli sulla fronte.
8) Pulire la fronte dove sarà puntata la sonda prima di ogni rilevazione.
9) Rilevare la temperatura lontano dalla luce diretta del sole e dal vento.
10) Questo termometro deve essere usato per rilevare la temperatura della fronte (ad una distanza di 1-5 cm).
11) Tenere il termometro in mano troppo a lungo può causare una rilevazione più bassa della temperatura corporea
da parte della sonda.
12) Non rilevare la temperatura nei trenta minuti successivi alla pratica di attività fisica e dopo il bagno.
13) Non rilevare la temperatura frontale dopo aver messo un impacco freddo sulla fronte del paziente per far
abbassare la temperatura, la misurazione risulterebbe falsata.
14) L’apparecchio potrebbe fornire misurazioni non accurate se usato in condizioni di temperatura o umidità al di
fuori dei limiti indicati nel paragrafo “Caratteristiche tecniche”.
15) Non usare in prossimità di forti campi magnetici, quindi tenere lontano da impianti radio o telefoni mobili (per
maggiori informazioni sulle interferenze vedi paragrafo “Linee guida e dichiarazione del produttore”).
16) Quando in uso NON toccare contemporaneamente il paziente e le batterie.
UTILIZZO IN SICUREZZA DELLE BATTERIE
• Rimuovere le batterie se non si usa il prodotto per lunghi periodi di tempo e conservarle in un luogo fresco e
asciutto a temperatura ambiente.
NON usare batterie ricaricabili.
NON esporre mai le batterie a fonti di calore e alla luce diretta del sole.L’inosservanza di questa indicazione può
danneggiare e/o fare esplodere le batterie.
NON gettare le batterie nel fuoco.
• La rimozione o sostituzione delle batterie deve essere effettuata da persone adulte.
• Tenere le batterie lontano dalla portata dei bambini: l’ingestione delle batterie costituisce pericolo mortale.
In caso di ingestione consultare immediatamente un medico.
• L’acido contenuto nelle batterie è corrosivo. Evitare il contatto con la pelle, gli occhi o gli indumenti.

ISTRUZIONI PER L’USO
INSERIMENTO/SOSTITUZIONE DELLA BATTERIA
Il presente termometro funziona con 2 batterie alcaline da 1.5V tipo AAA.
Al primo utilizzo, e quando il display mostra il simbolo della batteria , procedere con l’inserimento
e/o la sostituzione delle batterie. Aprire il vano batterie facendo scivolare il coperchio nella direzione della
freccia, inserire le batterie tenendo presente la polarità indicata e chiudere il coperchio. Smaltire le batterie
scariche come indicato nel paragrafo “Procedura di smaltimento”.

