severe ACL injuries a few months apart.
We purchased multiple pieces of exercise
equipment for our in-home rehab but were

Compression therapy has a wide variety of applications and health benefits.
Physical therapists, chiropractors, and athletic trainers use compression
therapy to help athletes recover from injury and improve performance. The
Axis Air Compression Leg Massager is your new fitness go-to. Use the Axis
post-workout to speed up your workout recovery or pre-workout to enhance
your performance.
Compression therapy helps strengthen vein support which improves blood
flow activity in the legs and feet. Use the Axis to soothe tired, sore feet and
legs after a long day of standing or walking. The compression boots have
eight air chambers which inflate and deflate individually according to the
selected mode. The Axis Air Compression Leg Massager deeply penetrates
your muscles and fascia, which improves blood circulation and lymphatic
drainage, promotes healing, and reduces inflammation.
Use the Axis while sitting comfortably on the couch watching TV, reading a
book, or working at your desk. The Axis is highly portable and the lithium-
ion battery provides 1–1.5 hours of use-time per charge. Five pressure
intensities and five modes allow you to choose the perfect settings for all
of your massage needs.

FIRST STEPS
1. Remove your Axis from the box and packaging, and inspect the unit and
accessories for shipping damage.
2. Carefully read all safety warnings and operating instructions before
setting up and using the Axis.
3. Go to axis.lifeprofitness.com and register your product within
14 days of purchase to activate your lifetime warranty.
4. Complete the steps in the EASY-START SETUP GUIDE on page 8 to set
up your Axis.

CHARGING YOUR MOBILE DEVICE WITH THE CONTROLLER
You may use the controller’s built-in 2500 mAh battery to charge your
mobile phone or tablet:
1. Plug your mobile device’s USB charging cable into the USB port on the
base of the controller.
2. Disconnect the charging cable when the mobile device is fully charged.

UNLOCK THE CONTROLLER
The controller comes locked to ensure
it does not accidentally turn on during
shipping. To unlock it:
• Plug the charging adapter into the
DC port on the base of the controller.
• Plug the charging adapter into a
standard wall outlet.
NOTE: If you wish to lock the controller
for travel or storage, press and hold the
Power button for 10 seconds. The buzzer
will sound twice to indicate the controller
has been locked.
FULLY CHARGE THE BATTERY
• Leave the charging cable plugged into
the controller and wall outlet and fully
charge the battery, for up to 5 hours,
before using the Axis for the first time.
• Disconnect the charging cable as soon
as the controller is fully charged.
CONNECT THE AIR HOSES AND
ADAPTER
• Insert the end of the left and right air hoses into the female end
of the hose adapter. Push firmly but not too hard. The air hose
connectors will click into place.
• Insert the male end of the hose adapter into the base of the
controller. Push firmly but not too hard. The hose adapter will
click into place.

