Quick Share
You can take a picture or record a video and then share it through an
app.
1 Tap , then take a photo or record a video.
2 Tap the app icon that appears on the screen. You can also swipe
the icon towards the opposite direction to see what other apps
you can use to share your photos and videos.
A The app displayed by Quick Share may vary, depending on the type
and frequency of access of the apps installed on the device.

Mini view
The Mini view feature allows you to shrink the Home screen into a
mini window to make your device easier to use with just one hand.
To set up and activate
1 Tap > Settings > General > Mini View and swipe to
activate it
A : Close the Mini view.
A : Adjust the size of the Mini view.

Dual window
The Dual window function splits the screen to enable multi-tasking,
drag and drop interaction, auto-linking, and recently used apps.
Activating the Dual window
1 Tap Settings General Dual window.
2 Swipe to activate it.
A Activate the Auto-open button to automatically open the Dual
window function when you tap a link on the full screen or tap
an email image attachment.
Using the Dual window
1 Tap Dual window.
A While viewing an app, you can tap Dual window to
automatically set that app in the top window, then select the
second app.
2 Tap the app icon you want to use. The first app you tap opens in
a window at the top of the screen. The second app opens in the
bottom window.
3 Tap a window to select and use it.
A A blue box appears around the selected window with a blue
semicircle handle between the windows.
A Drag the blue handle to change the window sizes (one larger and
one smaller).

QuickMemo+
QuickMemo+ overview
You can make creative notes by using a variety options on this
advanced notepad feature, such as image management and
screenshots, which are not supported by the conventional notepad
apps.
Creating a note
1 Tap QuickMemo+.
2 Tap to create a note.
A : Save a note.
A : Undo the last action.
A : Redo the last action you undid.
A : Enter a note by using the keypad.
A : Write notes by hand.
A : Erase handwritten notes.
A : Edit or erase parts of a handwritten note.
A : Access additional options, including sharing and locking
notes, changing the notepad style and inserting content.
3 Tap to save the note.
Writing notes on a photo
1 Tap QuickMemo+.
2 Tap to take a photo, then tap DONE INSERT.
A The photo is attached into the notepad.
3 Write notes on the photo.
4 Tap to save the note.

1 While viewing the screen you want to capture, drag the status bar
downwards and then tap .
A The screenshot appears as the notepad background theme.
Memo tools appear at the top of the screen.
2 Take notes as desired.
A To crop and save a portion of the screen, tap and specify a
portion with the crop tool.
A To attach a screenshot to the notepad, tap .
3 Tap and save the notes to the location you want.
A Saved notes can be viewed in either QuickMemo+ or Gallery.
A To save notes in the same location all the time, select the Use
as default app checkbox and select an app.
Managing folders
You can group notes by the note type.
1 Tap QuickMemo+.
2 At the top of the screen, tap and select a menu item:
A All memos: View all the notes saved in QuickMemo+.
A My memos: View notes created by QuickMemo+.
A Pop Scanner: View notes created by .
A Capture+: View notes created by .
A Trash: View deleted notes.
A New category: Add categories.
A : Rearrange, add or delete categories. To change the name of
a category, tap the category.
A Some folders do not appear when launching QuickMemo+ for
the first time. Disabled folders are enabled and appear when they
contain at least one related note.

QSlide
You can display several apps simultaneously on the same screen and
switch between them.
For example, use the calculator or calendar when a video is playing.
When an app is running, tap QSlide.
A This feature may not be supported by some apps.
A : Turn off the QSlide mode to switch to full-screen mode.
A : Adjust the opacity of the QSlide window. If the QSlide window
is transparent, it will not respond to touch inputs.
A : Close the QSlide window.
A : Adjust the size of the QSlide window.

Pen Pop
The Pen Pop feature allows you to quickly and easily access options
to create a memo. Pull the pen out and Pen Pop opens.
Setting up Pen Pop
Tap Settings General Pen.
Pen Pop options
A : Hide/display the Pen Pop options.
A : Open the Pop Memo to write a memo.
A : Open the Capture+ and use the current screen image in a
memo.
A : Open the Pop Scanner to capture a photo with the camera and
use it in a memo.
A : Open the QuickMemo+ and view current memos.
A : Add a shortcut to the app of your choice.
A You can change the personalized shortcut by touching and holding
icon in the Pen Pop options.

Content sharing
Playing content from another device
You can play photos, videos or songs saved on your device from a TV.
1 Connect the TV and your device to the same Wi-Fi network.
2 While viewing the items from the Gallery or Music app, tap or
Play on other device, then select a TV you want to connect
to.
A To use Chromecast, update Google Play to the latest version.
Viewing content from nearby devices
You can view content from various devices, such as a computer, NAS
or mobile device, by using the Gallery or Music apps.
Connecting the devices
Connect both your device and another device that support DLNA
function to the same wireless network.
A Make sure that File sharing (DLNA) is activated on both the device
and the connected device.
Searching for nearby devices
You can view a list of DLNA compatible devices on the same network
by selecting the Nearby devices tab in each app.
Use content from nearby devices as if you were using it on your
deivce.

Sending or receiving files
You can share files between your device and another LG device, or a
tablet or computer.
Sending files
From the Gallery, File Manager or Music app, tap SHARE or ,
then select a device on the file sharing list.
Receiving files
Drag the status bar downward, then activate File sharing.
If your device does not support the file sharing feature, tap
Settings Networks Share & connect File sharing
SmartShare Beam.
Do not disturb
You can limit or mute notifications to avoid disturbances for a specific
period of time.
1 Tap Settings Sound & notification Do not disturb and
then swipe to turn the feature on.
2 Tap Sounds and vibrations and select the mode you want:
A Priority only: Set to Priority only to have sounds and
vibrations silenced except for priorities and alarms.
A Total silence: Disable both sounds and vibration.

Ringtone ID
You can set the device to play an automatically created ringtone for
an incoming call from a selected contact.
1 Tap Settings Sound & notification Ringtone ID and then
swipe to activate it.
2 Tap Compose ringtones for and select the desired option.
A The default ringtone plays for incoming calls from contacts except
for the selected contact.

A Proximity/Ambient light sensor
- Proximity sensor: The proximity sensor turns off the screen and
disables touch functionality when the device is in close proximity
to the human body. It turns the screen back on and enables
touch functionality when the device is outside a specific range.
- Ambient light sensor: The ambient light sensor analyses the
ambinent light intensity when the auto-brightness control mode
is turned on.
A Volume keys
- Adjust the volume for ringtones, calls or notifications.
- Gently press a volume key to take a photo. To take continuous
shots of photos, press and hold the volume key.
- Press the volume down (-) key twice to launch the Camera app
when the screen is locked or turned off. Press the volume up (+)
key twice to launch Capture+.
A Power/Lock key
- Briefly press the key when you want to turn on or off the screen.
- Press and hold the key when you want to select a power control
option.
A Some functions may be restricted for access, depending on the
device specifications.
A Do not put heavy objects on the device or sit on it, as this may
damage the screen.
A Screen-protective film or accessories may interfere with the
proximity sensor.
A If your device is wet or is being used in a humid place, the touch
sensor or buttons may not function properly.