Nota bene: non immergere mai la sonda in nessun tipo di liquido.
MODALITÀ RILEVAZIONE SILENZIOSA
Questo termometro permette di rilevare la temperatura in modalità silenziosa rendendolo ideale per le
misurazioni sui bambini anche durante il sonno.
1) Accendere il termometro premendo il tasto “SET”: il display visualizza la funzione di rilevazione
temperatura frontale (Body).
2) Premere nuovamente il tasto “SET”: il display visualizza in successione la scritta “OFF” e il simbolo
lampeggiante.
3) Procedere con la misurazione come descritto nei paragrafi precedenti.
4) Per attivare il segnale acustico, accendere il termometro premendo il tasto “SET”: il display visualizza la
funzione di rilevazione temperatura frontale (Body).
5) Premere nuovamente il tasto “SET”: il termometro emette un segnale acustico e il display visualizza
in successione la scritta “On” e il simbolo lampeggiante che rimane visualizzato durante la
misurazione successiva.
FUNZIONE MEMORIA
Il presente apparecchio mantiene in memoria le ultime 50 misurazioni effettuate per valutare eventuali
variazioni. Le misurazioni vengono memorizzate automaticamente. Superate le 50 misurazioni, vengono
automaticamente cancellati i dati più vecchi. Per richiamare le misurazioni memorizzate premere il tasto
“MEMO”, ogni pressione del tasto fa scorrere i dati in memoria: il numero 1 si riferisce alla rilevazione più
recente, il 50 alla rilevazione più vecchia. L’apparecchio si spegne automaticamente dopo circa 18 secondi
di non utilizzo. È possibile cancellare i dati memorizzati: ad apparecchio acceso tenere premuto il tasto
“MEMO” fino a quando il display visualizza “CLr”, il termometro emette un segnale acustico e il display
visualizza la funzione di rilevazione temperatura frontale (Body).
IMPOSTAZIONI DEL TERMOMETRO
• UNITÀ DI MISURA - FUNZIONE “F1”
Questo termometro può misurare la temperatura in Celsius e Fahrenheit.
1) Accendere il termometro premendo il tasto “SET”: il display visualizza 37.0°C. Tenere premuto il tasto fino a
quando il display visualizza “F1”.Al rilascio del tasto il display visualizza “Unit”.
2) Premere il tasto “MEMO” o “MODE” per selezionare l’unità di misura e premere il tasto “SET” per confermarla:
il display visualizza “F2”.
ISTRUZIONI PER UN USO CORRETTO
RILEVAZIONE DELLA TEMPERATURA FRONTALE (Body)
Attenzione!
Al fine di garantire un’accurata rilevazione della temperatura, pulire la sonda in ogni sua parte con un
bastoncino cotonato imbevuto di alcool dopo ogni utilizzo. Assicuratevi che la sonda sia perfettamente
asciutta prima dell’uso.
UNA INADEGUATA PULIZIA DELLA SONDA PUÒ CAUSARE RILEVAZIONI DI TEMPERATURA NON
ATTENDIBILI.
1) Pulire ed asciugare la fronte dove viene puntata la sonda.
2) Puntare la sonda al centro della fronte poco sopra lo spazio tra le sopracciglia, ad una distanza di circa 1-5 cm.
3) Premere il tasto “O/I”, sul display, appariranno tutti i simboli di funzione (autotest); subito dopo l’apparecchio
emette un segnale acustico e il display visualizza immediatamente il valore misurato.
Il display di colore verde indica una temperatura normale (compresa tra 34 e 37.3°C / 93.2-99.1°F), il colore
giallo indica la presenza di febbre (temperatura compresa tra 37.4 e 38°C / 99.3-100.4°F), il colore rosso
indica febbre elevata (con temperatura compresa tra 38.1 e 43°C / 100.6-109.4°F).
Il display visualizza il simbolo quando la temperatura corporea misurata è inferiore a 37.4°C (99.3°F) e il
simbolo quando è superiore.
Quando la temperatura supera 37.4°C il termometro emette 4 brevi segnali acustici.
La temperatura mostrata dal display equivale alla temperatura ascellare.
4) L’apparecchio si spegne automaticamente dopo circa 18 secondi.
Attendere almeno un secondo tra una misurazione e la successiva.
Dopo 5 misurazioni consecutive, attendere almeno 30 secondi prima di effettuare una nuo
va rilevazione.
RILEVAZIONE DELLA TEMPERATURA AMBIENTALE, DI SUPERFICI E LIQUIDI CALDI (Surface)
Questo termometro permette di rilevare la temperatura ambientale, di superfici o liquidi caldi (come latte, acqua,...).
1) Accendere il termometro premendo il tasto “MODE”. Sul display appare "37.0°C (Body)".
2) Premere nuovamente il tasto “MODE”: sul display appare la scritta “Surface”.
3) Per rilevare la temperatura avvicinare il termometro alla superficie interessata (contenitore acqua, latte,...)
ad una distanza di circa 1-5 cm, premere il tasto "O/I", l'apparecchio emette un segnale acustico e il display
visualizza immediatamente il valore misurato.
4) L’apparecchio si spegne automaticamente dopo circa 18 secondi di non utilizzo. Quando viene riacceso, il
display visualizza la funzione di rilevazione temperatura frontale (Body).
Attendere almeno un secondo tra una misurazione e la successiva.
Dopo 5 misurazioni consecutive, attendere almeno 30 secondi prima di effettuare una nuova rilevazione.