PLACE THE CONTROLLER IN A SAFE LOCATION
• Place the controller on a flat, stable surface next to you.
• WARNING! Do not place the controller on a bed, blanket,
pillow, or soft furniture. Do not cover the controller.
• Place it at least six inches from the edge of the surface and
make sure it will not be able to slip off.
• Ensure you can easily reach the controller during the massage.
PLACE THE COMPRESSION BOOTS ON YOUR LEGS
• Sit, or lie, comfortably with your legs straight or slightly bent at
the knee.
• Unfold the compression boots and zip each boot to about ankle
height.
• Slide a compression boot onto each leg.
• Your feet should rest flat in the bottom of the boots and the top
of the boot should extend fully up your leg to your thigh.
• The boots are marked “L” (left) and “R” (right) to ensure correct
placement.
• When your legs are fully inserted, zip up the boots to secure them
to your feet and legs.
NOTES:
• Do not stand, walk, cross your legs, or sleep, while using the
compression boots.
• Keep boots completely zipped for the entire massage session.
• If the boots are too tight you will need a larger size. Contact
customer support for options.
BEGIN THE MASSAGE PROGRAM
• Press the Power button on the controller to turn it on.
• Adjust the massage time, pressure, and mode, as desired.
• Press the Start button to begin the massage.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Please read the operating instructions
before using the Axis. Keep this manual for
reference.
CHARGING THE BATTERY
• Fully charge the battery, for up to 5 hours,
before using it for the first time.
• To charge the battery:
• Connect the charging adapter to the
DC charging port on the base of the
controller.
• Plug the charging adapter into a wall outlet.
• After the first charge, it will typically take 1–1.5 hours to charge the battery.
• The Battery Indicator LEDs on the controller screen indicate the current
battery level:
• 4 LEDs lit = 76–100% • 2 LEDs lit = 26–50%
• 3 LEDs lit = 51–75% • 1 LED lit = <25%
• When one Battery Indicator LED remains, the
Power Indicator LED will turn red and the buzzer
will sound once. We recommend charging the
battery right away.
• When the battery is completely drained, the
buzzer will sound once and the device will
automatically shut down. For best results, do not
allow the battery to completely drain.
• Average run-time on a full battery charge is
1–1.5 hours.
• Disconnect the charging cable immediately after
charging and before cleaning or storing.
• For best results, only charge the battery at
temperatures of 32–104° F.
NOTE: The Axis may be used while it is charging,
except when the battery is extremely low. When the
battery is very low, the controller will not turn on.
OPERATING THE AXIS CONTROLLER
1. Mode Indicator LEDs: LEDs show the selected mode, A, B, C, D, E.
2. Air Chamber Indicator LEDs: LEDs show the air chambers that are
currently inflating in the selected mode.
3. Pressure Display: Shows the selected air pressure level in mmHg.
4. Time Display: Shows the selected working time during setup and the
time remaining during the massage.
5. Mode Button: Press to toggle through the five massage modes, A, B, C,
D, E. Mode A is the default mode.
6. Power Button: Press to power on / off.
7. Start/Pause Button: Press to start/pause the massage. The controller
will automatically shut down if paused for longer than one minute.
8. Time Button: Press to toggle through the time options, 10, 20, 30, 40,
50 minutes. 10 minutes is the default.
9. Pressure Button: Press to toggle through the five air pressure levels,
50, 100, 150, 200, 250. 50 mmHg is the default.
10. Battery Indicator LEDs: 4 LEDs show the current battery level.

USING YOUR AXIS AIR COMPRESSION LEG MASSAGER
To begin a default massage (Mode A, at 50mmHg pressure for 10 minutes):
1. Press the Power button to turn on the controller. The OLED display will
show the Welcome Screen, then the Main Screen.
2. Press the Start/Stop button to start the default massage.
To begin a custom massage:
1. Press the Power button to turn on the controller. The OLED display will
show the Welcome Screen, then the Main Screen.
2. Press the Mode button to toggle through the five modes:
Mode A: Air chambers inflate and deflate one at a time. When the first
air chamber is fully inflated, it begins to deflate as the second
chamber inflates. The second deflates as the third inflates, and so
on. Repeats cyclically.
Mode B: Each air chamber inflates, one at a time, until all eight are
inflated. Then all eight air chambers deflate together. Repeats
cyclically.
Mode C: Two air chambers inflate and then deflate at a time. When the
first two chambers are fully inflated, they begin to deflate as the
third and fourth chambers inflate. The third and fourth chambers
deflate as the fifth and six chambers inflate, and so on. Repeats
cyclically.
Mode D: Two air chambers inflate at a time until all eight are inflated.
Then all air chambers deflate at the same time. Repeats cyclically.
Mode E: Every other air chamber inflates, then deflates, one at a time.
Once the first air chamber is fully inflated, it begins to deflate as
the third chamber inflates. The third deflates as the fifth inflates,
the fifth deflates as the seventh inflates, and so on. Repeats
cyclically.
3. Press the Pressure button to toggle through the presets, 50, 100, 150,
200, and 250 mmHg.
4. Press the Time button to toggle through the presets, 10, 20, 30, 40,
and 50 minutes.
5. Press the Start/Pause button to begin the massage.
6. Press the Start/Pause button at any time during the massage to pause
it. Press the Start/Pause button again within one minute to restart the
massage. After one minute, the controller will automatically shut down.
7. Press and hold the Power button for two seconds to power off.
8. Always power off and unplug the device after each use.
9. Allow the boots to deflate before unzipping and removing them. Be
sure to remain seated when removing the boots from your legs.
10.After removing the boots, gently squeeze each one to release any
remaining air.
11.Allow the boots to completely cool before cleaning or storing.
NOTES:
• The mode, massage time, and air pressure level can be changed at any
time during the massage.
• The controller will automatically shut down if paused for longer than
1 minute.
• For best results, do not use continuously for more than 1 hour.
REMOVING THE COMPRESSION BOOTS
It is crucial to power off and remove the compression boots in the correct
order to avoid damaging them:
1. Press and hold the Power button on the controller for two seconds to
power off the device.
2. Allow the compression boots to completely deflate before removing.
3. Remain seated while you unzip and remove the boots from your legs.
STORING THE COMPRESSION BOOTS
For storage, it is important to disconnect the air
hoses and hose adapter from the controller:
1. Press the release clips on either side of each air
hose connector to disconnect it from the hose
adapter.
2. Press the release clips on either side of the hose adapter to disconnect
it from the base of the controller.
NOTE: Always allow the boots to completely cool before storing.

