The PowerHOUSE™ Terrapin Station II™ Power Distribution Box meets stringent UL, NEC and OSHA requirements
for indoor or outdoor construction site applications where ground fault protection and weather resistance is
needed. This user manual reviews the proper use of the locking and non-locking output receptacle versions. Please
take time to review all precautions and warnings in the manual prior to making the proper connections for use.
Store this manual in a safe location for future reference.
Unpacking and Inspection
Before you begin your installation check the shipment carefully to conrm it arrived complete and undamaged.
1. Check the contents against the packing list to ensure the device is the correct model
2. Check the unit for loose or broken components, which might have resulted from shipping
3. Inspect for signs of damage to wiring devices or circuit breakers

Step 1: Locating the Terrapin Station II™
WARNING
– Before making connections to the PowerHOUSE™ Terrapin Station II™ make certain the power
source feeding the box is OFF.
– DO NOT exceed the voltage rating (250 VAC MAX)
– The PowerHOUSE™Terrapin Station II™ is designed to be used in indoor or outdoor locations
– The PowerHOUSE™ Terrapin Station II™ should rest on its own legs on a level surface
– DO NOT locate the box in any areas prone to standing water
Step 2: Making Connections
NOTE: If using the feed thru feature, connect the feed thru BEFORE the input connection is made.
Making the input connections
– Fully attach the female connector to the male inlet of the Terrapin Station II™. Turn the connector clockwise
until it is fully locked.
Making the load side connections
– Fully insert the male plug into the female receptacle on the Terrapin Station II™. For NEMA locking devices turn
the connector clockwise until it is fully locked.
Step 3: Powering Up the Terrapin Station II™
Best practices dictate that loads are applied gradually the rst time the system is set up. If the circuit breaker
cannot be energized or trips, check the system for continuity, short circuits and overload, and make the necessary
corrections before proceeding.
NOTE: The Terrapin Station II™ is shipped with breakers in the ‘O/OFF’ position
1. Turn on the power source
2. Turn on the rst individual circuit breaker to the ‘I/ON’ position
3. Ensure the green LED for the appropriate GFCI is ON
4. Ensure the devices fed by that circuit are ON
5. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for the remaining circuit breakers

If there is no power at receptacles:
1. Ensure that connections are in place and tight
2. Ensure that power source is live
a. Activate if not on
3. Ensure that circuit breakers are ‘I/ON’
4. If a circuit breaker trips, identify source of short circuit or overload and correct before resetting circuit breaker
a. Check to see if the circuit is overloaded and reduce loads as needed
b. Check for short circuits in the cabling or load device and correct as needed
5. Ensure GFCIs are set
a. Check to see if the green LED on the GFCI is on
b. A lit green LED indicates the GFCI is operating correctly and providing power
6. If a GFCI trips, identify source of current leakage and correct before resetting the GFCI
a. Check to see if the circuit is overloaded and reduce loads as needed
b. Check for short circuits in the cabling or load device and correct as needed
7. If there is still no power at receptacles:
a. Remove Terrapin Station II™ from use
b. Contact Lex Products for next course of action
