severe ACL injuries a few months apart.
We purchased multiple pieces of exercise
equipment for our in-home rehab but were
left disappointed and frustrated by fitness

FIRST STEPS
1. Remove your Serenity from the shipping box and remove all packaging
from the unit and accessories.
2. Remove the transparent protective sticker from the control panel.
3. Inspect the device and accessories for shipping damage.
4. Read carefully through this user manual and all safety instructions
before using the Serenity.
5. Go to serenity.lifeprofitness.com and register your product within
14 days of purchase to activate your lifetime warranty.
6. Complete the steps in the EASY-START SETUP GUIDE on page 7
to begin using your Serenity.

ACTIVATE THE REMOTE CONTROL
• Remove the back of the remote control.
• Remove the battery and the small plastic insert under the
battery.
• Re-insert the 3V CR2032 battery into the battery compartment.
• Ensure the “+” on the battery matches the “+” polarity marker on
the battery compartment.
• Securely replace the back of the remote.
SET UP THE SERENITY
• Place the Serenity on a flat, level, non-slip surface in front of a
chair.
CONNECT THE SERENITY TO POWER
• Connect the AC power adapter cord to the power cord jack on
the front of the Serenity.
• Plug the power adapter into a wall outlet.
BEGIN USING THE SERENITY
• Sit down in the chair and place your feet on the foot pads.
• Press the Power button on the remote control to turn on the
Serenity.

PARTS OF THE SERENITY TIPS FOR USING YOUR SERENITY
USING THE SERENITY
• Place the Serenity on a flat, level surface during use. Do not use on slippery
or uneven surfaces.
• Start at the lowest speed, and increase the speed level slowly.
• If you have sensitive feet, use the lowest speed, level 1, to avoid discomfort.
• You may wish to wear socks during use to further prevent discomfort.
• Do not use on wet or sweaty feet.
• Stop use if you feel tired or dizzy, or if you experience pain.
• Foot massage can have a stimulating effect and prevent sleep, so it’s best
not to use the Serenity right before bedtime.
• Drink plenty of water before and after use.
• Daily use will help you reach your wellness and pain-reduction goals.
• You may wear the remote control on a lanyard around your neck if you wish
to use it “hands-free.” Simply attach the remote to a lanyard via the hole in
the bottom-center of the remote. (Lanyard not included.)
• The default massage program time is 10 minutes. Do not use continuously
for more than 20 minutes.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
• Never use the Serenity under a blanket or pillow. Excessive heat can
potentially cause fire, electrocution, or injury to people or property.
• Keep the unit, power cord, and remote control away from heat sources and
fire.
• The Serenity is not waterproof. Keep the unit, power cord, and remote
control away from liquids and do not immerse in water.
• Never use the Serenity or plug/unplug the power cord with wet hands.
• Always power off and unplug the unit after each use.
• Do not sit or stand on the Serenity; the maximum weight capacity is 66 lbs.
(33 lbs. per footpad). Do not exert excessive downward force on the foot
pads or massage rollers.
• Do not place your fingers or toes between or under the footpads.
• It is recommended to use the remote control to adjust or stop the massage
once the massage program has begun. Using the control panel while the
unit is moving could result in an accident or injury.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
USING THE CONTROL PANEL TO OPERATE THE SERENITY
1. Power Button: Power the Serenity on and off.
2. Program Button: In standby mode, toggle through the three preset
massage programs, P1, P2, P3.
3. Start Button: Start the selected massage program.
4. Stop Button: Stop the massage program at any time during the
massage.
5. Time/Speed +/- Buttons*: Before the manual program begins, use
the buttons to increase or decrease the program duration, from 1-10
minutes, in one-minute increments. After the massage begins, use the
buttons to increase or decrease the massage speed, from level 1-15.
6. Speed/Program Window: In standby mode, the window shows the
selected massage program. After a massage begins, the window shows
the current massage speed.
7. Remote: Infrared receiver for the remote control. For best results point
the remote control directly at the receiver from no more than
6 feet away.
8. Time Window: The window shows the remaining massage time in one-
minute increments.
USING THE REMOTE TO OPERATE THE SERENITY
1. Increase ( ) Speed Button*: Once
the manual program begins, press
the button to increase the massage
speed.
2. Program Button: In standby mode,
press the button to toggle between
the 3 massage programs, P1, P2, P3.
3. Increase Time (+) Button*: Before
the manual program begins, press
the button to increase the program
duration.
4. Decrease Time (-) Button*: Before
the manual program begins, press
the button to decrease the program
duration.
5. Decrease Speed ( ) Button*: Once
the manual program begins, press
the button to decrease the massage
speed.
6. Start/Stop Button: Start/stop the
selected massage program.
7. Power Button: Power the Serenity on
and off.
*Speed and time cannot be adjusted for the automatic
program, P3.
MODES
Standby Mode: The Serenity is powered on, but no massage program has
been started.
Working Mode: One of the three massage programs is running.

