Let’s get started. This guide includes
information to program your Cricket
phone and start your service. Please
see the accompanying manufacturer’s
user guide and Muve Music experience
guide for additional information about
your phone. If you have any additional

Tip: It is recommended that you have a
strong cell signal – at least four bars –
when you begin programming your phone.
Be sure to insert your SIM card and battery
into your device. Once it is fully charged and
powered on, simply follow these steps to
activate your LG Optimus Regard™.
When you turn on your device you’ll be
prompted to activate your phone, as well
as adjust your settings and account setup.
Simply follow the steps on your screen
to proceed through the self-activation
process.
If you are unable to activate your device
through these steps, please try Over
The Air Activation (page 3) or Manual
Programming.

Before you begin Over The Air Activation,
please insert your SIM card and battery into
the LG Optimus Regard™ and make sure your
phone is fully charged.
Tip: If you would like to transfer your existing
phone number to your Cricket service, please call
1-866-351-PORT (7678) after you complete your
activation.
OVER THE AIR ACTIVATION
Recommended in order to access all features of
your phone.
2Dial *228 and tap the
“Call” button. Next you
will be taken to an
Activation Screen.

the bottom of the Home

activation process for

Tip: Due to network availability, the process may
take multiple tries to complete. If your initial
activation does not go through, please
repeat steps 1–5.
Your LG Optimus Regard™ phone is now
ready to use.
This will begin your
new phone’s activation
process. Be sure to listen
closely for the activation
confirmation.

Once successfully
activated, you’ll hear the
message, “Your phone is
now programmed, thank
you for calling Cricket.”

INSTRUCTIONS
To manually activate your Cricket phone,
simply follow these steps.
Once your battery is charged, call
1-800-CRICKET (1-800-274-2538) from
a dierent phone to speak with a Cricket
representative.

Charge your battery overnight.

Read these instructions and have a pen
ready before you call to set up service.

Tip: If Over The Air Activation is unsuccessful, you
may use Manual Programming to activate basic
talk and text service. However, in order to
activate the full features and data capabilities
of your phone, please visit a Cricket store or call
1-800-CRICKET (1-800-274-2538).
Before you begin Manual Activation, please
insert your SIM card and battery into the LG
Optimus Regard™ and make sure your phone
is fully charged.

The Cricket representative will give
you the numbers below, so make sure
you’re ready to write them down, as
you will need them later:

Your 10-Digit Cricket Phone Number (MDN)
Your 10-Digit Cricket Mobile Identification
Number (MIN)
Your 1 to 5-Digit Cricket System ID (SID)

Tip: Please don’t start Step 5 until you have all of
your information from Step 4.

Turn on your phone
using the Power button.

Enter ##626*(##NAM*)
to access Number
Assignment Module
(NAM) Programming.

Touch the phone icon on
the bottom of the Home
Screen to begin the manual
activation process for your
phone.

You will be prompted to
“Please enter password,”
which you’ll do by entering
333333 (six times) and
pressing “OK.”

You will be taken to
the manual screen.
Press “Edit.”

Your 10-Digit Cricket Phone Number (MDN)
Your 10-Digit Cricket Mobile Identification
Number (MIN)
Your 1 to 5-Digit Cricket System ID (SID)

12 The MIN entry box will
automatically pop up.
Enter your new 10-digit
Cricket MIN number that
you received from the
Cricket representative
and hit “OK.”

The MDN entry box will
pop up automatically.

Enter your new 10-digit
Cricket phone number
that you received from
the Cricket representative
and hit “OK.”

16 You will be returned to
the Manual home screen
and then need to click
“Done.” The device will
automatically restart.
14 The SID entry box will
pop up automatically.
15 Enter the 1 to 5-digit
SID number that you
received from the
Cricket representative
and hit “OK.”
