responsible for any damage to personnel, property or equipment when using the tools. Incorrect use will also invalidate
the warranty.
If applicable, the applications database and any instructional information provided has been designed to offer general
guidance for a particular tool’s use and while all attention is given to the accuracy of the data no project should be
attempted without referring first to the manufacturer’s technical documentation (workshop or instruction manual) or the
use of a recognised authority such as Autodata.

Changing the Oil
1. Note: It is recommended to change the hydraulic oil once per year.
2. Lay the jack on its side and drain the fluid into a suitable container.
3. Dispose of used oil following local authority guidelines.
4. Refill until oil level is 4mm above the inner cylinder as seen from the oil filler hole.
5. Refer to “First Use” section above and follow the instructions to purge the
hydraulic system to eliminate any trapped air in the system.
6. Check oil level again and top up if necessary.
Keep the jack clean and dirt-free. Regularly check the hydraulic ram and
mechanism for signs of dirt and/or corrosion. Clean as necessary and ensure that
no abrasive materials are used near the hydraulic ram.

Assembly
1. Assemble the two-piece handle and secure.
2. Insert handle (E) into handle socket on trolley jack; tighten the handle securing
screw (F).
Note: Do not lift or carry jack by handle; handle may dislodge and the jack falls,
causing possible injury or property damage.
Operation
1. The handle Eis connected to the hydraulic release valve D.
2. Turn handle clockwise until firm resistance is felt, then stop turning. This is the
closed release valve position; pumping the handle up and down will raise the
saddle A.
3. To open the release valve and thus lower the saddle, turn handle slowly
anticlockwise. Note: the lowering speed is controlled by the amount the operator
turns the handle; lower very carefully, no more than ½ turn from the closed
position.
1. Before attempting to use the jack, first purge the hydraulic system to eliminate any
trapped air in the system.
2. Lift off Parts Tray Bto gain access to the hydraulic reservoir.
3. Remove oil plug C.
4. With the handle turned anticlockwise and the release valve in the open position,
pump handle 6 to 8 full strokes.
5. Check oil level then refit oil plug C. Note: See instructions below for checking oil
level - only replenish reservoir if necessary with good quality hydraulic jack oil.
Safety Precautions
• Do not exceed rated capacity.
• Use only on hard, level surface; avoid tarmac or asphalt as jack may sink.
• Chock vehicle wheels but ensure that the wheels of the trolley jack can move
freely.
• Lift only on areas of vehicle as specified by the vehicle manufacturer (refer to
vehicle handbook).
• Check that the lifting point is stable and centred on the jack saddle/pad.
• CAUTION: Use the trolley jack for lifting only — not for supporting the lifted
vehicle.
• Use correctly rated axle stands under the vehicle to support the lifted vehicle.
• Before lowering, ensure there are no tools or other obstructions under the vehicle.
• After removing jack from under the vehicle, lower the lifting arm completely to
reduce hydraulic ram exposure to contamination.
• DO NOT operate the jack if it is damaged.
• DO NOT exceed the rated capacity of the jack.
• DO NOT use the jack to roll or move the vehicle.
• DO NOT work under the vehicle until it is fully supported with axle stands.
• DO NOT use the jack for purposes other than which it is intended.
Maintenance
Note: When the jack is not in use, ensure that the lifting arm and handle are in
their lowest positions to minimise dirt ingress and corrosion of the hydraulic ram.
Checking oil level:
1. With lifting arm in its lowest position lift off Parts Tray Bto gain access to the
hydraulic reservoir.
2. Remove oil plug C.
3. Oil level is 4mm above the inner cylinder as seen from the oil filler hole. Add
hydraulic jack oil if necessary.
4. WARNING: DO NOT add or fill with brake fluid or any other fluid other than high
quality hydraulic jack oil — this may cause serious damage and sudden failure of
the jack during lifting. It will also invalidate the warranty.