TIPS FOR USING YOUR AXIS
• Do not use the compression boots over bare skin. Always wear light, clean pants
(such as sweatpants or leggings) and thin socks to prevent skin irritation and to
keep the inside of the boots clean.
• Pants and socks should be unrestrictive and absorbent (we recommend light cotton
clothing). Do not wear pants with zippers, buttons, or metal accessories on the
legs. Do not wear accessories in the treatment area.
• Partially zip the boots before pulling them onto your legs.
• Do not inflate the compression boots with the zippers open, as doing so can
damage the boots. Do not inflate the compression boots while empty.
• Ensure your feet and legs are fully inserted into the boots and that the boots are
completely zipped before inflating.
• Sit, or lie, comfortably with your legs straight or slightly bent at the knee. Do not
stand, walk, cross your legs, or sleep, while using the compression boots.
• Check the areas you are treating frequently and stop immediately at the first sign
of pain or discomfort.
• Deflate the boots before removing them from your legs. Only remove boots while
seated.
• It’s best to begin using your Axis massager for no more than 10–20 minutes at a
time. Gradually increase the massage duration over time.
• For first time users, we recommend beginning with the lowest air pressure
intensity, 50mmHg, and increasing the air pressure over a few weeks as your feet
and legs become accustomed to compression massage. We strongly recommend
not using over 100mmHg pressure the first few times you use the device.
• Drink plenty of water before and after use.
• The device will automatically power off after the set working time.
CAUTION
• Stop using immediately if you feel dizzy, light headed, or experience pain or
shortness of breath.
• Do not use this product in combination with ointments, salves, liniments, balms,
or other topical pain-relievers that contain ingredients that produce heat (such as
capsaicin), as this may result in burns.
• Do not wear belts, jewelry, or pants with metal accessories, such as snaps,
buttons, zippers, in the treatment area, as the metal may heat and cause burns.
Metal accessories can also damage the boots.
• Keep away from children and pets.
REPLACING THE BATTERIES
1. Use a small Phillips head
screwdriver to remove the screw
securing the battery cover on the
back of the controller.
2. Set the screw and battery cover
aside.
3. Gently pull the batteries out of
the battery compartment, and
disconnect the batteries from the
cables.
4. Connect the new batteries to the
cables.
5. Replace the cover and secure it to the back of the controller with
the screw.
WARNING
• Ensure the power is off before replacing the batteries.
• Always dispose of batteries properly. Never incinerate batteries in a fire,
as this may result in explosion or fire.
NOTICE
• You may purchase replacement batteries from lifeprofitness.com.
• The lithium-ion batteries may not be disposed of in household trash
at the end of their lifecycle. The batteries must be disposed of as
hazardous waste in accordance with all local and state regulations.

• Consult your physician before use.

not recommended for people who:
• Have heart problems, vascular problems, skin problems.
• Have a history of cancer or vascular disease.
• Have a condition requiring the use of a medical device.
• Are under the care of a physician for a pre-existing health condition or
have any concerns about their health.
• Have unexplained calf pain.
• Do not use this product over open or bleeding wounds, swollen or inflamed
skin, or areas of numbness or skin insensitivity.
• Do not use this product if you:
• Have blood clots, deep-vein thrombosis, deep thrombophlebitis,
phlebitis, arrhythmia, erysipelas, pulmonary edema, heart disease
or vascular disease, abnormal blood pressure, or if you are receiving
treatment to normalize your blood pressure.
• Have a pacemaker or other medical device or implant susceptible to
electrical interference.
• Have poor blood circulation, peripheral neuropathy dysfunction affecting
the legs, ankles, or feet, or if you have sensory deficiencies, including
an impaired ability to sense external temperature or elevated body
temperature.
• Have osteoporosis, have recently had surgery, LASIK or PRK eye surgery,
if you have cancer or suspect you may have cancerous lesions. Do not
use over malignant or benign tumors.
• Consult your physician before use if you are, or suspect you may be,
pregnant, or if you have recently given birth.