• “ALLARME FEBBRE ELEVATA” – FUNZIONE “F2”
È possibile impostare la temperatura minima segnalata come “allarme febbre elevata”. Il termometro è
impostato per segnalare questo allarme, display di colore rosso, a partire da 38.1°C.
1) Quando il display visualizza “F2” rilasciando il tasto “SET” sul display lampeggia 38.1°C, aumentare la
temperatura impostata col tasto “MEMO” o diminuirla col tasto “MODE”. Confermare il dato premendo il tasto
“SET”, il display visualizza “F3”.
• MODALITÀ RILEVAZIONE SILENZIOSA - FUNZIONE “F3”
È possibile impostare la modalità rilevazione silenziosa.:
1) Quando il display visualizza “F3”, al rilascio del tasto “SET” il display visualizza la scritta “On” e il simbolo
lampeggiante. Premere il tasto “MEMO” o “MODE” per togliere il segnale acustico: il display visualizza “Off” e
il simbolo lampeggiante. Confermare premendo il tasto “SET”, il display visualizza “F4”.
• FUNZIONE “F4”
Per soddisfare le diverse caratteristiche della popolazione mondiale o le diverse condizioni ambientali, è
possibile aumentare o diminuire i parametri di misurazione del termometro.
1) Quando il display visualizza “F4” al rilascio del tasto "SET" il display visualizza 0.0°C.
2) Aumentare il dato di 0.1°C premendo il tasto “MEMO” o diminuirlo di 0.1°C premendo il tasto “MODE”.
Confermare il dato premendo il tasto “SET”, il display si spegne.
L’impostazione predefinita del termometro è 0.0°C, la gamma di regolazione dei parametri è
compresa tra -5°C e + 5°C.

Prima e/o dopo ogni utilizzo pulire la sonda del termometro con un bastoncino cotonato imbevuto di alcool
per assicurare rilevazioni accurate. La sonda è la parte più delicata del termometro; prestare particolare
attenzione durante le fasi di pulizia. Lasciar asciugare completamente la sonda per almeno 30 minuti. Il
corpo del termometro deve essere pulito con un panno morbido e asciutto. IL CORPO DEL TERMOMETRO
NON DEVE ESSERE LAVATO CON ACQUA. Non usare assolutamente prodotti abrasivi, né immergere il
termometro nell’acqua o in altri liquidi. Conservare il termometro in un luogo asciutto e pulito, lontano
dalla luce diretta del sole.

PROCEDURA DI SMALTIMENTO (Dir.2012/19/Ue-RAEE)
Il simbolo posto sul fondo dell’apparecchio indica la raccolta separata delle apparecchiature
elettriche ed elettroniche. Al termine della vita utile dell’apparecchio, non smaltirlo come rifiuto
municipale solido misto ma smaltirlo presso un centro di raccolta specifico situato nella vostra
zona, oppure riconsegnarlo al distributore all’atto dell’acquisto di un nuovo apparecchio dello
stesso tipo ed adibito alle stesse funzioni. Nel caso in cui l’apparecchio da smaltire sia di
dimensioni inferiori ai 25 cm, è possibile riconsegnarlo ad un punto vendita con metratura
superiore ai 400 mq senza l’obbligo di acquisto di un nuovo dispositivo similare. Questa procedura di
raccolta separata delle apparecchiature elettriche ed elettroniche viene effettuata in visione di una politica
ambientale comunitaria con obiettivi di salvaguardia, tutela e miglioramento della qualità dell’ambiente e
per evitare effetti potenziali sulla salute umana dovuti alla presenza di sostanze pericolose in queste
apparecchiature o ad un uso improprio delle stesse o di parti di esse. Attenzione! Uno smaltimento non
corretto di apparecchiature elettriche ed elettroniche potrebbe comportare sanzioni.
Per lo smaltimento corretto delle batterie (Dir.2013/56/Eu) non gettare le batterie nei rifiuti domestici ma
smaltirle come rifiuto speciale presso i punti di raccolta indicati per il riciclo. Per maggiori informazioni circa
lo smaltimento delle pile scariche contattare il negozio dove è stato acquistato l’apparecchio che conteneva
le batterie, il Comune oppure il servizio locale di smaltimento rifiuti.

Il presente apparecchio è garantito 2 anni dalla data di acquisto che deve essere comprovata da timbro
o firma del rivenditore e dallo scontrino fiscale che avrete cura di conservare qui allegato. Tale
periodo è conforme alla legislazione vigente ("Codice del Consumo" D. Lgs. nr. 206 del 06/09/2005)

