LeapFrog Electronic flash magic User manual

Dear Parent,
We at LeapFrog know that you are your child’s most important
teacher. Our goal is to help you build an environment for your
child that is rich in experiences—one that encourages discovery
and fosters learning success.
We have developed learning toys that are designed to teach
fundamental skills such as math, language arts, science and social
studies to Grade School students. Our products feature a
hands-on, multi-sensory approach to learning. Children can see,
hear, touch, and interact with our learning toys. The products are
designed to adapt to the skill level of each child, and provide
positive feedback that encourages children to explore and learn at
their own pace.
LeapFrog® learning toys are designed to grow alongside your
child through each stage of development. All are made with the
same playful spirit that promotes a lifelong love of learning. For
additional information on how to make learning fun and effective,
visit our Web site (www.leapfrog.com), where you’ll find tips from
parents and educators. We hope you’ll join us there.
Sincerely,
Mike Wood
President
LeapFrog Enterprises, Inc.
Educational Focus:
Master multiplication tables from 0-12 and division tables from 1-12!
Multiplication facts 0x0=0 through 12x12=144
Division facts 1÷1=1 through 12÷12=1
Every child needs a solid foundation in basic computational skills in
order to succeed in higher-level mathematics and problem solving.
Multiplication and division are essential building blocks on which more
complex concepts are built. Electronic Flash Magic flash cards have
been designed to help your child gain mastery of these basic concepts
and skills while having fun.
Your child’s interest in mathematics is important to his or her
success in school. Here are some ways you can help develop your
child’s math skills:
•Highlight the importance of math in everyday life. Work with your
child to solve problems by using math. For example, if you are having
a family get-together, solve math-related questions with your child:
How many guests are coming? Do we need to bring out the folding
chairs? How many forks, knives and spoons will we need? How many
servings of soup?
•If you help your child do math work, remember to praise him or her
often. Saying things like “That was a good try” or “You got the first
part of the problem right” go a long way toward helping build your
child’s confidence in his or her growing math aptitudes.
