For your Safety
• Follow all instructions to maintain Manufacturer Warranty and for your own safety.
• There are no user replacement parts inside the product. Do not open the product for
any reason. This will invalidate your Manufacturer Warranty and may impair the safety
features of the product.
• All Lanta products designed for indoor use. Under no circumstances must these
products be used outdoors unless the product specification specifically defines the
product as being water resistant.
• Do not expose this product to moisture, rain or other fluids.
• Do not use if the product if you suspect it has been damaged in any way, including
being dropped, is malfunctioning, or has been exposed to liquids or moisture. The unit must
be repaired by an authorised service centre only. Manufacturer Warranty is void if the unit is
opened or adapted in any way. Operator safety may be compromised if this product is not
operated and maintained in accordance with the details contained in this Owner Handbook.
• This appliance must be earthed. Do not remove the earth connection in the plug or any
other location- it is essential for user safety.
• Be aware that products are mains powered and may be capable of producing high
voltages from its outputs and has mains voltages inside the cabinet.
Product Installation, Use & Maintenance
• Keep this Owner Handbook safe for future reference.
• Clean the product with a clean and dry, non-abrasive cloth. Do not use solvents or
liquids to clean the product.
• To prevent overheating, do not obstruct any ventilation opening, fan cover or vent. Do
not install near any sources of heat such as radiators, heaters or other heat producing
items such as amplifiers, power units etc.
• Never lift, move or carry the product by any other means other than the case as a
whole or handle if provided.
• Power connection to the product is via a UK 240 Volt AC three-pin mains plug. Do not
remove or adapt this plug. If necessary, only replace the plug top fuse with one of the
same type, size and value.
• The mains lead must not be crushed or damaged. If any damage occurs, disconnect
from the mains immediately. Replace the damaged cable, or if the mains lead is
captive, return the product to an authorised repair centre for cable replacement. Do
not attempt to repair the cable - it must be discarded and destroyed.
• To maintain the Manufacturer Warranty, only attach authorised accessories and external
devices. This includes cables, connectors and other electrical and/or mechanical devices.
• Unplug the product from the mains during lightning storms or periods of mains
fluctuations. If the product is going to be unused for long periods, unplug from the mains.

Product Quality & Compliance
Products from Lanta Lighting meet all required safety standards in force at the time of
manufacture and are fully compliant with them.
Unpacking & Inspection
• Inspect the packaging before opening. If the packaging appears to have sustained
significant damage, please take extra care before using the product. If you are in any
doubt, consult a suitably qualified professional.
• If you suspect the product has been damaged, do not use it. Return it to your original
supplier without delay.
• Keep all packaging in a safe place for storage or transportation in future.
Manufacturer Warranty
• This Manufacturer Warranty is valid in the UK only.
• Lanta Lighting warrants that this product is free from workmanship defects and material
failure during normal use and operation for a 12 month period from original date of
sale, providing all of the terms indicated in the warranty section have been fully
complied with. Please refer to your suppliers T&C’s for warranty details.
• Expressly excluded is our liability for any directly connected or indirectly connected item
or items or any consequential loss associated with the failure of the product however
caused.
• If the product has been opened, modified, tampered with, incorrectly connected,
used inappropriately or in conflict with the instructions herein, or the product model
or serial number has been damaged, removed, tampered with, obliterated or made
partly unreadable by any person or persons, the Manufacturer Warranty is irrevocably
null and void.
• No extension, adaption, alteration or modification to the terms of this Manufacturer
Warranty will be permitted, unless expressly authorised in writing (excluding email and
fax) by a Director of Lanta Lighting. Warranty is transferrable during the Warranty period.

IMPORTANT!
Battery Operated Products
Some Lanta products include an internal battery for portable use. These batteries are
high energy rechargeable devices and for safety and product performance purposes
these batteries have a permanent connection between the appliance and the battery.
The batteries are constructed from Lithium Ion materials, a much safer product than
older generation primary Lithium batteries. Great care must be exercised when handling
and disposing of these batteries and they must only be accessed and/or serviced by an
authorised Lanta service centre.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO ACCESS, MODIFY OR DISPOSE OF THE BATTERY!
End of life disposal of the product and/or the battery must not be disposed
in domestic rubbish or other non-specific recycling centre.
Only disposal sites that fully conform to the requirements of the EU Battery
Directive are permitted to recycle these products and batteries.

Getting to know your Lanta product
The Lanta LED Gyro Ball™ effects light features 6 colour LEDs for seamless colour mixing. It
has built in colour switching, fading and pattern sequencing. A range of features can be
DMX controlled from any of the Lanta DMX controllers or equivalent products.

Operating Modes
To select the mode of operation there is a 4 button keypad and 4 digit LED display on
the front of the unit. To begin press the MENU button, each subsequent press will progress
through the various settings. UP/DOWN buttons will allow you to scroll in each direction.
Press ENTER to select an option, the UP/DOWN for the required setting then press ENTER
button to confirm. Waiting for 10 seconds or holding down the MENU will return to the main
menu with the DMX address being displayed. If no button is pressed for 30 seconds the
display will turn off.
Auto Run Mode
If there is no DMX signal, in ‘Master mode’ the light will run an auto show and sound mode
will also be active if set.
Press MENU until the display shows “Slnd”, press enter followed by UP/ DOWN to select
“nast” to set as Master. Other lights can be connected and set to slave ‘Sl1’ to run the
same as the ‘Master’ unit or ‘Sl2’ to run a contrasting display.
Press MENU until the display shows “Shnd”, press ENTER followed by UP / DOWN to select
either “Shou” for sound mode or “Auto” followed by ENTER and UP / DOWN to set a speed
value between “SP1” & “SP9”
Press MENU until the display shows “SenS”, press ENTER followed by UP / DOWN to set the
sound sensitivity between 1-100.
DMX Mode
You can control the devices individually via your DMX-controller. Press the “MENU”
button until it shows “Addr”, press the ‘ENTER’ the display will flash and you can then use
“UP/DOWN” to select the required DMX address, then select “ENTER” to set.
Press “Menu” until the display shows “Chnd” then “ENTER” followed by “UP/DOWN” to “3Ch”
or “11Ch” mode. Press “ENTER” to save the setting. Wait 10 seconds, or hold down the
“Menu“ button to return to the main menu.

Other Functions
Press “MENU” until the display shows “Led” then “ENTER” followed by “UP/DOWN” to turn the
display “on” or “off”. In off mode, the display will blank if no button is pressed with 10 seconds.
Press “MENU” until the display shows “diSp” then “ENTER” to invert the display.
Press “MENU” until the display shows “test” then “ENTER” to run a test sequence.
Press “MENU” until the display shows “hour” then “ENTER” to display total working time.
Press “MENU” until the display shows “ uer” then “ENTER” to show program version.
