1 Basic Instructions
1.1 Status of the Installation Instructions
Product installation instructions are enclosed by the manufacturer or supplier in order to provide the customer
or fitter with the essential knowledge necessary for correct and safe installation. These brief installation in-
structions are intended to clarify basic mechanical installation steps and to illustrate the principal differences
between the door operator versions for telescopic 2-panel and central 2-panel. Electrical connection, commis-
sioning and adjustment of the door control unit are expressly not components of these instructions.
1.2 Copyright
We reserve all rights pertaining to these technical documents. It is prohibited to reproduce them, make them
available to third parties or to use them in any other unauthorised manner without our prior agreement.
Changes require our express prior and written agreement.
1.3 Instructions in the Installation Manual
All instructions in the installation manual absolutely must be adhered to.
1.4 Informal Measures by the Fitter
The fitter installing the system is him/herself responsible for participating in training. He/she must immediately
inform the manufacturer/supplier of missing or damaged delivered parts.
1.5 Requirements of Installation Personnel
Persons responsible for installation and maintenance should be familiar with the generally applicable safety
and work-hygiene regulations. They should be familiar with Langer & Laumann products. Installation tools are
to be properly functional and measuring instruments must be subject to continuous checks.

2 Procedure
Replacement of Schindler Varidor10 door operator with a Langer & Laumann Ing. Büro GmbH door
operator (TSG).
3 Advantages
-A very well-priced package.
-Simple and quick replacement of a defective control unit and motor with a Langer & Laumann
Ing. Büro GmbH door operator (TSG).
-Few mechanised parts required.
-All required parts are included in the delivery
-The conversion can be carried out very quickly and simply.
-The electrical wiring can be carried out even by fitters with little experience
-No hand-held terminal is required for parameterisation. All parameters can simply be set on the
device.
-Easy calibration.
-The conversion kit is stored in the Langer & Laumann Ing. Büro GmbH as stock.

5 Conversion instructions
1. Please remove all parts from the packaging and check you have all the required parts according to
the parts list.
2. Remove old drive motor, belt and spreading shank actuator (leave the sliding nuts in the track, as
these will be used again)
3. Remove old pulleys (plastic) on spreading shank and attach reversing lever (Pos. 11) to the spread-
ing shank (see also Figure 3: Schindler Varidor10 post-conversion: Spreading shank / door panel
coupler)
4. Attach pulleys to the reversing lever.
5. Mount the TSG drive motor on the large combi-bracket.
6. Mount the TSG end stopper on the large combi-bracket.
7. Mount curved plate (Pos. 3) on the flat bracket for curved plate (Pos. 4).
8. Mount the flat bracket for curved plate (Pos. 4) with the help of a 90° bracket (Pos. 5) and spacer
(Pos. 6) on the base mounting plate (with mounting link for curved plate) (Pos. 2).
9. Mount large combi-bracket on the base mounting plate (with mounting link for curved plate) (Pos. 2)
and attach to the aluminium track on the door automation (see also Figure 2: Schindler Varidor10
post-conversation: Curved plate for shank)
10. Mount slim combi-bracket (Pos. 7) on the opposite side mounting plate (Pos. 8).
11. Mount counter pulley with tension device on slim combi-bracket (Pos. 7).
12. Mount TSG end stopper with the short bracket end stopper (Pos. 9) on the narrow combi-bracket
(Pos. 7).
13. Attach opposite side mounting plate (Pos. 8) to the aluminium track on the door automation (see also
Figure 4: Schindler Varidor10 post conversion: Opposite side).
14. Attach door panel coupler to the door panel.
15. Fit toothed belt, connect to the belt coupling and tighten with the tension device on the opposite side.
16. Position stoppers (buffers).
17. Attach pulleys to curved plate and reversing lever, so that the spreading shank only shuts the door to
the closed position in the final moment of the door movement.
18. Please refer to the TSG instruction manual enclosed for information regarding the set-up of the elec-
trics.