• Never operate or charge the device if the battery has been damaged,

• Keep away from liquids. Do not use outdoors, in high-moisture

Do not immerse in water. If the device becomes wet, unplug it, and do not

• In the event of abnormal function, odors, or noises during use, immediately
turn off the controller and unplug the charging adapter.
• Do not use beyond the specified temperature range: 50–86 °F.

• Do not use the device over wet skin or clothing, as this may result in
electric shock or short circuit.
• Keep ventilation ports free from dust and debris.
• Keep sharp objects away from the device and charging cable.
• Do not stand or walk around while using the device or when wearing the air
compression boots.
• Do not operate the device while sleeping, under the influence of drugs or
alcohol, or during transit.
• Check areas you are treating frequently and stop immediately at the first
sign of pain or discomfort, or if you begin to feel light-headed, dizzy, short
of breath, or otherwise unwell. Consult with your physician before using the
device again.
• For adult-use only. Keep away from children and pets. Children should be
supervised to ensure that they do not play with the device or charger.
• Do not use this product on sleeping or unconscious people or infants.
• This device is not intended for use by people with diminished mental,

CAUTION

CLEANING, STORAGE & MAINTENANCE
• Always use the compression boots over clean clothing to keep them clean.
• Always turn off the controller, unplug the charging adapter, and allow the
device to cool down before cleaning or storing.
• Wipe the controller and air hoses with a soft, dry cloth as needed.
WARNING! Do not allow water or other liquids to come into contact with
the controller, air hoses, or charging cable.
• Wipe the compression boots with a slightly damp cloth after each use. You
may wipe the boots with an alcohol wipe, if needed. Allow the boots to
completely dry before using again.
• Compression boots are not machine-washable.
• Do not use abrasive, corrosive, solvent, or chemical cleaners or harsh
detergents to clean the device.
• Store the device in a cool, dry, indoor location. Disconnect the controller
and charging adapter before storing.
• Do not store or transport the product beyond the specified temperature,
humidity, and atmospheric pressure ranges.
• Do not store other objects on top of the device. Store in the carrying case
to prevent damage to the air compression chambers and air hoses.
• Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the device; contains no user-
serviceable parts except the replaceable battery.
NOTICE
• Excessive force or weight applied to the device can crush or damage it.
• To avoid damaging the device, do not wrap the air compression hoses or
charging adapter cable around the boots or controller.
• To avoid damaging them, do not sharply fold the boots or air hoses.
• Keep away from sharp objects that could damage the device or hoses.
Never use pins or other metallic fasteners with this device. Never wear
pants with zippers, buttons, or snaps on the legs while using the device.
• Do not inflate the compression boots with the zippers open, as doing so
can damage the boots.
• Ensure your feet and legs are fully inserted into the boots and that the
boots are completely zipped before inflating. Do not inflate the boots when
empty.
• Do not insert objects into the air hoses or ports in the controller.
• Keep away from dust, lint, and dirt.
• Do not use during lightning and thunderstorms.
• Unplug the device immediately in the event of a power failure.
• Only use the provided accessories with the product, other accessories may
damage the product or interfere with the system functionality.
• Portable and mobile RF communication equipment may affect the product.
• This device is intended for in-home use only. Do not use in any commercial,
rental, institutional, or therapeutic setting.
• The controller’s lithium-ion batteries may not be disposed of in household
trash. They must be disposed of as hazardous waste in accordance with all
local and state regulations.
• The device will automatically power off after the set working time. For
best results, do not use continuously for more than 1 hour.

The CryoFrost Compression System is your new fitness go-to. Use it post-
workout to speed up your workout recovery or pre-workout to enhance your
performance. Use the CryoFrost to reduce pain after an intense workout,

walking. The CryoFrost system comes with an ankle compression wrap and
a thigh compression wrap, which can be applied to the thigh, knee, calf, or