4) Do not expose the thermometer to extreme temperatures, to the direct rays of the sun and do not store it near
sources of heat. Store in a dry and clean place.
5) Do not touch the probe with your fingers and do not dismantle the thermometer.
6) Do not use the forehead thermometer to measure rectal, oral or underarm temperatures.
7) Measurement precision can be compromised by: accentuated sweating of the forehead, the intake of
vasoconstrictive drugs, skin irritations and the presence of hair or a hat on the forehead.
8) Clean the forehead where the probe will be pointed before each recording.
9) Measure the temperature away from direct sunlight and from wind.
10) This thermometer must be used to record the temperature of the forehead (at a distance of 1-5 cm).
11) Holding the thermometer in your hand for too long can cause a lower recording of body temperature by the
probe.
12) Do not measure temperature for thirty minutes after physical activity or after a bath.
13) Do not record the forehead temperature after placing a cold pack on the patient's forehead to lower the
temperature as the reading would be distorted.
14) The appliance may provide inaccurate readings when used in temperature or humidity conditions outside the
limits indicated in the "Technical Specifications" paragraph.
15) Do not use near strong magnetic fields and keep away from radio systems or mobile phones (for more
information on interferences see paragraph "Guidelines and declaration of the manufacturer").
16) When in use DO NOT touch the patient and the batteries at the same time.
SAFE USE OF BATTERIES
• Remove the batteries if the device is not used for long periods of time and keep them in a well-ventilated and
dry place, at room temperature.
Do NOT use rechargeable batteries.
NEVER expose the batteries to sources of heat or direct sunlight. Failure to observe these instructions may result
in damage to and/or the explosion of the batteries.
Do NOT throw the batteries into an open flame.
• Batteries must always be removed or replaced by adults only.
• Keep batteries out of reach of children: the ingestion of batteries can cause serious harm and death. If a battery
is swallowed, seek urgent medical care.
• The acid in batteries is corrosive. Avoid contact with the skin, eyes or garments.
FEVER
Fever should be considered a symptom and not a disease. In general, it is a sign that the body is fighting an
infection. In fact, it is a defence mechanism of the body characterised by an increase in body temperature
above 37°C and increased heart and breathing rates. Normal temperature within the body is about 37.5°C
and this is in fact the value measured with the rectal method. The temperature measured in the mouth
is about 0.5°C less (37°C) while the underarm recording is 1°C less (36.5°C). From this we can deduce
the importance of a correct recording of the temperature that should be carried out by valid means, and
if possible not at a time when the body temperature may be increased for physiological reasons (upon
waking, after meals).
In a healthy person the temperature is affected by many factors:
• individual character of the person (individual metabolism)
• age (infants and toddlers' body temperature is higher and decreases with age) In children, the temperature
varies with greater intensity, speed and frequency;
• clothing
• outside air temperature
• time of day (in the morning body temperature is lower and increases during the day)
• motor and mental activities carried out
• measurement method;
• phase of the menstrual cycle
It should be noted that the thermometer and the person must have both been in the room, in
which the measurement will take place, at least 30 minutes before taking the temperature.
Room
temperature must be between 15°C and 40°C (59°F and 104°F).
The table below shows a list of "normal" average temperatures:
however it is recommended to
familiarise yourself with your own normal temperature when you are physically well so that you
can interpret the different values recorded.

Each type of thermometer lends itself to the measurement of body temperature at a specific point of
the body: the forehead thermometer only for forehead measurement; the ear thermometer only for

