Important Information about your Instrument
Read and follow the User Manual on the accompanying USB documentation card before
using the product or the accessories delivered with the product.
To ensure safety when using the system on a machine, please also observe the directions
and instructions contained in the User Manual and Safety Handbook issued by the machine
manufacturer.
Keep for future reference!
Intended use • Determining the position of a drill bit, a piling rig, an excavator bucket, a dozer or grader
blade, a snow groomer blade or a roller wheel.
• Calculating the distance between the blade, bucket or tower and a reference model
(surface, line or point).
• Logging a surface or points to create an as-built report.
• Acoustic and visible indication of the bucket position.

Description of buttons,
2D mode Button Description
Increases/decreases slope in Y-direction.
Increases/decreases slope in X-direction.
Increases/decreases offset.
Read and save setup height.

Reset button. Used for setting the reference level and resetting earlier
values in the menu.
Selecting a bucket.
Quick settings. Up to 10 user settings can be stored.
X-direction Used for setting the X-direction.
Return to the 3D main menu.

3D mode
Navigation button. Allows you to navigate through the menus.
Press left/right arrows to move between bucket items.

These buttons offset the reference model vertically up or down.
One push of the button equals 1 cm.
Opens the excavator’s internal system with the "select bucket" menu
open.

Opens a display window for the excavator’s internal system. It is not
possible to adjust the excavator’s system settings in this mode. Press the
button again to close the window.
Opens the excavator’s internal system. The system is still in 3D mode
(GPS). The excavator’s system settings can be changed.
Navigation button. Allows you to navigate through the menus.
Press left/right arrows to change the bucket’s reference point.

4Operation
Mount and Power-On
the iCP41
To power-on the iCP41 it must be mounted in the cradle. Perform the following steps to
install and start the iCP41.
Step Description
Snapping the iCP41 onto the cradle:
1. Put the iCP41 on the holding hooks in the bottom of the cradle.
2. Insert the iCP41 into the cradle. Make sure it snaps in place!

Turning the iCP41 On and Off:
3. Turn it ON/OFF via the power switch. This switch is located at the right side of the
cradle.
Releasing the iCP41 will also turn off the power!

To detach iCP41 from the cradle:
4. To release the iCP41 simply press the release button at the bottom of the cradle.
Then pull the iCP41 towards you and lift it up.
