For your Safety
• Follow all instructions to maintain Manufacturer Warranty and for your own safety.
• There are no user replacement parts inside the product. Do not open the product for
any reason. This will invalidate your Manufacturer Warranty and may impair the safety
features of the product.
• All Lanta products designed for indoor use. Under no circumstances must these
products be used outdoors unless the product specification specifically defines the
product as being water resistant.
• Do not expose this product to moisture, rain or other fluids.
• Do not use if the product if you suspect it has been damaged in any way, including
being dropped, is malfunctioning, or has been exposed to liquids or moisture. The unit must
be repaired by an authorised service centre only. Manufacturer Warranty is void if the unit is
opened or adapted in any way. Operator safety may be compromised if this product is not
operated and maintained in accordance with the details contained in this Owner Handbook.
• This appliance must be earthed. Do not remove the earth connection in the plug or any
other location- it is essential for user safety.
• Be aware that products are mains powered and may be capable of producing high
voltages from its outputs and has mains voltages inside the cabinet.
Product Installation, Use & Maintenance
• Keep this Owner Handbook safe for future reference.
• Clean the product with a clean and dry, non-abrasive cloth. Do not use solvents or
liquids to clean the product.
• To prevent overheating, do not obstruct any ventilation opening, fan cover or vent. Do
not install near any sources of heat such as radiators, heaters or other heat producing
items such as amplifiers, power units etc.
• Never lift, move or carry the product by any other means other than the case as a
whole or handle if provided.
• Power connection to the product is via a UK 240 Volt AC three-pin mains plug. Do not
remove or adapt this plug. If necessary, only replace the plug top fuse with one of the
same type, size and value.
• The mains lead must not be crushed or damaged. If any damage occurs, disconnect
from the mains immediately. Replace the damaged cable, or if the mains lead is
captive, return the product to an authorised repair centre for cable replacement. Do
not attempt to repair the cable - it must be discarded and destroyed.
• To maintain the Manufacturer Warranty, only attach authorised accessories and external
devices. This includes cables, connectors and other electrical and/or mechanical devices.
• Unplug the product from the mains during lightning storms or periods of mains
fluctuations. If the product is going to be unused for long periods, unplug from the mains.

Product Quality & Compliance
Products from Lanta Lighting meet all required safety standards in force at the time of
manufacture and are fully compliant with them.
Unpacking & Inspection
• Inspect the packaging before opening. If the packaging appears to have sustained
significant damage, please take extra care before using the product. If you are in any
doubt, consult a suitably qualified professional.
• If you suspect the product has been damaged, do not use it. Return it to your original
supplier without delay.
• Keep all packaging in a safe place for storage or transportation in future.
Manufacturer Warranty
• This Manufacturer Warranty is valid in the UK only.
• Lanta Lighting warrants that this product is free from workmanship defects and material
failure during normal use and operation for a 12 month period from original date of
sale, providing all of the terms indicated in the warranty section have been fully
complied with. Please refer to your suppliers T&C’s for warranty details.
• Expressly excluded is our liability for any directly connected or indirectly connected item
or items or any consequential loss associated with the failure of the product however
caused.
• If the product has been opened, modified, tampered with, incorrectly connected,
used inappropriately or in conflict with the instructions herein, or the product model
or serial number has been damaged, removed, tampered with, obliterated or made
partly unreadable by any person or persons, the Manufacturer Warranty is irrevocably
null and void.
• No extension, adaption, alteration or modification to the terms of this Manufacturer
Warranty will be permitted, unless expressly authorised in writing (excluding email and
fax) by a Director of Lanta Lighting. Warranty is transferrable during the Warranty period.

IMPORTANT!
Battery Operated Products
Some Lanta products include an internal battery for portable use. These batteries are
high energy rechargeable devices and for safety and product performance purposes
these batteries have a permanent connection between the appliance and the battery.
The batteries are constructed from Lithium Ion materials, a much safer product than
older generation primary Lithium batteries. Great care must be exercised when handling
and disposing of these batteries and they must only be accessed and/or serviced by an
authorised Lanta service centre.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO ACCESS, MODIFY OR DISPOSE OF THE BATTERY!
End of life disposal of the product and/or the battery must not be disposed
in domestic rubbish or other non-specific recycling centre.
Only disposal sites that fully conform to the requirements of the EU Battery
Directive are permitted to recycle these products and batteries.