Depending on the point where the measurement is made, a different temperature value is obtained.
The variation can be between 0.2-1°C. You can not compare the temperatures measured with different
measuring methods. It is therefore necessary to consider in case of self-diagnosis or to report to your doctor
what type of thermometer and in which point of the body the temperature has been measured.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR PROPER USE
FOREHEAD TEMPERATURE RECORDING (Body)
Attention!
In order to ensure accurate recording of the temperature, clean the probe in its entirety with a cotton swab
moistened with alcohol after each use. Make sure that the probe is completely dry before use.
IMPROPER CLEANING OF THE PROBE CAN CAUSE UNRELIABLE TEMPERATURE RECORDINGS
1) Clean and dry the forehead where you will be positioning the probe.
2) Point the probe at the centre of the forehead just above the space between the eyebrows, at a distance of
approximately 1-5 cm.
3) Press the "O/I" key, all the function symbols (self-test) will appear on the display; immediately after the
appliance emits an acoustic signal and the display immediately shows the measured value.
The green display indicates a normal temperature (between 34 and 37.3°C/93.2-99.1°F), the yellow colour
indicates the presence of fever (temperature between 37.4 and 38°C/99.3-100.4°F), the red colour indicates
high fever (with temperature between 38.1 and 43°C/100.6-109.4°F).
The display shows the symbol when the measured body temperature is below 37.4°C (99.3°F) and the
symbol when it is higher.
When the temperature exceeds 37.4°C the thermometer emits 4 short beeps.
The temperature shown on the display is equivalent to the underarm temperature.
4) The appliance switches off automatically after approximately 18 seconds.
Wait at least one second between one measurement and the next.
After 5 consecutive measurements, wait at least 30 seconds before performing a new recording.
RECORDING OF THE TEMPERATURE OF THE ENVIRONMENT, SURFACES AND WARM LIQUIDS (Surface)
This thermometer allows recording of the temperature of the environment, of surfaces or of hot liquids (such
as milk, water, ...).
1) Turn on the thermometer by pressing the "MODE" key.The display shows "37.0°C (Body)".
2) Press the "MODE" key again: "Surface" appears on the display.
3) To measure the temperature, bring the thermometer close to the relevant area (water, milk container, ...) at a
distance of approximately 1-5 cm, press the "O/I" key, the appliance emits an acoustic signal and the display
immediately shows the measured value.
4) The appliance switches off automatically after approximately 18 seconds of non-use. When it is switched on
again, the display shows the forehead temperature measurement function (Body).
Wait at least one second between one measurement and the next.
After 5 consecutive measurements, wait at least 30 seconds before performing a new recording.
N.B.: Never immerse the probe in any kind of liquid.
SILENT MEASUREMENT MODE
This thermometer records the temperature in silent mode making it ideal for measurements on children
even during sleep.
1) Turn on the thermometer by pressing the "SET" key: the display shows the
forehead temperature
measurement function (Body).
2) Press the "SET" key again: the display shows the word "OFF" and the flashing symbol in
succession.
3) Proceed with the measurement as described in the previous paragraphs.
4) To activate the acoustic signal, turn on the thermometer by pressing the "SET" key: the display shows the
forehead temperature measurement function (Body).
5) Press the "SET" key again: the thermometer emits an acoustic signal and the display shows successively
the word "On" and the flashing symbol that remains displayed during the next measurement.
MEMORY FUNCTION
This appliance stores the last 50 measurements to assess any changes. Readings are automatically stored.
Once 50 readings have been exceeded, the oldest data is automatically deleted.
To recall the stored readings, press the "MEMO" key. Each press of the key scrolls the data in the memory:
number 1 refers to the most recent reading, 50 to the oldest one.The appliance switches off automatically
after approximately 18 seconds of non-use.
It is possible to delete the stored data: when the appliance is on, keep the "MEMO" key pressed until
the display shows "CLr", the thermometer emits an acoustic signal and the display shows the
forehead
temperature measurement function (Body).
THERMOMETER SETTINGS
• MEASURE UNIT - "F1" FUNCTION
This thermometer can measure temperature in Celsius and Fahrenheit.
1) Turn on the thermometer by pressing the "SET" key: the display shows 37.0°C. Keep the key pressed until the
display shows "F1". When the key is released, the display shows "Unit".
2) Press the "MEMO" or "MODE" key to select the unit of measurement and press the "SET" key to confirm it: the
display shows "F2".
• "HIGH FEVER ALARM" – "F2” FUNCTION
It is possible to set the minimum temperature signalled as "high fever alarm". The thermometer is set to signal this

alarm, red display, starting from 38.1°C.
1) When the display shows "F2" releasing the "SET" key, 38.1°C flashes on the display, increase the set
temperature with the "MEMO" key or decrease it with the "MODE" key.Confirm the data by pressing the "SET"

• SILENT MEASUREMENT MODE - "F3" FUNCTION
It is possible to set the silent measurement mode:
1) When the display shows "F3", when the "SET" key is released the display shows the word "On" and the symbol
flashing. Press the "MEMO" or "MODE" key to remove the acoustic signal: the display shows "Off" and
the symbol flashing. Confirm by pressing the "SET" key, the display shows "F4".
• "F4" FUNCTION
To meet the different characteristics of the world population or the different environmental conditions, it is possible
to increase or decrease the measurement parameters of the thermometer.
1) When the display shows "F4" when the "SET" key is released, the display shows 0.0°C.
2) Increase the data by 0.1°C by pressing the "MEMO" key or decrease it by 0.1°C by pressing the "MODE" key.
Confirm the data by pressing the "SET" key, the display goes out.
The default thermometer setting is 0.0°C, the parameter adjustment range is -5°C to + 5°C.
MAINTENANCE
Before and/or after each use, clean the probe of the thermometer with a cotton swab moistened with
alcohol to ensure accurate readings. The probe is the most delicate part of the thermometer, pay particular
attention to it during cleaning.
Allow the probe to dry completely for at least 30 minutes. The body of the thermometer should be cleaned
with a soft, dry cloth. THE BODY OF THE THERMOMETER MUST NOT BE WASHED WITH WATER.
Never use abrasive products and do not immerse the thermometer in water or other liquids.
Keep the thermometer in a clean, dry place, away from direct sunlight.