CHOOSING A PROGRAM
CHOOSING A MASSAGE PROGRAM
You can select from three programs, P1-P3. Each preset massage program
is 10 minutes long and uses different massage and vibration intensities to
soothe your feet. The three programs are:
• P1: Manual program, vibration only. Speed and time duration are
adjustable.
• P2: Manual program, combines vibration and massage. Speed and time
duration are adjustable.
• P3: Automatic program, alternates between vibration only and a
combination of vibration and massage. Speed is set automatically and
ranges from levels 9 to 15. Massage time is 10 minutes and cannot be
adjusted.
STARTING A MANUAL PROGRAM P1 OR P2
To begin a manual program, you can use the control panel or remote control:
1. Press the Power button to turn the system ON.
2. Choose one of the two manual massage programs, P1 or P2, by pressing
the Program button to toggle through the programs.
3. Use the Increase/Decrease Time (+ / -) buttons on the remote control to
set a massage time, from 1-10 minutes, in one-minute increments.
4. Press the Start button to activate the selected program.
3. Speed will begin at level 1. Use the Increase/Decrease Speed ( / )
buttons on the remote control to adjust the massage speed, from level
1-15.
4. Press the Stop button to stop the massage at any time.
5. The Serenity will stop automatically when the set working time is
complete. Simply choose a new program to begin massaging again.
6. Always press the Power button to turn off the Serenity and unplug it
after each use.
STARTING THE AUTOMATIC PROGRAM P3
To begin the automatic program, P3, you can use the control panel or remote
control:
1. Press the Power button to turn the system ON.

2. Press the Program button to toggle through the massage programs to
select P3.
3. Press the Start button to activate the selected program.
4. Press the Stop button to stop the massage at any time.
5. The Serenity will stop automatically when the 10-minute working time is
complete. Simply choose a new program to begin massaging again.
6. Always press the Power button to turn off the Serenity and unplug it
after each use.
NOTE: You cannot adjust the speed or time for P3.
MASSAGE INTENSITY AND SPEED
Massage intensity corresponds to the
following speeds:
MASSAGING YOUR LEGS AND BACK
To use the Serenity to massage your calves or thighs:
1. Sit on the floor (on a cushion, if the floor is uncomfortable) with the
Serenity in front of you.
2. Place your calves or thighs on the foot pads.
3. Select the desired massage program.
To use the Serenity to massage your lower back:
1. Sit on a wooden, plastic, or metal chair with a back.
2. Place the Serenity behind you on the chair against the chair back. Position
it upright, with the foot pads facing your back.
3. Select the desired massage program.
WARNING: Do not sit or stand on the Serenity; the unit’s maximum weight
capacity is 66 lbs. (33 lbs. per footpad).

malfunctioning, or if the unit has been exposed to water.
7. Only operate the Serenity on a flat, level, non-slip surface.
8. Do not operate the Serenity while driving.
9. The unit will automatically stop working after 10 minutes of use. Do not use
continuously for more than 20 minutes.
10. The Serenity is intended for in-home use only. Do not use the Serenity in any
commercial, rental, institutional, or therapeutic setting.
11. Dispose of the Serenity, battery, and all parts according to local and state regulations.
ELECTRICAL/BATTERY SAFETY
12. WARNING: Only use the included power adapter.
13. Do not use outdoors. Do not use the unit in high-temperature or high-moisture
environments.
14. Do not charge the battery. It must be replaced with the same type.
15. Do not ingest the battery. If the battery has been ingested, seek medical help
immediately, as this can cause internal burns or even death.
16. Keep ventilation ports free from dust and debris.
17. The unit is not waterproof. Keep away from liquids. Do not use in a place where the unit
may become wet or damp. Do not immerse in water. If the unit becomes wet, do not use.
18. Keep the unit away from flammable or explosive items, chemicals, open flame, and heat
sources such as central heating, portable heaters, stoves, fireplaces, and ovens.
19. Do not operate under a blanket or pillow. Excessive heat can potentially cause fire,
electrocution, or injury to person(s) or property.
20. Do not operate in the presence of aerosol (spray) products or corrosive gases, or where
concentrated oxygen is being administered.
21. Never drag or hang the Serenity by its power cable.
SAFETY
22. Never leave the Serenity unattended while it is running.
23. Consult with a medical professional before using the device if you have a medical
condition such as diabetes, inflammation; if you suffer from heart disease, circulatory
problems, blood clots, or osteoporosis; if you have a pacemaker or other similar implant;
if you recently had surgery; if you are or may be pregnant.
24. Do not use if injured. Never use directly on swollen or inflamed skin or open wounds.
25. Stop using immediately if you feel discomfort, pain, dizziness, or nausea.
26. Always use the Serenity while seated comfortably in a chair.
27. Do not sit or stand on the Serenity; the maximum weight capacity is 66 lbs. (33 lbs. per
footpad). Do not exert excessive downward force on the foot pads or massage rollers.
28. Do not insert hands, feet, or objects under the foot pads.
29. Children and adults with diminished mental or physical capacity may only use the
Serenity while closely supervised by a responsible adult.
30. Keep pets away from the Serenity at all times.
CLEANING, STORAGE & MAINTENANCE
31. Turn off, unplug, and allow unit to cool down after each use and before cleaning or storing.
32. Wash your hands before each use in order to keep the massage chamber clean.
33. Wipe down the Serenity with a soft, slightly damp cloth after each use. Never allow
water or other liquids to come into contact with the unit.
34. Do not use abrasive, solvent, or chemical cleaners or harsh detergents.
35. Store the device in a cool, dry location.
36. Remove battery if the remote will not be used for a long time, and store in a cool, dry place.
37. Do not remove screws or attempt to disassemble.

Quickly troubleshoot simple issues you might experience with your Serenity Foot
Massager using the table below.