Getting to know your Lanta Product
The Lanta Orion Link Batt 500™ lighting fixture features 10mm LEDs for seamless colour
mixing. It has a built in colour fading, fading and pattern sequencing. A range of features
can be DMX controlled from any of the LANTA DMX controllers or equivalent products.

Operating Modes
The Lanta Orion Link Batt 500™ has Five distinct operating modes. To select these, use
the “Mode” button to enter the menu. The “Setup” button steps through specific settings
for each operating mode.
1- In-built Program Mode
1. Press mode until it shows Pr**, you can select from 20 different built-in Programs. Press
“SETUP” and “UP” “DOWN” buttons to select the programs (from Pr01 to Pr20). and
select the desired program values.
2. When Pr01 is set, press “SETUP” and then “UP” or “DOWN” to choose from the nine
static colours.
3. When Pr02 to Pr20 are selected, press “SETUP” and then “UP” “DOWN” buttons to set
the values for running speed (SP00-SPFL) and strobe (FS00-FS99).
2- Auto Run Mode
1. Press “MODE” button to select “AUTO” The fixture will run the built-in programs Pr02-
Pr20 automatically.
3- Slave Mode
1. Press “MODE” button to select “SLAv” to run slave mode. Once connected via DMX it
will follow the Settings of the master fixture.
4- DMX Mode
1. Press the “MODE” button until it shows “d001”, this means DMX address is 001, you
can change the DMX address by pressing the “UP” and “DOWN” buttons.
2. There are 5 DMX modes. 3ch, 5ch, 12ch 2ch & 7ch. Press “SETUP” and then “UP” and
“DOWN” buttons to switch between these DMX modes

5- Sound Active Mode
1. Press “MODE” button to select “Soud” to enter sound mode. Press “SETUP” and then
use the “UP” and “DOWN” buttons to adjust the sensitivity values SU01-SU31.
6- Static Colour Mode
1. Press “MODE” button to select “Colr” to enter a static colour. Each press of “SETUP”
will cycle through R/G/B255, and then you can adjust the values by the “UP” and
“DOWN”buttons.
7- Power Charging
Press “MODE” button to select “Chge” then “SETUP” to display the charge percentage
000 – 100.
The battery is an 11.1V, 2.6Ah Lithium Ion battery, which requires 2 hours to fully charge
and then will provide up to 6 hours operation depending on the mode set. When the
power switch is on the green LED’s will give a visual indication of power remaining.
100%-80%, 60%, 40%, 20% When remaining power is less than 20% the red LED will
flash.
Do not leave the battery discharged for long periods of time. To maximise battery life, it
should be recharged as soon as possible after use and every 3 months if not in regular
use.
In the event the battery requires attention, DO NOT attempt to remove it yourself. Refer
to your authorised Lanta Service Department.
8- Remote Control
The IR Remote will allow you to control your Lanta Orion Link Batt 500 without the need
for a controller. Note – You will need to point the remote towards the receiver eye on
the front face of the light for it to work.
Press the “AUTO” button to set the light to run in Auto mode as described in section 2.
Press “AUTO” and then the “PRG” button to select the built-in programs. Use “+” & “-” to
select “Pr01” – “Pr09”.
When using built-in programs, press the “SPEED” button and then “+” & “-” to enter a
speed value setting between “SP05” & “SPFL”.

When using built-in programs, pressing the “STROBE” button will set the light to Strobe.
Using “+” & “-” will allow adjustment of a value between “FS05” & “FSFL”. Press it again to
turn off Strobe.
Press the “SOUND” button to activate sound mode and then “+” & “-” to set a value
between “SU01” & “SU31”.
Press “Dimming” and then either “R” “G” “B” to select Colour Dimming mode. Set a
brightness value “0”~“255” using the “+” & “-“ buttons. Note: In the RGB version the “W”
& “A” buttons have no function.
Press any of the number buttons to select a static colour. When not in Colour Dimming
mode, “R” “G” “B” “A” “W” refer to Red, Green, Blue, Amber & White static colours
respectively.

Once individually set, a group of lights can then be controlled via the remote or via
DMX to display the stored colour.
Press “ON/OFF” to turn the light off, press it again to turn it back on. Previous values will
be retained.
Note:
1. When in DMX mode and SLAVE mode there is no IR remote function.
2. To reset the light, press and hold the “MODE” & “SETUP” buttons at the same time
for 2-3 seconds or using the remote press “ON/OFF”+”9”+8”+”7” Display reverts to
“AUTO” . All settings will be factory default values.
