If you’re a Pay Monthly customer you can:
■Check your usage: for a quick snapshot of your
bill and to see how many minutes and messages
you have left per month.
■Manage your account: see what you’ve spent
each month, check how to pay your bill, see
what price plan you’re on and view recent bills.
■Manage your details: you can update your
personal details including your address.
■Manage your alerts: set up alerts to keep you
up to date on the stuff you love.
If you’re a Pay As You Go customer you can:
■Check your balance: for a quick snapshot
of how much cash, minutes and messages you
have left.
■Top-up your account: buy a Top-up at
any time you like. You’ll need to register
your debit or credit card details.
■Buy an Add-on: convert your Top-ups to
Add-ons by going to My3.
■Manage your account: register your debit or
credit card details. After seven days you’ll be able
to buy a Top-up at any time you like.

Make calls
>Press and enter the number.
>Press .
>Press and select Video call to make
a video calls.
>Press to end a call.
Receive calls
>To answer a call press .
>Press to end.
>During a video call, you’ll see a large picture of
the other person and a small picture of how you
look to them in the bottom right of the screen.
>To stop the other person from seeing
you: press Private.
>To hide the picture of you on your mobile:
select Options and scroll to Hide my picture.
Set up voicemail and videomail
>To set up voicemail: press and hold .
Follow the voice prompts to choose a PIN and
record your greeting.
>To set up videomail: press and dial 123.
>Press and select Make Video Call.
Follow the voice prompts to record your video
greeting. The caller will see your video greeting
when you can’t answer a video call.

Press to access the messaging menu.
Send a text or multimedia message
>To send a text: Select Create new message then
select Message.
>Write the message and press Send.
>Enter the contact number or select one of your
contacts and press Send.
>To send a multimedia message to a phone or
email address: Select Create message.
>Select
>Enter the message details and contact as above.
Send an email
>To send an email you first need to set up email
on your mobile – see page 10.
>Enter email address next to To. Then select
Email. Write your message in the message field
and select OK.
Retrieve and reply to an email
>To retrieve an email: Press , scroll to Mailbox.
At 3mail select Open, then select Yes or
press Synch.
>To reply to an email: select and at Reply
select OK.

>To take a photo or record a video:
press on the right side of your mobile.
>To switch between camera and video mode,
use the switch on the right side of
your mobile.
>Press to take a photo or to start and
stop video recording.
>Select and follow menu.
You can control light, brightness, quality, file size
and duration. Use the right hand menu options
when using the video or camera.
View and send photos or video clips

>select your preferred image or video >>

Add a photo to your contact
You can associate a photo with a contact
stored on the handset.
>Highlight the contact > Options > Edit
> Image > Use existing image > My
images > select your preferred image.

Share video clips – SeeMe TV
SeeMe TV is a new channel on 3where you’re the
star. Simply record a clip and submit it. We’ll publish it
if we can and if someone pays to watch it, you’ll even
be paid.
>Take a video, then send it to 32323 .
Watch SeeMe TV
>Press and select .
>Scroll to SeeMeTV and select OK.
>Scroll to your preferred topic and then
select the clip.
Share your pictures and video clips
with friends
3’s My Gallery allows you to store and share your
pictures and video clips instantly.
>Take a photo or video, then send it to 3333
.
>You’ll receive a text message with your password
to access My Gallery on three.co.uk
>Visit three.co.uk/mygallery
>Enter your 3mobile number and the password
you received.
You can invite friends to visit your gallery
as well as change your password at
three.co.uk/mygallery. There are User Rules
and Terms and Conditions for the use of My
Gallery. See three.co.uk/mygallery for details.
You must get permission from anyone in your
video before you send it. By sending a video you
agree to SeeMe TV’s other rules (see
three.co.uk/seemetv for full t&cs and info on
how you will be paid). It costs 50p to send a video
to 32323.

Set up your email
You’ll need: Windows 2000 Professional or Windows
XP; a Pentium II 233MHz (or compatible CPU); at
least 128MB of RAM and 20MB of hard disk space; a
USB port and CD-ROM drive.
Install the file transfer software
>From the standby screen select >and then
select Phone settings
>Select Connectivity > USB connection mode
>Select Data Service and choose OK
>Close down any open applications on your PC
and load the CD that came with your mobile.
The installation should begin automatically –
if it doesn’t, click on My Computer and then
on the LG installer.
>Once the programme is running, click on Install
LG PC Suite and follow the wizard to install.
Select the language you would like the installer
to run in and click OK. Follow the instructions
on screen to complete the installation.
Connecting your phone and PC
>Connect the USB cable to your phone and PC
>Double click on the LG PC Suite Icon on
your desktop
>Click on Connection Wizard, then USB
>Click on Next, Next and then Finish.
Your phone and PC are now connected.

Set up your username
To set up your 3mail you need to have set up
a voicemail PIN first.
>Press and select .
Scroll to Mail and select.
>Scroll to Enter username and select OK for the
text prompt. Key in your preferred username (eg
johnsmith), scroll down to Done and select OK.
Then select OK again.
>If this name has already been taken you will be
asked to choose again. Once your username has
been accepted your email address will be
displayed(eg [email protected]).
Set up your profile
>Press > Settings > Email > Email accounts
> >press Edit (right soft key).
>Select Username and key in your mobile
number starting with 44xxxxxxxxxx without plus
(+) > Password and key in the 4-digit PIN you
selected for voicemail > Email address and key
in your email address (eg [email protected])
> Done (right soft key).
You’re now ready to send and receive emails
from your 3mail account.
Collect emails from other accounts
To collect emails from other accounts you need to
set up your POP3 email account.
>Press and select . Scroll
to Mail and select OK. Scroll to
and select OK. Scroll to Settings and press OK.
Scroll to Manage other mail and press OK. At
Add new account select OK.
>Scroll to Name this account, press OK for the
text prompt and enter a name for the account.
Then do the same in turn for POP3 server
address, POP3 Username, and POP3 user
password, select Done and select OK.
You can check these details with your email /
internet service provider.
You’re now ready to collect emails from another
email account.

Getting the most from your battery
>You can recharge your battery several hundred
times before it will need replacing. You don’t
need to fully discharge it before recharging.
>Don’t expose the battery charger to direct
sunlight or use in areas of high humidity such as a
bathroom. Battery life will decrease if you expose
it to temperatures below -10°C or above 45°C.
>If you charge your battery regularly and you
notice a decrease in talk time or an increase in
charging time, then it’s probably time to buy a
new battery.

Transfer images, music and videos
>Connect your mobile and PC
>Click on Contents icon
>Select your preferred files and then drag and
drop files between your phone and
PC into the relevant folders.
Synchronising your contacts
>Connect your phone to your PC
>Click on the Contacts icon
>Select Transfer > Import from mobile handset.
Your PC will now import and display all contacts
saved to your USIM card and handset.
>Click on File and select Save. You can now select
where you would like to save your contacts