centre located in your area or returning it to the distributor, when buying a new device of

WARRANTY
This equipment is covered by a 2-year warranty starting from the purchase date, which has to be

This warranty period complies with the laws in force and applies only in case the consumer is an
individual. Laica products are designed for domestic use only; therefore, their use for commercial
purposes is forbidden. The warranty covers only production defects and does not apply, if the damage
is caused by accidental events, misuse, negligence or improper use of the product.
Use the supplied accessories only; the use of other accessories invalidate the warranty cover. Do
not open the equipment for any reason whatsoever; the opening or the tampering of the equipment,
definitely invalidate the warranty.
Warranty does not apply to parts subject to tear and wear along the use, as well as to batteries, when
they are included. Warranty decays after 2 years from the purchase date. In this case, technical service
interventions will be carried out against payment. Information on technical service interventions, under
warranty terms or against payment, may be requested by writing at [email protected].
Repair or replacement of products covered by the warranty terms are free of charge. In case of faults,
refer to the dealer; DO NOT send anything directly to LAICA.
All interventions covered by warranty (including product replacement or the replacement of any of
its parts) shall not be meant to extend the duration of the original warranty period of the replaced
product. The manufacturer cannot be made liable for any damages that may be caused, directly or

10) Este termómetro debe usarse para medir la temperatura de la frente (a una distancia de 1-5 cm).
11) Mantener el termómetro en la mano durante demasiado tiempo puede causar una detección más baja de la
temperatura corporal por parte de la sonda.
12) No mida la temperatura en los treinta minutos sucesivos a la práctica de actividad física y después del baño.
13) No medir temperatura frontal después de haber puesto un compresa fría en la frente para hacer bajar la
temperatura, la medición resultaría falsa.
14) El aparato podría suministrar mediciones no precisas si se usa en condiciones de temperatura o humedad fuera
de los límites indicados en el apartado “Características técnicas”.
15) No use en las proximidades de fuertes campos magnéticos, por lo tanto tenga alejado de instalaciones de radio

USO EN SEGURIDAD DE LAS BATERÍAS
• Quitar las baterías si no se usa el producto por largos períodos de tiempo y conservarlas en un lugar fresco y
seco a temperatura ambiente.

NO exponer nunca las baterías a fuentes de calor y a los rayos directos del sol. El incumplimiento de esta

FIEBRE
La fiebre debe ser considerada un síntoma y no una enfermedad: en general, es la señal que el organismo
está combatiendo contra una infección. De hecho, la misma representa una reacción de defensa del
organismo caracterizada por el aumento de la temperatura corporal por encima de los
37°C y por el
aumento de la frecuencia cardíaca y respiratoria. La temperatura normal en el interior del organismo es
de unos 37,5°C y tal es, de hecho, el valor que se mide con el método rectal; la temperatura medida en
la boca es inferior en unos 0,5°C (37°C) en tanto que la axilar es inferior en un 1°C (36,5°C). De ello se
deduce la importancia de una correcta toma de la temperatura, que debe efectuarse con medios válidos
y, a ser posible, no en los momentos en los que la temperatura del organismo podría ser fisiológicamente
más elevada (al despertar, después de las comidas).
En un sujeto sano la temperatura está influenciada por múltiples factores:
• valor individual de la persona (metabolismo individual);
• edad (en los lactantes y en los niños pequeños la temperatura corporal es más elevada y se reduce con el paso
de la edad). La temperatura varía con mayor intensidad, rapidez y frecuencia en los niños;
• ropa;
• temperatura externa;
• hora del día (por la mañana la temperatura corporal es más baja y aumenta durante el día);
• actividad motoria y psíquica efectuada;
• método de medición;
• fase del ciclo menstrual.
Es necesario tener en cuenta que el termómetro y la persona deben estar ya en la estancia en la
que se realizará la medición al menos 30 minutos antes de tomar la temperatura.
La temperatura
de la habitación debe estar comprendida entre 15°C y 40°C (59°F y 104°F).
En la tabla que figura a continuación se presenta una lista de las temperaturas medias "normales": así
pues,
se recomienda habituarse a reconocer la propia temperatura normal cuando se está bien
físicamente a fin de poder interpretar los distintos valores detectados.
