Installation
1. Removethecoverbytwistingitoffthebase.
2. Selectthebestlocationandsecurelyfixthebasetotheceilingwith2screws.
Note:thealarmpullcordisnotdesignedforwallmounting.
3. Ifpossiblescrewintoawoodenjoist,ifnotcavityfixingswillberequired.
4. Knotthecordsoonetriangleiswithinnormalreachandtheotherjustabovefloorlevel.
5. Cutofftheexcesscord.

ItisnecessarytoregisteranalarmpullcordontotheReachat‐homealarmunit,Adventxtwardencall
orAltecResponse.Seethefollowingpagesforhowtoputeachoftheseproductsintoregistrationmode.
Therangeofallradiodevicescanbeaffectedbytheworkingenvironment‐alwaystakecareduringinstallationand
performseveraltestcallsfromallextremesofthebuilding.
BatteryLife
ThealarmpullcordcontainsalonglifeLithiumbattery.Thebatteryischeckedonceaday,ifthevoltagefallsandstaysbelowa
presetlevelfor7consecutivedaysalowbatteryalertisautomaticallytransmitted.Oncealowbatterycallisreceivedthealarm
pullcordshouldbereplacedwithin7days.AlarmpullcordsmustbereturnedtoTynetec/Aidcallforbatteryreplacement.
